Even though it was busy, Ethan from the shoe department (this was on 7/12/25) was phenomenal. He was rushing around and obviously had a lot of people to help, however he made sure to check in with everyone, was very efficient, and was really able to help me decide on a properly fitting pair of shoes. Belinda and Mathew are unprofessional every time I have been there in the past month. Belinda almost slapped my phone in my face over a picture. I report this to Mathew and he was so rude and I can't believe he's an assistant manager and he tried to say it was against the law to film inside which it is not in the state of Arizona(informed by a cop). And even if it where NOBODY CAN ATTACK YOU OR LAY HANDS ON YOU OVER IT! Also there was a 10 year old boy when my underage daughters and myself went to use the restroom yet security and employees completely missed that yet they were preventing me from shopping because it was 10 mins to closing. Wich is what Belinda ( the rude bithcy employee) try to say was why she kept following us. What a great store. So glad there is a Dillard's here! Hope it is here to stay. Much better than the Macy's I go to in California. Great selections in every department and I've always gotten excellent customer service in any department I shop. I used to shop Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com but find much better selections here locally in Prescott at Dillard's. In store shopping is suffering in many locations, but Dillard's here in Prescott is a great example of the benefits where you can try on things and get great advice about what is trending and what looks good on you. read more

Dillard's is most upscale department store in the Prescott area. The store doesn't show the "we're justa hangin' on for dear life a hopin' business to pick back up ag'in" sign that other stores of this type are showing in our nice, but nearly empty mall. The store is well kept, you can still get sales people to actually help you like they used to in the heyday of malls and department stores in decades past. That's pretty nice. I'm not a consumer of typical fare, but I do look for sales, because discounts can be pretty good and merchandise is always quality. There is one very specific reason I shop here that keeps me hoping that Dillard's never closes in Prescott. That is the men's parfumerie counter. If you wear expensive cologne this is the only place to shop. The selection is phenomenal. More importantly, they offer old school, personal service that you rarely find these days. This is the place where a truly knowledgeable staff can will guide you through descriptions of scents and how long they last, explain the difference between "parfum" and "eau de toilette", and take you through as many smell tests as you want, replete with coffee bean sniffer to clear your olfactory between fragrances. Not sure how to start? Just say something like " I want something I can wear to work that isn't to strong?" or "I want something for a special evening" or "I want to feel like a lumberjack" or something like that, and the experts will start your odiferous journey right. My recent visit was actually fun! I was looking for a replacement to one of my faves that was sadly discontinued. The store was slow and I was assisted by two staff, which was kinda fun. I compared some old favorites, some famous standards, with some new comers and lesser known sounds. Probably 15 in all. As I identified what I liked, more suggestions were made and I narrowed it down to 4, for 2 different uses. They we looked at specials and promos which is common with designer scents. I ended up with 3 bottles of 2 top fragrances that I know I love, with about $100 in discounts and a free designer sport bag to boot. My end price was lower than Amazon. Shout out to Daneen for the excellent assistance and personalized service - something Amazon can never replace. read more

Wish I had read Julie K.'s review before going to that department. Stunning something simply off here with Belinda Lloyd. How can a person be a Customer Service Assistant Manager for so long and be so rude, arrogant, and actually treat people with extreme distain. She hasn't changed in over a year. Corp office needs to be aware. Will see if regional management follows up. Perhaps why few were shopping here? A store that is known for supreme customer services has managers acting anything but? Dillard's was my go to store, until Dec. of 2021, then all sorts of issued in areas in state: pick up merchandise didn't arrive, advised finally shipped directly to home. Got two out of four items. Then online, items were to arrive, came over a month later. Finally received in mail literally a week after returned from the event. Took forever to get the credit to MC credit card. Then Dillard's tried to re-bill months later, said "had picked up the items." No proof, just a receipt printed from a register sent to the credit card company. No signature! Never seen anything like it. No wonder their revenues are up. Don't return, don't get money or credit for something never used or had. Thought I would give the Prescott store a try. One more try. Wow, what a mistake. Sales rep said one thing, receipt said another, and Belinda was extremely deceptive, rude, justified calling a customer a liar as I stood there... just very bad at her job. Lost my business: in the valley, online, and now at this store. I will shop only Nordstroms from now on. read more

I give this Dillard's 4 stars only due to the fact that their customer service/gift wrap desk saved by butt. I ran in here the other day trying to get a wedding gift wrapped (right before the wedding). It was mostly my fault for waiting last minute, but I didn't want to wrap the gift in Charlotte and be stopped by the TSA to unwrap it. Anyways, Sharon was very obliging and wrapped my gift (a painting) very nicely and even added a nice personal touch (a flower with a bow). She was very busy, but she managed to get me out the door and on my way to the wedding [made it just in time]. read more

