Absolutely stunning views. *Privacy in campgrounds: 1 star You will enjoy no separation from neighboring campsites. Enjoy dinner with all other surrounding sites staring at you! Plus, if tent camping, you can hear the neighbors whisper. *Cleanliness of campsite: 5 stars Not a piece of trash in the campsite. Was well cleaned. *Location of restrooms/showers: 4 stars Took less than 2 minutes to walk to the restrooms/showers located in the center of the loop. *Cleanliness of restrooms: 3 stars Not good, not bad. Floors haven't been swept in a long time. Everywhere is sticky. *Cleanliness of showers: 1 star F-loop showers were NASTY. Fishing lure in the drain, hair on the walls, gum stuck to the floor, diapers left inside. WEAR SHOES WHILE YOU SHOWER. E-Loop showers next door were much, much more reasonable. *Noise: 1 star Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. However, it is not enforced. Every single other camper quieted down around 10pm. Except for one exceptionally loud group who continued to be loud and obnoxious until midnight. We were harassed by this group but didn't have a problem with anyone else. They have small campground onsite though it more to accommodate people renting or taking their own boat out to the bay for crabbing, not designed for leisure camping experience due to its location. It offers its own gift shop, and restroom. Limited condiments on tables. I came prepared with my own lemon/lime and knife.

Great park with a little bit of everything…read more We saw the sign and decided to check it out. First impression: lovely, quiet grounds that appear well-maintained. The park has a lot to offer: a beautiful lake and surrounding trees, picnic shelter, play area, docks, trails, birds & other animal viewing, large flat parking areas (one near each end of the lake), and flush toilets. We took the short, loop trail that starts near the parking lot...part a rolling path within the trees and part within mowed grasses along the lake. There's also an interpretive trail we didn't get to check out that starts near the beautiful, historic log home. Beautiful and peaceful spot to spend an afternoon for sure.

They make a great team, provide the very best equipment, and do everything to ensure you have a whale (tuna?) of a time. We departed the port very early in the morning and proceeded to blast by all the other charters (including ones that started hours earlier) en route to the fishing. Nobody digs taking your time over the bar and their boat guarantees you don't. Upon hitting the fishing "grounds" (why do they call it that!?), we trolled around for about an hour, had a hit or two to tell us we were getting to the right area, and then suddenly all hell broke loose. The next hour or two was nonstop action with a fresh 25-35lb fish entering the boat every couple of minutes. All hands were tied up as we filled the boat in very little time. Based on radio communication, I believe that not only were we one of the first boats to the target water, but we were the first to find the fish, and I'm pretty certain the first to return to port. As much as I like boat rides, charter fishing is not about the ride, and both me and my body were happy to be back on land in the shortest amount of time. By 5pm our fish had been cleaned, packed, and we were on our way home. Everyone left with a filled cooler and a beaming smile on their face. Random notes: - Lunch and drinks are provided. - Bring your own cooler. - Wear sunscreen. - Wear rubber rain boots. - Overdose on dramamine or get your doctor to prescribe you "the patch" - Pack light - you really don't need much. - Save the drinking for the return. - Jackpole. - There will be blood.
