This rating is for the manager, Tami. To hear she's worked here for a while but has the poorest customer service I've seen at any TJMaxx is super disappointing on TJMaxx's part. I've encountered several employees in the last few days here at the Brickyard location and all have been helpful, kind and professional. For your manager Tami, none of these apply. I was told by one employee when I asked a question about a crack in a furniture item to not approach her because she's cranky. I appreciated her help and moved on. Not even 10 minutes went by when I witnessed her telling off a customer about her furniture question the other customer I could tell was upset for the way she was just treated and I went over to support her with the knowledge that what she was told by a different manager a few days ago I was also told to help legitimately validate her that sadly , cranky Tami could not. I thought I lucked out by not encountering her but I got to have my own Tami experience at checkout... I asked for a discount on a chipped picture frame. Stephanie and Debra L. were super sweet but when Tami showed up she told them the $2.00 off was too much and that she'd only do 1.00 and I said 10% is 1.50 so could we just keep the 2 and she said "You know what, I could just put a marker on that and fix it and sell it as new. So no discount!" She then took the frame and walked away! Stephanie and Debi apologized and tried to deescalate the situation that just occurred but I was just flabbergasted that THIS person is your manager! To have employees that already know how to prepare customers for her and who are also afraid of this manager and then they themselves have to show better customer service than your manager Tami is so messed up! To whoever owns this store- do better! Your manager Curtis I have heard wonderful things about- they told me to come back when he is working. He may be the manager I spoke with on Sunday that was AWESOME... Tami needs some MAJOR training!! Employees who were awesome today that I encountered... Debi L. Love , Love, Love Home Goods. Especially this location. They always have new, quirky, fun, stylish good quality merchandise. If you are decorating your home, especially for accent pieces, this is the place to come. So many styles, and colors to choose from. They also have world foods/brands that you don't normally find at a regular grocery store. I've found some interesting food items over the years. I especially like that they don't carry the same brands year round, so you better get it when you see it. You'll miss out if not. They sell pet supplies, bedding, a small kids section, silk plants, candles, cookware, dishes, pictures, rugs, frames, etc... anything you need to make your house feel comfortable and stylish. read more

It's fine, and I have no complaints, I just don't really frequent spots like this too often. Not that I have anything against them; I just find myself gravitating more and more to things that have some meaning or history when it comes to decorating; vintage and thrift stores, or things I find on vacation tend to be more my style. But sometimes, like when you're looking for holiday ornaments, this is a really good spot to check out. I do like the inspiration that comes from walking around, and if you're looking for knick-knacks to fill shelves, or even the shelves themselves, you have an incredible variety. The holiday decor I was seeking was plentiful, but due to the nature of things like this, was hugely disorganized and scattered all over. That's just how it works, unfortunately. We grabbed what we wanted and went to check out, but the line was legitimately 40 people deep so we left the cart, went out for more errands, and came back to find the the cart still ready and the line was a manageable 10-15 people deep. I heard the cashier saying that on Black Friday the line went to the back of the store. Shop in off hours, hit the seasonal stuff on day one, or beware the wrath of crowds. It's just how discount-y spots like this work sometimes, and while it's not my favorite, it does have its use. read more

This store has the best stuff compared to the others in Utah. Bathrooms definitely need some repairs. Line is always long, but staff is pretty nice! They need more cashiers but I love this store! read more

You wait in line for 15 minutes to see a cashier. The speaker says, "Cashier # is open." You go to that number cashier, but guess what, that cashier is not open. So you're wandering around looking for a cashier. When a cashier does open, the other customers go in ahead of you, and you're lost in limbo forever. read more

This location is bigger than the one I usually frequent (off State, by Fashion Place). You can walk between Home Goods and TJ Maxx, then the check-out is shared by both stores, so that's kind of cool and convenient. It's a gigantic, high-ceilinged space, and feels a bit like a warehouse. Somehow, though, I always find better products at my usual store. It could be one of those situations where I'm just familiar with that location, and I know where the things I am interested in are, but as this one is so huge it is surprising that it would feel that way. There seem to be less clearance items, which is fine, I'm just a bargain shopper. The food selection also feels smaller. It might sound odd, but Home Goods can be a fantastic source of olive oil, vinegar, salt, nuts, pasta, and many other pantry staples; however this location seems to have less of those basic items, while carrying a TON of candy/chocolate/snacky foods. The pet supplies also feel reduced. On the positive side, there are many, many area rugs, and I always find a good selection of Nordicware products, particularly cute molds, as well as Le Creuset seconds. Check out tends to take ten minutes or so most of the time. Employees seem a bit less friendly, but never rude or anything. At a business like Home Goods it's difficult to compare selection as it can vary week to week at the same store. This is still a fine spot, and certainly worth checking out. It is not my go-to location in the valley, but let's just be glad we have more than one option! read more

I generally am a little disappointed that this store is often picked over at times, however they do have a lot of things to choose from. It can be difficult to navigate because the store is so filled with stuff even in the isles . I was in this same store and a man sweeping asked me if I needed any help , he kindly showed me to the items I was looking for. When I did get to checkout the line went quickly . Here is my Big disappointment with this store HOMEGOODS/ TJMAXX. When I checked out with my single item $60.00 I was asked if I had a TJMAXX credit card . I responded kindly with No and I am not currently interested in getting one today but thank you. This should be the end of it. But NO , it continued " but if you applied for one it can save you X % today and on other future purchases and blah blah blah. I feel like I was nice and CLEAR, that I'm not interested. I don't need or want to hear the shpeal about it. I'm good , not interested . I realize that it's not the employee them self but more the way that they are trained to never take the first NO. It does make it so that I do not want to shop at the stores in the future. I feel often more times than not when I go to TJ Maxx and HomeGoods that I am bullied into hearing the entire credit card recitation. Not sure I'll be frequenting the store as often as I would typically after this. Stores need to be better about their customers wishes. They are clearly trained to bully you into it. We love shopping! We love saving money! We love window shopping and wandering stores and this is one of our go to wander stores. We have found many of items to decorate our home with including some great lamps and wonderful books ends. I do wish they wouldn't sell the book ends as One item pieces because they should be sold as a set, they do say Left or Right right on them and most places sell them as a pair, but what can you do! I have found many pet supplies for lower prices than pet stores and I have found many Christmas gifts for friends that I know they still enjoy to this day! I love their gift sets, such great prices and a wonderful store, always different! read more

I love HomeGoods for candles and other small knickknacks for the home. Picked out a few coffee mugs for less than $4 each. Granted the quality is not great as I noticed a chip one one already but it's $4, less than a latte at Starbucks!! Plus you get to pick out cups for each holiday. They also have some snack selections that look pretty tasty that I haven't seen anywhere else. read more

I so love Homegoods! My mother is an interior designer, so I've always loved thinking about and actually designing the interiors of places, and Homegoods in a treasure trove of good, unique pieces for doing just that! I especially love their lamps, bedding and seasonal selections at this particular location. They also typically have a good selection of kitchen gadgets, healthy snack options, and different ethnic food and meal starter options. It can definitely get disorganized fast here, which can be frustrating for some to shop in, but if you know that going into things, it's not a bad experience at all! read more

Well, the prices here are great ! I took some stuff for home - plates, chairs and so. I have spend about 400 dollars and thing this was a good deal. I like this place because you I can find mix of different home goods and decorations. Some of them are more kitsch but you can find also some designers looking products. I specially mean kitchen plates that are with really beautiful hand made painting. This shop is popular with the frequent discounts and promotions they are touching frequently. Some of the Christmas gifts are on 50% lower prices compared to other shops. read more
