I am remodeling a house and was fairly certain the previous owners never pumped the septic. I contacted 3 or 4 septic services in Pueblo and got no response. Then, I called one that responded, but asked me to uncover the tank. I can't do that quite yet (I'm very slowly recovering from Covid-19), so I went back to the internet, and this time read reviews. Everyone said Big John was a good company, so I tried Big John. Like all the local companies, Big John's Septic was really busy, but came out for a look and discussion, and got me on the schedule in about a week. Well, it snowed and that makes my ground soft, but we got a window one week later. Today they came by early, snuck in with their big diesel powered truck, and cleaned my tank. I thought they were late, and was a bit surprised when John called to ask where I was. The CIA could use someone who can sneak around in that truck, Anyway, they found the tank as bad as we expected, but didn't try to sucker me. One baffle is going, but they said it will be fine a couple more years rather than do it now. They recommended installing risers to make future service easier/cheaper, which makes sense. John answered my call and wasn't able to talk because he was driving, but he said he would call back and HE DID!! He arrived on the day he said he would and even came early. My septic tank was backing up and desperately needed to be pumped. After pumping the only visible tank, John informed me that whoever did the pumping before only pumped the grey water tank and not the main tank! At least 6 years of that tank being full! The main tank cover was covered by grass (I had no idea it was there). Even though they hadn't planned on it, and I know they were busy from being booked solid, John and his son dug up the other tank cover and took the time to pump that one out as well. John was super friendly and extremely professional. He didn't want to leave without doing the right thing, and it's so rare to come across tradesmen these days that have those ethics. He could have easily did what the other guys did and ripped me off. The cost was less than I paid the guys that didn't do the job right in the first place. He gave me a cute little magnet with the next service date which is awesome. This is the only guy I'll call for septic services from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more
