After beating up my body playing competitive basketball, I felt like every part of me needed replacement, and it had started to affect my golf swing. But who was I fooling? I love the game, the social aspect of it, and hitting a ball hard when I want to blow off some steam. Recently, I wandered into the PGA Super Store and decided to try out three different brands of clubs. The associate helping me was incredible, so patient and knowledgeable. It turned out he was a retired air traffic controller, which explained his calm and precise approach. What stood out to me was that I wasn't being pressured to buy anything right away. Unlike other golf stores I've been in, there was no rush, no push to get me to make a quick decision. I later learned that the staff at this store aren't on sales commissions, and that made a huge difference. It's a stark contrast to places where employees are incentivized to move product quickly. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the store where I'll be buying my next set of clubs. The associate even suggested I bring in my current clubs for comparison before making my final decision. The store is large and has everything one would need to buy for the game of golf. Also, the value of having a staff that is helpful, courteous is worth the price. Watch out, I'm about to improve my handicap with a new set and probably become much more competitive against those players scoring 80 and below who have been kicking my butt.

The range is well maintained (the ropes within which you practice are moved each day) and there is an endless supply of balls. The support staff are always helpful. The Lakeview Grille, which is open to the public, has good food and reasonable prices for beer and drinks. Only real downside is that it does not have a locker room. Still, best bang for the buck, by far, in the area. The member for a day is a great way to learn about the place and decide if you want to join.

From the first time I went to buy shoes to the third time I went to try irons, competitive price and everyone there was GREAT to work with! I'm not a great golfer, however, they made it a wonderful experience, and yes I bought irons designed for my age and love them. A few disturbing things that I noticed....there is no ATM on the entire property. That's weird. They have a pro shop and a bar/restaurant and it's a golf club where people bet. The other item is the wait staff in the restaurant. For some reason when they give us a bill they point out that there is a 20% service charge on the tab but it goes to the facility and they do not get any of it. At the bottom of the menu there is a notation about the 20% service charge for the administration for the food and beverage services and then it states "No additional gratuity is expected or required". We found this odd. We felt strong armed into leaving an additional 20%. We are there for a few days coming in and out every day. If we didn't tip extra we felt we would pay the price with bad service or worse.... Not sure why the menu states one thing and we are told something different by the wait staff. Regardless the property is awesome and the golf is AMAZING!

Went with our friends after a nice Sunday brunch. It was sort of organized, in sections, but not exactly. Socks were in multiple places and the shoe section had shoes in the wrong box or just one shoe not a pair. I wanted to find a pair of HOKAs, which I did. I also got a cute pair of flamingo socks for my dad and another pair of SmartWool hiking socks that were marked $22 but rang up at $6. Nice! Definitely ask for the prices at check out. They had discounts on top of discounts, so a few of the SPF shirts that we bought were heavily discounted and a few we left at the store. Still, Going, Going, Gone is a nice place to hunt for a bargain in South Florida.

After hitting a few balls, while video was shot, we reviewed what he saw. I never realized how strange my swing looked to others. With a little coaching he got it to look better. Arlen gave constructive criticism but nothing to make me feel bad. Just some positive input & slight adjustment info. My husband's adjustments were a bit more pronounced, but Arlen made it so simple to teach him what to change. His training tool got my husband's swing where it needed to be seamlessly. At the end of our session Arlen discussed chipping, pitching, & putting. This was really informative. We plan to hit the driving range & practice green & expect we'll be seeing lower scores soon. If we were permanent FLA residents I'm sure we would be building a long-term relationship with Arlen.
