I never leave bad reviews for anyone, however these people are the absolute worst to deal with. Had them hydro jet and scope our pipes and they found a large hole . He gave us an estimate which I was very happy with , but when it came time to schedule the work that's when things went bad. I called to schedule and magically he came up with more things that needed to be done ( tree removal , the whole porch taken out and proceeded to tell me he needed to come out again to redo it because he gave us a half ass estimate thinking we weren't going to use him anyway. I called and got another opinion and estimate. The tree ABSOLUTELY did not need to be removed nor did the porch need to be demolished. We went with Potter excavation and they were amazing , I would recommend them to anyone. Avoid cut rate at all cost. Horrible experience. Cut-Rate was my first call in search of a plumbing service. My initial conversation was with a human answering the phone. She was very nice, she listened to my description of what I was experiencing. I sent her a picture of a potential problem and she processed it with expertise. She never made me feel put off. I don't recall her name. Generally, I would call a few companies but I liked her and scheduled an appointment, without calling others to compare. Dan was the service man that came out. He found the problem to be less than what I had anticipated and saved me half of what I expected to pay, and fixed it promptly. He too was very pleasant to work with. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would! The first time I called them out, they messed around for a couple of hours and said the line was clear. The second time they came out a week later, it was just one guy who used a camera and said there was a root ball in the line, but to remove it was a two-man job. I called the next business day to schedule the two-man job and they were going to charge me even more to come out again, even though nothing was ever successfully done. I work for this company for a day and a half first day was half day because owner had a doctor's appointment no problem second day I started at 7:45 worked till 2:00 I worked with Dan the guy is completely nuts I was interrogated about my life the guy goes to tell me his bipolar,depression and anxiety just felt really uncomfortable working there stay away from working here I also hurt my back lifting the machine going up and downstairs as I was setting the machine down because I carried it up the stairs dan yank it as I set it down and hurt my back ,I told Dan to take me back to the shop he got mad and drove the van back almost hitting a person and taking red lights . Had a clog in my drain called this company and got no results they said they had a 200 ft snake sounds good right No they had 117ft snake so ok let's get the clog undone he was at my house for about 1hr in40 minutes the charges were 146.00 but the guy didn't unclog my drain so I called ROUGE TERRAIN SEWER AND DRAIN well they were at my house for 5 minutes drain fixed called the first company back to at least get half my money back and they called the police on me for harassment they started yelling and screaming at me saying I'm not going to get my money back not a good company they scammed me out my money will never recommend this company to no one bad business for real the wife and husband are terrible rude unreliable scammers all the way Pueblo Colorado. read more

Cut Rate sent out their plumber "Daniel" to my mother-in-laws big fat doozey of a plumbing job and did a great job. I think any other plumber would have probably ran away. He was determined to help her out and make sure she her plumbing was fixed and had a working toilet and drains draining properly. It turned out to be a three hour job and I think the price that was charged was very reasonable. I intend to have them come to my home and clean out our main in the fall, just as a precautionary measure, but also because I was so impressed and want to give them the business. We needed A inspector to look at the sewer lines befor purchasing our home and the one that works with our agent was not available to make it to pueblo. Recently had Cut Rate out to clear the kitchen and laundry room drains. The man checked the septic tank and it was "fine". He then snaked out both the kitchen drain and the laundry room drain. A week later both drains started gurgling. When we checked, the caps for the clean out in the kitchen and outside to the septic tank had been left off. He left his channel lock pliers laying under the sink. I called the office and they said he would be back. NO SHOW. Today the water from the laundry room backed up into the kitchen sink. When I called, the office was not helpful. I have called another local plumbing service. I had relied on them for years and recommended them to others. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I had what turned out to be a huge root blockage in my pipes. The first younger gentalman that was sent scared the heck out of as we believed the line was broken. As a company was has been in business many many years, sent out a seasoned employee for a second opinion, who I believe name is shawn. I hope. If I got the name wrong I apologise, however, he was able to follow the line in my back yard by some "old school" techniques. Needless to say, he got the blockage out, cleaned the lines and saved the day! Maybe the seasoned employees should teach these whipper snappers the old school tricks of the trade. Came out to clean line, did not have equipment needed. Returned next day, charged us. Had to have them back within same month, never gave guarantee or discount. The prices are too high. Called by 10 am morning scheduled in afternoon, call after appointment time by half hour to postpone till next day because they had too many businesses call. 3x 30 days. I called Cut Rate out because the toilets in the women's restroom were flooding over. the response time was exceptional, and the gentleman that came out was very helpful, and didn't seem to waste much time getting us up and running again. We have used this company for years without an issue. But..... there was one person that I really did not appreciate, the bill collector. I received a call some time later explaining that the bill has not been paid yet, so I politely explained that the way our company pays out our purchase orders, and that it has NEVER been an issue in the past. The following conversation included belittling comments containing my character, and my ethics. I hope that this problem is addressed sooner than later, seeing that this town has plenty of options. read more

