When checking out I asked about getting $60 cash back. She said the most they could do was $50 and to use the ATM if I needed more. The ATM was broken. She refused to let me get cash back without a purchase. I just pointed to the $70 in purchases i had just made and she said I needed to do two more transactions to get the money I wanted. Then when I went to do that, I was told they only had $5 in the drawer available for cash back. When I asked her what we could do to resolve the issue, she said this was my problem, not their's. I replied sarcastically "Gee, thanks for the tremendous help and outstanding customer service" as I walked out. Before the door closed I distinctly heard her say "Fuck off asshole", or something to that effect. Needless to say, my opinion of this location has been drastically re-evaluated.

I bought a pair of sunglasses a day ago and this morning they dropped from the kitchen counter to the floor and the fram split near the nose piece and the lense fell out. I took the sunglasses to the store and asked for help. After telling her they broke after falling she said "Well they weren't broke when you bought them - there is nothing I can do." Buy another pair. Does that mean that Dollar General does not stand behind the things they sell? Sarcastically I thanked her for her excellent customer service. Even the staff I could tell do not care at all about the environment or the store itself. There were piles of clothes on both sides of a few aisles, values not being correct either since some stuff was more expensive than it should be. And once again, the environment just didn't feel safe the store was located in. The parking lot was like pitch black, the store being messy and not organized, it needs to be improved one day. Hopefully one day this store can get the proper management to fix it up and give it a better atmosphere.

It was $35 but one of the owners took an extra $5 off. Sold. While I paid for the wrap, the owner and cashier struck up conversation with my daughter and I. They were very friendly but then again, my daughter has a way of charming the pants off of people. Of all the things I purchased on my trip, this purchase at Lola was the one I am most excited about. Some items were like 5 dollars, some were 7, and others were over 10 or even 20. The other criticism I had with this store is the area at night can feel kind of sketchy since it is pretty dark near the store. And it just had an uncomfortable atmosphere on the outside. Overall it's a decent store but I will stick to Dollar Tree. More specifically the Dollar Tree in Prescott by the Best Buy and Red Robin.

My mom recommended I visit here knowing it may be up my alley and she was not wrong! You can tell each item in the store was selected with love by the owner and it's a wonderful mix of unique antiques with modern day items for parties (like candles, cards, party decor, etc). This new larger location (I was told opened today) is in the historic first Bank of Arizona building. You can still see an original vault inside, it's beautiful + worth a visit!
