The value seems to be appropriate for the cards and other items they offered. We were able to get our first Pokemon cards in Japanese, that's the first time we've seen them. The store is nice and well organized. I went specifically for Pokemon cards, so I can't speak to any of the other cards. The store doesn't do trades or purchases on cards unless they are worth over $200. Which is fine, they're not obligated to purchase or trade cards they don't want, but just an FYI. The employees are friendly enough, albeit a little overwhelmed, but still attentive. The reason for the two stars, however, is because of the insane markup on current Pokemon cards. The prices are scalper level or even higher. Blooming Waters, the new Pokemon hotness, was 120 when it retails for 45-50. I understand wanting to maintain stock on the more popular items, but they don't offer options like unsealing the box if you purchase at MSRP. Their prices reflect that they are one of the few dedicated card shops in the area. read more

When my grandson, Max, visits me here in Sarasota, FL from Princeton, NJ, all he asks to do is to go to Big League. He absolutely LOVES the employees and everything the store has to offer! One time they gave him a jersey, which he dearly treasures, and today was Jersey Day at his school where everyone was wearing their favorite sports jersey...not Max, he wore his Big League jersey and was SO proud! Big league card store is definitely one of the best places to shop if you want to buy any trading cards. They have a variety of sports cards, Yugioh, Pokémon cards and etc. Don't let the size of the store deceive you they have an a vast amount of product. This was my second time coming to the store and overall I honestly can say their customer service is A+. For a store that has about three employees. They are constantly busy because there's so many customers coming inside and out but they're able to attend to each customer in a good amount of time. I have gone to the store on a random day on Tuesday and on a Saturday and they are consistently busy. One thing I really appreciate is that their prices are exceptional and are very competitive to your big box stores. For example, a Paldea Collection box was around 18 dollars at this store compare to the 20 dollars at target or Walmart. They also have a really cool gimmick at the store. For $20 you get to pull three poker chips. Each poker chip has number that corresponds to a Pokémon card or sports card that is a glass case. The number you pull is the card you keep. They are additional rules that I posted a photo of. They also have a wheel you can spin from to earn additional prizes. Alan is the owner of the store and is very friend and always willing to help out. Overall, I really like the store when it comes to buying trading cards and I can definitely see myself making a 30 minute trip every other weekend just to see what new things they have. read more

Owner is gleefully selling Lorcana cards for ridiculously high prices and when asked said they could because the are the only people with product so why not, and proceeded to tell us to go ahead and buy it. Owner was also seen buying out all product from the nearby Walmart right as they went to stock product. read more

I've come here twice over the past year in search of card information and supplies (since I'm a collector of Pokemon cards). Their prices are considerably higher than those of similar shops, and the staff have never answered any of my questions. The only replies I get are rude, sarcastic ones about how I should "just google it". After this last visit, I'm just going to drive the extra distance to go somewhere else. I would have preferred to have a nice card shop near my house, but unfortunately this is a place to be avoided. Never coming back. read more

I can't say enough good about this shop. The minute you walk in, your greeted warmly. If you visit the store more than once, it's pretty safe they will remember you the second time. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They will answer any and all questions you have, and if they can't, they will try to find an answer for you. The selection is truly top notch. This is one of those places that you never think to go into, but once you do, you never want to leave. We go several times a week because there is so much to see and look at! They are very proactive with the customers and think of fun and creative ways to make you want to keep going back. The prices are a little higher than others, and the place is very very small, but other than that, I love this place. My husband and I will be back again, and again! read more

this place is a rip off. i bought a few thousand dollars on cards at this place an then had to sell them do to me getting cancer. they only gave me $120 for 6000 Pokémon cards and 2000 of the were halo rares. i also called recently to see if they buy marvel cards. they said yes come on in,i come in and they then say we only take factory sealed boxes. which if i had i wouldn't sell to them. this place will bs you around and give you pennies for your cards, if they take them. read more
