Since moving here this past year, I have seen improvement in this store. (Possibly new store manager?) While the store is a little run down (and sometimes smelly) I can see a lot of hard work that has gone into merchandising and keeping up with current trends despite limited resources. The staff is consistently kind and helpful and the store is kept as tidy as possible. During a recent trip, the registers/card readers were down. The sweet girl at the register maintained composure through grumpy customers and having no assistance in an overwhelming time. I come here for hodge podge stuff like binders and organizational things for work, things to hang on the wall in my house, kitchen gadgets, shower curtains, and the occasional clothing item and shoes. Finding something that I like is hit or miss. Hitting up the household clearance section is a MUST!

Now you used to be able to say "You get what you pay for" - meaning the higher cost the higher the quality. Well, in today's world that isn't necessarily the case any more, but I am happy to say my Redwings have lasted over 4 years so far under heave usage, and they are still comfortable. I just bought another pair (not because I needed them, but because they are really nice) and couldn't be happier. If you want good quality work boots, this is where you go for them in Fort Pierce.

About 6 or 8 weeks ago, I purchased a plastic golf ball shag tube for $20. I asked a clerk if the…read moremechanism for keeping the golf balls was sufficiently sturdy, whcih he assured me it was. Last week the mechanism broke off and I went back to the store. I had the tube, showed it to 2 employees. One said he couldn't help me as I had paid cash and there was no record of the purchase. The 2nd asked me what I had thought by using a tube for plastic golf balls for real golf balls. He even brought me a kid's tube, loaded with plastic ball--and which was clearly not the same produce at what I purchased--and told me they would not give me a store credit. Apparently, they don't sell the tube I purchased any more. The treatment I received is unacceptable and over a $20 store credit not only has Golf Galaxy lost me as a regular customer, but I will tell people who ask me about Golf Galaxy to go somewhere else. Short-sighted employees do more harm to a business that shows up on a balance sheet. Bye Bye, Golf Galaxy.

As a store that sells large items like rugs and furniture as well as large art and large potted…read morefake plants, the fact that they don't allow you to take the shopping cart outside is asinine! Also, the fact that they encourage you to leave your items inside or on the curb and then bring your car into the fire lane is even worse. Imagine blocking the fire truck from tending to an emergency while you are loading your items!! I believe wholeheartedly that this is something that needs to change. It's like saying to your customers, "we got you while you're inside spending your money with us but as soon as you have made your purchases, you're on your own!" They have no one helping you put things in the car, they don't care if it's raining, if your items get stolen, if you have a full cart...that's not their business. And that to me is insane! Burlington you really need to care more for your customers. Watching your elderly customers trying to lug huge bags to their cars is not a good look for you as a corporation. Hire a cart person!! Collect your carts! It's that's simple. I also had an experience with a so called manager. There was an item that was a little damaged. It still worked though. I had been looking for one for a long time and so I decided to get it and have my hubby fix it. It was full priced though and it was the last one. I know that in this situation the store will give a small discount so I asked the cashier. She called the manager. He arrived, she told him the issue. He said NOTHING just angrily punched in the 10% discount as if it was being taken from his personal pocket right then and there. I thanked him and he huffed away without uttering one word. Zero customer care at all!!! It's not like I was being rude or mean...I just knew that we'd have to make a repair to the item so cut the customer some slack! There should have already been a clearance sticker on the item to begin with.
