So glad we stopped here on our visit to Maple Ridge, because Big Feast is truly amazing. It's welcoming and staff is super kind. I had the Carmel macchiato on recommendation and wow, as a Starbucks girl I didn't think anything could beat it, but this does. My partner had the ceasar and I got jealous, so had one of those too. Amazing! Totally the right spice and flavor level. As for food, well no complaints here. Sourdough bread, lots of gluten free options, and a huge range of savory to sweet. Had lunch on a Sunday and this place was very busy but surprisingly got seated in less than 5 minutes. Serving time is a bit longer but totally worth it. This place never failed me so far from all of my visits. Food was very fresh, tasty and hot. I've enjoyed every bite of it. Came here for the first time while passing through Maple Ridge and it did not disappoint! There was a bit of a wait but understandably so. Once seated, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and very attentive. My husband and I shared the blackened chicken sandwich and the what's the story morning glory. Both plates were very good! I loooved my side of the roasted yam curry soup. My FIL got the pulled pork hash and I think that was the winner at the table. I will definitely be back to order that dish next time. We found the freezer section inside with some gourmet prepaired meals and got some to try at home as well as the same soup. So far we have had the soup and it was just as good as I remember it! Someone told me about this place and how it's famous for brunch. So we came here on a Sunday morning. It was not so busy before 10 am and it got fairly full after 11 am. Best to make reservations if you have a big group or going later in the day. We shared two brunch dishes -- maple bacon French toast and my favorite breakfast sandwich. They were delicious! The French toast was really tasty with generous serving of sautéed bacon apple chutney over it. I do recommend to share that as there were 4 pieces of the toast. My favorite breakfast sandwich was roti prata with tomato, egg and bacon. The prata was a nice touch. The home potatoes were crisped around the edges making them so yummy. I had the cappuccino which was ok. I liked that the staff was honest to say they don't do a flat white. The menu is full of dishes which are not the run of the mill stuff so I will definitely want to come back here to try other items like the meatloaf, tuna nachos, chorizo hash... This is fantastic restaurant. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The service is optimistic and professional. I like the design of the interior, despite the small venue space. I ate there for lunch and had the Lennon's French Toast. It was the best French toast I have ever had at any establishment. All of the ingredients pay compliments to each other and taste great altogether. The coffee was not just great, it was Grade-A quality. What I ordered: * Lamb Hash (Recommend) $20 Absolutely tasty dish, hits all the flavours I enjoy. Savoury lamb sausage with a creamy hollandaise, fresh kale and radishes served under perfectly cooked sweet potatoes and topped with poached eggs. Big Feast is an absolute favourite of mine and the best place for breakfast in Maple Ridge. The atmosphere is great, the food is stellar and the service is fantastic. Rebecca is a rockstar. She's friendly, has excellent recommendations for dishes to try and is always willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel welcomed and at home here. She's also quick with the coffee refills which is appreciated. My usual order is the Green Eggs and Ham dish that features delicious homemade pesto eggs, roasted garlic cloves and goat cheese. This is my go-to order every single time. I don't eat meat so I get avocado instead of ham in it. The roasted breakfast potatoes are to die for, especially with the in-house-made hot sauce (available to purchase for home too). The other dish we ordered was the Holiday French Toast (a feature this month). This dish has homemade Nutella (amazing and not overly sweet like the store bought variety) and jam. You could easily have this dish as a dessert because of how sweet and satisfying it is. Make sure you head to Big Feast to try the French toast because it is delectable. Parking in the back Made reservations for 8 but was pretty quiet in a Monday night at 430pm The dishes were hearty and filling with plenty of options. There were a handful of vegan options which were delicious and left us full and the flavor was great. We were there in an off night, the server was friendly and kind. She did her best for a busy night when all her other coworkers called in sick. She did a phenomenal job with all that pressure and kept smiling and being as kind and attentive as she could. The restaurant is a decent size small to moderate, with some extra sales for meals to take home for the freezer to save you some work later in the week. We visited Big Feast in early 2021 because we needed a change. The food was excellent so we came back a few more times after they added their indoor seating back. Most is white tablecloth type food but in a more casual atmosphere. Several comfort foods as well. They also have a freezer with take and bake food that you can prepare at home. read more

Small cafe in Maple Ridge serving delicious breakfast and lunch dishes! My family and i came here for Good Friday and since it was a Holiday, they were quite busy but they have a great system of putting your name down and texting you when your table is ready! Because of this, we were able to explore nearby before sitting down for our lunch. We ordered the pulled pork hash, eggs benedict and eat it or beet it salad. The eggs were cooked medium with a deliciously runny yolk. The hollandaise was smooth and creamy all ontop of a fluffy brioche instead of english muffins. The pulled pork hash came with lots of tender and sweet pork, yams and was a delicious meal! Both breakfasts came with a fruit cup as well which was light and refreshing. In addition, the salad was really satisfying with lots of variety including carrots, greens, almonds, beets, avocado and even some rice! It was topped with a grilled chicken breast and the sauce was a not too heavy avocado sesame. It was interesting how the dressing was placed on the bottom though i did ask for it on the side. Nonetheless, it was not overdosed and tasted great with each bite. Overall, a delicious brunch that felt homemade and without the grease slick I dislike! read more

