DG golf shoes, in my size, (this store does not sell Men's shoes so this was a one off. These golf shoes were $250 at the PGA store. I bought them for $43! I love the imported foods like olive oil and pastas from Italy. The snack selections rivals any store's snack inventory. They have pots amd pans... and most are not Teflon. There, gym ware, all kinds of stuff...If you've not been it's worth a look. It's clean, the bathroom (men's anyway) is clean, Some of the people that works there are good at what they do... We were five minutes early and had no problem waiting but the door was open. The lady working today (should have got her name) was so very rude! Not the same stuff you see at all the big name furniture stores. As soon as I walked in, I saw the greatest advertisement for a furniture store.... an older gentleman, in a recliner, fast asleep. I knew this was my place. I wanted everything! The lady inside was so friendly and helpful. She gave me all kinds of info on things around town and places to take my dog for grooming and such. I bought a fantastic couch. Sooo comfortable. They were able to deliver it the next day. The delivery guy was punctual (actually, he was 6 minutes early). Also super friendly. He got my couch into my place and helped me arrange it and it's few pieces. Next time I get to go home, I'll be stopping by for a couple unique looking barstools and some other items. Oh! The most important part! When you go into the store, ask for "Peaches"! She will make your day so much more awesome!

Wanted to love Downeast, but feel really let down. We loved the employees who helped us with the…read morepurchase, which was two couches and two accent chairs. We spent about $5,000-$6,000 there. But about 90 days later, one of the couches burst a hole out of the bottom and all the stuffing is shooting out. We don't have pets, and our kids aren't allowed to play on these couches. They've seen nothing but normal use. The fabric just failed and unfortunately Downeast was not willing to help after only having them for about 3 months. I didn't even request a refund or return. I just asked that they assist in getting it professionally repaired. They were very nice in how they communicated, but made it clear they would not offer anything to help. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase furniture from here. The styles are great, and the employees are nice, but I don't feel you can trust the quality or the company to stand behind their products.

As usual I didn't purchase anything large like furniture (the majority of their offerings), but I always have fun checking out their other offerings, especially kitchen oriented ones. I purchased a really nice cast iron grill pan, some French cake molds, a cold-smoking contraption, Microplane grater, and a super comfy pillow. The fun thing about Downeast, at least as far as these sorts of items go, is that you never really know what you'll find. They have a very weird mix of kitchen accessories, but many of them are items you might not find anywhere else, except maybe a specialty store, and even then... They do have lovely furniture, and I think the prices are reasonable, and in line with any of your other furniture retailers, while managing to be more visually appealing, and generally of high quality (although it is an Outlet, so check that there isn't any damage before making a purchase). They also have a good selection of linens, blankets, etc. Lastly, they carry clothing and accessories, but I've never really checked that out, so can't really speak to the quality or price. The employees are always very friendly and pleasant. They usually have an extra 30% off clearance items, although it never seems to be advertised. I think they also always offer some sort of percentage off monogrammed items. It's not the greatest store, but it's worth checking out every once in a while.
