This shop has been around for almost two…read moreyears, and is a lovely mom and pop competitor to our corporate/sometimes unwelcoming other game shops in the area. In comparison, Numiru is always welcoming, quick, and friendly. The front half is sealed cards, board games, collectibles, and some books. Back half is singles, tables for games, and some drinks. While they don't have every product always, the selection they do have is at market price and varied. As we all know, Pokémon is the hot thing to scalp, and I always know that Numiru will have my back and at least a pack to buy in these trying times. They're only open Thursday-Sunday, but that's fine with me. For the value, friendliness, and lack of that certain something that makes me scared to ask questions in other shops, I'll wait for Numiru.

They have a wide range of trading cards, my kids were excited by the numerous versions of Pokémon. The prices are also reasonable. It seems like a small shop, but they have an excellent selection of board games, collectibles (funko, Star Wars, etc) books and snacks/drinks. The back of the store is setup for to play games and various tournaments. I was impressed with how clean the store was as well. I got to speak with the owners a bit and would love to hear more of their story and vision behind the store. We will be back and I encourage you to go check out and support a new local business!

They pointed in the right direction of all the bulk. :) I was able to find lots of cute cards. Even their customers were so friendly and helpful. The bulk was super organized and there was also a large variety. Since we had a long drive back I stopped to used the bathroom. OMG the pokemon wallpaper was soooo cool! The variety however is incredible. Plenty things i don't see in other card stores and their bulk and binder collection is really good too! PS: my friend taught me that you can choose any bulk you want and it's on a "pay what you want" system. So bring some loose cash if you're interested. What really turns me off about it is that the location isn't the easiest to get to, and on weekends? Forget about it. So many people in such a cramped space it gets nearly impossible to see the products or talk to a worker. Not a bad store, just not my first choice because of indirect factors.

Great deals can be found and fair pricing for those hard to find items. We were approached by multiple employees and asked if we needed help. We were on a mission to find Inside Out characters for my 8 year old son and they not only found the spot they were in but also hunted around to find the items he asked for. They gave us tips to find things in other areas of the store as people tend to hide things they want and they let us know where to look for those gems! This is the first and usually last place I have to go to find what I am looking for as they have what I need. There are so many props and fun things to look at as you wander the huge selection. They appointed me to the back of the store and told me where they would be. I wandered them back and took a look at their selection. I immediately found a set that would fit the bill for this occasion. I looked through a bunch of the store before having someone get them from the cabinet for me. I felt that I did really good because I only bought one comic book. I love these stores because everyone is friendly that works in them and I can always find way too many things that I want to buy. If you have young children that are struggling to start reading, you should consider starting them on comic books and getting them to actually read the words in them because it has been proven that children who start with comic books tend to learn to read younger, and then read throughout their lives . Obviously, you should only buy things that you feel are safe for your children, and there is always something to fit that bill.

Ever since the place changed owners, I can tell that they've had them focusing on making a more pleasant customer service experience. The weekend staff is so friendly and full of energy (I'm talking about YOU, Daniel), the shelves are always full and neat (except for the game guides. Most are well-used, so they unfortunately look like a frayed mess), and their selection is so wide, they even have some room for collectible goodies. The prices are a little rough, but they do try their best to price below GameStop for newer titles. I thought the retro games were pretty costly, but honestly, it's usually close to the cost as if I were to get them on eBay and include shipping. Can't really fault them for that if they're trying to make a profit. If there's anything close to negative I have to say, it's probably that the place is getting a little too popular again? Because there are so many people coming in, having only two people running front desk at a time leaves the risk of customers waiting a long time for a simple transaction, since they also handle repairs and the like. Maybe have someone who doesn't run a register that goes around answering questions? It is located in the Waterford Towers shopping plaza and is by South Beach Tanning Company. Honestly, I have never even noticed this place. If you are a gamer yourself we're looking for gifts for gamers, here is the place to head towards. I would definitely recommend here.
