Can't believe I've not written a review of the location. I've been shopping here for 3 years. I occasionally will find something I love at a significant discount. DG golf shoes, in my size, (this store does not sell Men's shoes so this was a one off. These golf shoes were $250 at the PGA store. I bought them for $43! I love the imported foods like olive oil and pastas from Italy. The snack selections rivals any store's snack inventory. They have pots amd pans... and most are not Teflon. There, gym ware, all kinds of stuff...If you've not been it's worth a look. It's clean, the bathroom (men's anyway) is clean, Some of the people that works there are good at what they do... I've gotten a lot of great buys there and will continue to shop here. read more

Ridiculous return Run around. I purchased items at a "combo" store which apparently means because the receipt says TJmaxx, a Home Goods can't take it back AND because the tag says Home Goods a TJMaxx can't take it back. So after hauling a 20 lbs planter into 2 different stores...I have to take it to a "combo" store. Not to mention, there's a pandemic going on. And I am hauling stuff from one store to another to another.This store used to be my fave, I had their credit card and shopped way too frequently here. This is the 2nd time I've been disgusted by the customer service-last time I cut up the credit card. This time I'm just not going back. T.J. Maxx - Receipt & tag - Department Stores Near Me - Draper, Utah

Holy terrible customer service! Just started working in an office around here and was looking for a fun place to go on my lunch break to pick up some new makeup/do some shopping. First time visiting this store and it will certainly be my last. I've never actually been to a store where I've felt like a criminal before. Until I came here. I was watched (literally, older female employee stood around the corner from me no matter where I went in the beauty department and just watched me. No smile. Just watched.) I tried to make a comment about a bronzer I was interested in and she said 'I see.' and continued to watch me. There were other people around, but she didn't go off to follow them. I work in a nice office, which shouldn't matter at all, but I was dressed nicely and was clearly a working professional. I ended up putting back about $60+ worth of product because I'm not going to spend my money somewhere that has an employee follow me from aisle to aisle to watch me. I will have to find somewhere else to kill time on my lunch break because this was annoying and embarrassing and I will not be back. 1 star for having products like Mac and Anastasia. read more

If I were to define the phrase "Middle of the Road" I think I would use TJ Maxx somewhere in that description. I can safely say that of the three discount stores I have frequented it sits solidly between Ross and Gordmans both on quality of items, organization and friendliness/speed of service. And when I say that, it really is on all three fronts! Quality of Items - Completely adequate, what you expect from a discount store! Organization - On this it just burst force with adequatelance (yes that's a word!), mainly because they seem to have employees who will actually pick things up and keep the store organized, unlike one of the others I've mentioned! Friendliness/Speed of Service - This is an area it just swims around in its adequacidity (yes, it's a word, though I admit you won't find it on Dictionary.com). Friendly staff and organized/speedy checkout - and this right before the holidays! Can't complain much there. Overall I'm sure that gives the idea. Read my reviews on other similar stores and it will fill in any blanks! :) I'm sure I'll be back doing some bargain hunting at some point. read more

I really don't like TJ Maxx much, but I happened to visit one location last weekend, and they had some really great clearance. A couple hours later I found myself near this store, and thought I might as well check it out too. It's a newer store, and that's nice because I feel like they start to feel kind of grimy pretty quickly. Sadly, their selection was not as great, and they seemed to have less of the higher end brands. Employees were very friendly, though, and while it was busy, the line moved swiftly. All in all it's fine, but nothing great. read more

This is my favorite T. J. Maxx. Good location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, and a relatively organized store. Of course, you never know what you'll find at TJM. I rarely come here with a shopping list, or a goal in mind. It's a little like Pin the Tail on the Donkey - you come in blind, with no specific direction, and you're bound to find something great. As much as I fancy an afternoon of browsing through their clothes, shoes, handbags, accessories, and personal care items, by far my favorite aisles in this store are the kitchen accessories and packaged foodstuffs. Many items among these shelves are unbelieveable bargains. I've picked up stone and cast iron cookware, flatware, glassware, dishes, and some other unusual cooking tools here for next to nothing prices (set of five WWF cheese spreaders, anyone?). Caveat emptor rules apply for the edibles - but occasionally I'll find something that makes me laugh, or piques my curiosity, and I'll have to buy it. Even if it turns out to be a bust, I'm typically only out three or four bucks. Like the bottle of fennel jam, or the canned haggis directly from Scotland. I love their consistent stock of relishes, salsas, olive oils, and vinegars. Unless the packaging has been tampered with, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm picking up a few of these babies. A cook who loves a bargain's dream. I also love the candles and home fragrance area. They've decreased stock in this area a lot lately, but I can still usually find a lovely large jar candle or oil diffuser set in a simple scent for a very tiny investment. They carry an impressively large selection of somewhat useless home decor, too. In the event you need an XL framed poster of Atlantic City, a crystal frowning buddha head (?), or a huge ceramic purple peacock to display on your mantle, this is your Eden. I can burn several hours at a time in this store. The check out process is quick (unless it's near a gift-giving holiday), and my bill usually comes in under $25. I felt like this location didn't have as much to offer as the Orem location does. I looked in the misses section and the baby girl section of the store and left with nothing. It was a holiday Monday and I noticed the lines were steady and there was a good amount of shoppers (like I would expect on a Saturday evening) in the store. I was able to get a fitting room right away and it was clean and free from previous users' "go backs." In general TJ Maxx is very hit or miss with their revolving door of inventory, but I felt this location had less inventory to offer overall. I can't speak for the home goods or any other section, but I don't think I'd return. I'd prefer to visit the Orem location instead. read more

I really like businesses that strive to grow and improve. After visiting TJ Maxx recently I felt that they are improving the closeout shopping experience. 3 days before Christmas there were a ton of people shopping and they had plenty of help to keep shelves well stocked in addition to keeping the store clean and organized. It was easy to find items because each section of the store was well marked. Prices seemed to be very reasonable with discounts that you would expect at a discount store. Checkout was very smooth there were quite a few registers to accommodate the holiday crowds. read more

I like to shop at Tjmaxx in general, and occasionally return things that I do not want. I usually do not count how many items that I returned. Today, It just happened that I caught them "cheating" me. I almost lost more than $42, since the return receipt did not show the correct number of items that I returned (2 items less). So be careful! Always count how many items that you return, and do not let them disperse (yes, there is a person that hurries to disperse the items I returned when I was still asking the cashier to check them...) your items before you look at the return receipt to confirm. read more