Visited Big Feast last Saturday after hearing it touted as one of the best brunch places in Maple Ridge. Our party of two arrived shortly after 1 pm and there was no wait. The area has ample free street parking and once inside, we were greeted with friendly service and seated promptly. The entire cafe has a rustic, cozy ambiance, with seating on wooden benches in close proximity to your neighbours. Mason jars are showcased on the wooden shelving in the back and daily specials are written on a large chalkboard menu. I ordered the bacon benny with a coffee, whereas my companion got the crab benny. The food took awhile, but they are a small cafe and kitchen so I understand that there might be some wait time. The bacon benny came with four thick cut bacon strips and two soft poached eggs as requested, on homemade focaccia. I really liked the hollandaise - it was creamy but balanced with a nice touch of acidity. The crab benny came with an ample amount of crab meat and avocado and was also very tasty. However, I could see the combination of avocado and hollandaise get very filling very fast. For our sides, we both got the roasted potatoes. They were nicely seasoned but also very filling with the rest of the dish. We both promptly fell into a food coma after the meal haha. Price point at Big Feast is on the higher side, but I do feel that they use high quality ingredients. Everything is made in house and the service we received was prompt and genuine. I'll be back to try more of their extensive menu, especially that lobster grilled cheese! read more

Nice and cozy place for brunch or lunch. The feel inside is clean and homey. It is on the pricier side, portions are smaller because their food is sustainable and locally sourced. The 100 mile bread is very unique and delicious. Their maple bacon salad is amazing but now you have to add $2 because it is considered a premium side. Today, I had the green eggs and ham which was scrambled eggs with house made basil pesto with honey cured ham and goat cheese and a side of fruit salad. The combo as a bit weird but it was good. This salad tasted fresh. My husband had the chorizo eggs with potatoes. I liked his better; it made more flavour. The potatoes were a winner! They had a nice crust but so pillowy soft inside. They also have coffee and baked goods that people came in to order and take away. They have a toddler friendly nook and my toddler devoured our meals so we will be back. read more

Amazing food and good service. Some staffs are more friendlier than others but in general, everyone here is polite. The portion of the food is just right with reasonable prices. Quite a few items to choose from both the drink and food menus. They have root beer that's not as sweet and have a unique aroma compared to regular root beer, and they have kombucha that's from another company (not overly sweet as well). Their mac-n-cheese is really good with real cheese so it doesn't look as orange as most Mac-n-cheese and not as salty. Food is tasty and not too greasy. Came again after a week and would highly recommend it to everyone! read more

Hands down, the best restaurant in Maple Ridge! Make reservations! Even if it's just 2 of you! We came on a Friday and ordered many dishes, including options for my GF and vegan self! I got the veggie burger, made vegan and GF by subbing for their Zena's GF bread (a local GF bread company). I added the potato sweet potato hash plus a side of the QKC salad (quinoa salad). Holy smoke show, the burger was huge and very flavourful. It had crispy parts that were so delicious. The burger patty did fall a bit apart but it was more than ok! It was super good. The hash was rich and tasty. The QFC salad didn't last long. Everyone helped themselves to it. For desert, I got a raw peanut butter cookie and a coconut chocolate cake. Too much coconut for my liking but the chocolate and base was worth it. The cookie was delicious. I will be back! That's a promise! read more

Their vegan options are honestly so so incredible, and my family agrees that they outshine the meat options both in terms of presentation and taste. The portions are quite large here, and if you have a small appetite it could probably be enough for two meals. The servers all have a great attitude, and the food came out promptly. Dahl (5/5) This was so incredibly delicious, with the star of the show being the roti that it came with. It was so soft and flaky that my brother stole half the roti from me instead of eating his own food. The yellow dahl was really flavourful as well, and there was a good amount of lentils. I highly recommend getting this. What Did You Do With My Tofu? (5/5) This was another outstanding dish. The zoodles weren't too hard or too soggy, and the tofu wasn't overly firm or overly soft either. The zoodle tofu hash was coated in a delicious pesto sauce and topped with a yummy vegan queso. This combination worked surprisingly well as the flavours blended together nicely and did not overpower each other. The sides of choice were fruit or potatoes, and I chose the potatoes, which were cooked to perfection - soft and pillowy, with a mild, caramelised flavour to them. The sweetness from the potatoes and caramelised onions was the perfect balance to the other more savoury components of the dish. The toast I got was sprouted wheat, and though I didn't try it my parents thought it was quite nice. My dad got the Pulled Pork Hash which he enjoyed, though my brother didn't like the bite that he was offered. He says it was the barbecue sauce he didn't like. The sourdough toast he got was alright, but he didn't like the sour taste (he's not a fan of sourdough normally). The eggs he got medium and they were poached nicely and were runny in the middle. My brother got the Italian Sausage Pasta and he didn't really like it and only ate ¼ of it and left the rest. Overall, I strongly recommend the two vegan dishes that we tried (they were honestly perfection I haven't had such a good lunch in a while). The Pulled Pork Hash is decent too but I would stay away from their pastas. read more

A dear friend of mine lives in Maple Ridge and is going through a tough time. A group of us from across Canada and the US wanted to provide her some meals to ease her burden and she mentioned Big Feast. They offer frozen family meals to go as well as frozen single serving meals, which was perfect. I had to call a few days in a row and spoke with lovely women who helped me understand what was possible to get to my friend since none of us are local to Maple Ridge and we could not be there to deliver the meals. The GM Mike was kind enough to deliver our boxes of food and our friend was overwhelmed with gratitude.