So their ad says that they have 24 hour emergency service, but when you call, you have to talk to this super arrogant woman who trivializes your problems...probably because they're not hers. So being on a septic system, I had the septic backing up into my house on a Friday. I call them and no, that doesn't constitute an emergency! They only respond to sewer emergencies. No, I'm not on a public utility sewer, but c'mon. If this is the way "We try harder" according to their motto, I wonder what it is they try harder NOT to do. Respond? Get paid? Keep customers? Had a clogged drain in my house yesterday. Called Cut-Rate Sewer & Drain. The so called employee from this so called company came and took a look at our drain, was informed that we would have to wait 48 hours for me to come back because we applied a small amount of Drano. This was unacceptable to us so we called a more reliable and professional company. The technician from this company that we didn't have to wait 48 hours to get the drain fixed. The technician from the other company said the Drano would not have an effect to clear the drain. Thank goodness for the other company!! They did the job!!! I was charged a service charge for Cut-Rate to come out. When I called to the office to see if I could get a refund. The so called owner said that there would be no refund. So I was charged a service charge for a total stranger who knew nothing come into my house. Very disappointed with the service on all ends. Never use cut rate! They may be less expensive but the work will may be shoddy or they may do nothing. But they do want that service charge which in non-refundable!!! read more

I brought my home here in Pueblo three years ago. I have used Cute Rate twice and both times they have been very upfront, reliable and have been able to solve my issue. I don't have large trees in my yard but both my neighbors do and we think the problems with the roots getting in my lines are coming from those trees. The price I have paid to Cut Rate has been a fair price and they gave me a 90 guarantee on their work. We used Cut Rate about 10 years ago when we had a sewer line blockage. I have also used them for my business so when my home toilet was gurgling, I called them. I should have listened to the Google reviews. The lady who answered the phone was rude, but whatevs. Made an appt for the following day for 4:00. I had to leave work early because they charge time and a half any time after 5. I got home at 3:45 and the guy didn't show up until 4:50. It took about an hour. When he presented the invoice, he demanded that I rate his service. I thought that was weird. Well, two weeks later, my toilet was gurgling again. I looked at the invoice and noticed that it stated that the work was guaranteed for zero days. Which means that they don't stand behind their work. A quick call confirmed this. DO NOT USE CUT RATE SEWER AND DRAIN. I had them out on a Saturday evening because my toilet and shower were plugged. The guy came out, was only there for 1/2 hour to maybe 45 minutes. He did get the water to flow, said there was a 90 day guarantee and took my credit card information and said he would have the office mail my receipt when my card was charged. One week later on Sunday, shower and toilet plugged again. Called them back to claim the 90 day guarantee to only be told that they couldn't get anyone out on Sunday, and the 90 day guarantee doesn't apply on Sunday. I had to call Roto-rooter. I called Cut-Rate first thing Monday morning to be told, basically, too bad so sad. They couldn't issue me a refund, and the receipt shows that the guarantee doesn't apply on Sundays or Holidays, even thought I still haven't received the receipt so I didn't know that. So the guarantee is pretty much WORTHLESS. You can't predict when an emergency will happen, and 75 percent of the time it will happen on a weekend or Holiday because you are home more during that time. Call Roto Rooter. Yes it will cost more, but they come out when needed, and the guy stayed and ran the cleaning machine numerous times to make sure he got all of the blockage-mostly roots. Had the Cut Rate guy stayed and ran his machine numerous times instead of just once, I wouldn't have had this problem. read more

The plumbers/specialists working for cut rate seem to know how to do their jobs, however the person scheduling appointments seems to need a bit of help. The last time they came out to my home, we had a 10am appointment scheduled, and the man who came to work on our drains showed up at 8:15am, knocked on our doors and windows and called repeatedly. They were supposed to come out again today at 10am, when I called them at 10:30am, to ask to where the plumber was, they explained they had had two emergency calls. I inquired as to why they didn't call to say they would be late and the answer I received was a rather large, annoyed sigh, and that the receptionist "doesn't always do this", and she kept trying to reschedule for later in the day. I explained that my schedule is tight, which is why we had picked 10am in the first place, and she sighed, exasperated at me, the customer, for expecting services to be rendered at the time promised. I understand that life and emergencies happen. At the very least, I should not have has to chase them to find an answer as to why they were 30 minutes, and why I had to be the one to call them to get an explanation. My time should also have been treated with more respect. Sighing and getting exasperated with your customers when you are in the wrong is ridiculous. This is not how to run a business, especially in a poor economy. If the plumbers/specialists that come out weren't always so polite and knowledgable, I would switch services based on the attitude and errors of the receptionist/booking alone. read more

Cut-Rate did a great job on a very unpleasant project in my yard. They had to replace about 140 feet of sewer line, and while doing that, found that my water line was about to break (it was extremely corroded), so did that at the same time (thank goodness they found it, wouldn't want to go through that process twice!). It wasn't cheap, but I think very reasonable for such a large job. I have used their services for about 14 years (hope I won't need them for awhile with the replacement of the line) and they have always communicated well, been prompt, and prices are fair. They also took care of lots of details related to the excavation. It involved digging up areas with rock and breaking up some of my cement sidewalk, but they replaced all of that, and repaired damage that, not surprisingly, occurred to my sprinkler system during the process. And although there were some delays, repair was actually quite fast and we were only without sewer and water for a little over 24 hours. I would highly recommend them. read more
