"Now I will help whoever was next!" If I were management there witnessing this, I would have written her up for being rude and inattentive and making us feel like we were cutting in line. Again, I was standing there for minutes even before the other 3 people started their journey through the ridiculous maze. Underline "inattentive and rude," I would never hire this person. She should not be a cashier or assisting anyone with her demeanor.

Today they had better prices for adult shoes than for kids! We found the least expensive kids shoes that worked for my kids and still it was $90 for 3 pairs. Many of them were $50 per pair or more! For KIDS SHOES! Totally ridiculous. And it turned out that the prices on the boxes weren't right on all three of the shoes we bought. They were a bit cheaper, but we didn't know till the register. And to top it all off, the bathrooms were so gross they were unusable. Like BAD! My 5 year old looked at the toilet and started crying, and there WERE NO TOILET SEAT COVERS! I handed her off to my wife to try the other bathroom and she came back out immediately too, and said there was no way she or our daughter could use that bathroom. She said the toilet was so black and red inside that it couldn't have been scrubbed for a few years. I told both the people that worked there about the bathroom and they apologized but seemed way too busy to do anything about it. Just NASTY. I'll give them two stars instead of 1 because they do have a cool kids area with a TV that helps entertain the kids. Seriously though, reasonably priced kids shoes and bathrooms that don't make you throw up are required for families to visit and feel safe and comfortable.

The store is constantly understaffed. No employees to stock the shelves, not enough cashiers. The managers are not doing anything because they're outside smoking or they're hiding in the office. A lot of broken or damaged inventory on the shelves that should never have made it out of the backroom. A lot of items missing price tags, so you will have to have the one cashier ask for someone in the store to find the price when you are checking out, after waiting in line for ten minutes. Then the keyholder on a power trip will come along and make their one associate left miserable by being hostile and condescending in front of everyone before she goes off to cackle around the store like an old witch. This person opens the store every day and acts like it's an offense that anyone else exists in her world. Get rid of her and you'll have more employees, more productivity, and more business. Their furniture keeps getting put on the sales floor damaged, assembled incorrectly, and missing the prices. If you are looking for something they probably have, but is not on the shelf, they won't be able to find it because it either buried in the totes or cardboard bins around the store (10 to 15 cardboard bins, several stacks of totes), or they'll say it's still in the truck and they haven't gotten to it yet because the backroom is backed up, they are too slow and disorganized, and they haven't even finished the previous truck yet Clothes are especially not getting out on time for the season. I have just been told their he hanging person does not get through them fast enough. There may be nice prices on some higher ticket brands, but the selection or sizing is not desirable. Unless the good stuff is "still on the truck until they get to it?" Every day items with better prices are usually poor quality brands that won't last Bad place to shop for men's clothing. Tiny selection, mostly teen sizes. No men's shoes. Toy selection is junk the dollar store wouldn't sell. Guy from the backroom acted like I was placing him under interrogation when I just asked a simple question about something and was told he would know. Turned out he didn't know anything. If something is still in the truck, just shop elsewhere. Guy responsible for backroom had no idea how much is left or how much he gets through, and it looked like an even bigger mess back there. Maybe they can't find people that want to listen to the rap music coming out of his phone. Other than that it's a nice store. And it'll be nicer if they get management that don't perform so poorly and let the store look like this.

My husband and I went to the Helena Basecamp today to look at some Lems shoes. Upon arriving in the…read morefootwear department, we were immediately greeted by Victoria. It is clear that Victoria truly loves helping people find footwear that matches their goals. I discussed what I was looking for, and Victoria took that information and turned it into a shoe-finding spree! She brought out at least four pairs for me to try. She even brought out some shoes that she thought I might like based on what we talked about. My husband started talking to her, and wouldn't you know it, Victoria brought out some shoes for him, too. She never made us feel rushed or like she was trying to get us out the door. She even helped several other people while we were trying on our shoes, and all of them left with smiles on their faces. The Basecamp is so lucky to have Victoria as a stellar employee. We, as consumers, are even luckier to benefit from her extensive knowledge about footwear. We will definitely return to the Helena Basecamp for any future footwear needs. The world needs more Victorias!