I wondered why when I go through Dillards on my way to another store, they are not very busy. Besides the high prices.... that is. Well today I had to return two shirts my son bought there before Christmas. Silly boy used his debit card. Who would of thought??? Anyhoo, they would not refund this money to his debit card because he was not with me and they had to have the debit card. Oh that's right, he lives in California. No close Dillards to where he lives so no use getting a gift card. Yes, he could shop online and use it but he chose not to. He asked to have the money credited back to his debit card. Only thing I could do was get him a gift card. So home I went with shirts in the bag. Called Dillards Customer Service, told the same thing. I called Dillards Corporate Office in Arkansas and got transferred to the hole in the sky. Tried calling back and, the Operator was on hold and my call would be answered in less than a minute. And I was told 8 times by the prerecorded voice that I had been on hold less than 1 minute so far. This was after being on hold over 8 minutes. Called Customer Service again and found out that you can return them to the corporate office and have the money refunded to your debit card. And it only cost him $9.95 to return the shirts. I think this is a horrible way to do business. Also the first time I have encountered such a ridiculous return policy. Nordstrom's, I am never leaving you! read more

If you want help in this store and you can find no one else...hunt him down in the Mens Furnishings department. He will get done whatever you need in this store. We stopped in while visiting Prescott. While checking out the shoe sale I was assisted by a young lady (reminded me a little of Lady Gaga) who was so informative about the particular shoe brand. I guess the Vionic shoe should come with a little booklet and this one didn't have it enclosed. She knew every detail about the shoe. Very poor customer service on the part of the supervisor in the bedding department yesterday, 1/31/2020. With the help of a very nice salesperson, I selected some king sheets. My specific need was that they have deep pockets, and the salesperson helped me find those. They were mixed in with all of the other sheets on the shelves, and the sign on the top of the display advertised king sheets for $129.00. I noticed that the tag on the sheets I had selected said $149, and the salesperson said she would honor the price on the sign, since the sign was misleading. When she informed the supervisor of this, the supervisor refused to honor the price on the sign, and repeatedly told me THESE sheets were NOT $129, and would be the original $149 because, and she became very strident and repeated this three times, THEY HAVE DEEP POCKETS. She was very rude. I told them both I would simply go to Penney's. And I did. There were literally NO other customers in the bedding department, and they lost my sale. read more

The only reason this store gets two stars and not one, is most of the staff is friendly helpful and professional, including Derrick in the shoe department and the store Manager. However one of their employees in the clothing department, was very sarcastic, dismissive and impolite to his customers. Yesterday I spent $1,100.00 plus on shoes, sport coats, a belt and a shirt. I paid cash. I left very happy and excited about my new clothes. I came back the next day to purchase another pair of shoes I forgot I wanted, and the nice young shoe salesman Derrick, that assisted me was not there. The associate that assisted me with my sport coats however was there, although I was not impressed at all with his demeanor the night before as he would rudely walk away in the middle of our conversation on several occasions. I said hello to him and said I had forgotten to look at something the night before. He gave me a very rude and sarcastic answer so I figured he was having a hard day somehow, but I was in no mood to put up with someone's juvenile or arrogant behavior, so I returned my previous night's entire purchase in full, and drove directly to the Men's Warehouse in PV and bought my clothes and shoes there. The salesman there was very nice, helpful and polite. I feel bad for Derrick, but I figure the clothing salesman can explain to Derrick why he felt the need to insult a good customer. I won't deal with this employees again, but I will more than likely go back to Derrick for my next pair of shoes. No bad feelings towards Dillard's, but they need ongoing customer service training. read more

Dillard's is one of the finest stores in America, along the lines of Macys and what many from the Midwest know as Carson Pirie Scott. Sadly the world of education isn't teaching the value of customers and how businesses need them. I'm 60 and remember all that well and have even applied to work at the Prescott Dillard's because they've got some great people and I figure an old timer like me showing the same thing helps those younger people who are our future know the better of treating people is the best a business has or can offer. Goal of helping people is the point and often that means broadening the range of who you speak to and what you do. The Prescott Dillard's has proven a great store for me and my parents for the last 16 years and offers that personal touch that online sales and their queue bots can't. I hope to join the Prescott Dillard's ranks and help their brand always be known for their customer service and commitment to every customer to treat them right. Those folks here or anywhere saying they had bad service I honestly encourage them to let the management of the store know and make sure you let corporate know too. The company and brand is well known for their customer service and that's how you get it fixed. Nothing is fixed by negative reviews on sites like Yelp. read more

If you want to be ignored go shop at Dillards in Prescott, AZ. We just moved here and this was my first time to visit this store. I have always shopped Dillards because of the personal customer service I have received. Today I was shopping for a couple of tops and pants for work. Two older ladies that worked there were having a personal conversation as I stood in front of them. Finally I interrupted them and asked for a fitting room. Once I was given a room I was never asked again if I needed help. I did spend a couple hundred dollars but that will be the last time I spend money at this store. I have been shopping here since 2002 when they opened and it is my favorite place for clothes, shoes, and accessories. I was very pleased with the service I received at Dillards recently. I believe the gentleman's name that helped me was Tim. He worked very hard to find me exactly what I needed. No big deal just doing his job as he stated to me. It seems like nobody will ever stop and take the time to recognize the thousands of times someone does a good job but are so quick to publicly criticize the one time someone makes a mistake.
