I bought 3 tops that were hanging on the clearance rack ironed & looked nice from this store. Then when I got home to Phoenix I realized that they all have armpits stains on them. I was absolutely disgusted! Very disappointed in the store after this. As this is one of my favorite stores to visit when I go to Pres . Can't believe they would even put them out on The floor. Beware - even though Fancy That has been one of my favorite stores since they were at Tatum and Shea - a long time in other words- I won't be back. They are not upfront with their store credit policy. I've spent thousands in that store over the years on furniture and what not. My husband bought me a xmas gift and was promptly returned for credit and the fine print - good only for 60 days - is so small nobody can read it unless it's under your nose. We are not in Prescott in the winter months so imagine my surprise when I wanted to go shopping on our return. Nope. You lost a good customer Sara. read more

Love this little store so many cute items, but they don't really have a place to try things on. So, you take them home to try on. Their return policy is horrible. Especially if you r not there in the area and come for the summers to spend a ton of $$$ around the areas! After seeing in teeny print you lose your money after 60 days after returning an 80 dollar shirt I was upset to say the least! Will never go back because of this policy. Love this store and it's staff IS incredibly helpful. As a local resident, I enjoy the well stalked & unique inventory. It's nice to have so many Brighton pieces on hand. In addition, I'm proud to bring out of town guests to this locally owned gem. My visiting CA. family finds it refreshing that prescott and businesses like Fancy That have taken a common sense approach to the mask requirements. Prescott does not and has NEVER had a mandatory mask requirement. Shame on you if you have attacked a business for upholding and adhering to and following rules set by our local and state leadership. Buyer beware. You pay for a product you ,walk out of the store, you own it. I know this is Prescott but it is also the 21st century! I bought a pair of shoes $150 (Full price). I tried them in the store briefly. They seemed ok. I walked to my car across the street (20ft). The shoes felt very uncomfortable on the pavement. I immediately, went back to the store. The lady refused to take them back. I had, apparently, worn them. Really?? "Fancy that"! A store like this and its sevice/customer appreciation do not do justice to other stores in Prescott. read more

Absolutely disgusted. We have visited this establishment in the past and spent quite a bit of money. I was very excited to visit this place for some new home pieces. Upon 5 min into browsing, we stumbled upon some very negative conversation that was not family supportive. Coincidentally we were shopping with our 6 year old. We were very uncomfortable and stated just that. It then turned argumentative and the sales lady who's name I was told is "Judy" decided to proceed to tell me how to handle my son! You can imagine, I did not take this well and confronted her. This woman should NOT work for your establishment! We will definitely spread the word within the Scottsdale area and beyond that this business is not family friendly and politically liberal impartial based off the inappropriate conversations we witnessed. read more

The costumer service is always very helpful in making sure that I'm doing alright. The prices do tend to be very high but it is understandable since Fancy That is a small, local store with high quality products. This store also owns the home decor and furniture store across the street. From the sounds of the reviews, it is evident this is indeed the case. We experienced almost identical abhorrent behavior by a woman. We were in the furniture store for 20 minutes looking to pay cash for a dining set. The old woman we encountered was the most rude, outspoken, obnoxious and ignorant woman we have encountered in this town. Within 15 minutes she had insulted Californians, referencing them as "trash," exclaimed that she "owns" all her water in Prescott Valley (?), and then ridiculed and insulted my wife and me for wearing masks?? She ranted incoherently about how the Constitution gives her the right not to wear a mask??? While coughing all over us! Not sure where this old lady got her education (or her manners) but as an attorney I found her as amusing as she was completely ignorant. But being socially reprehensible says nothing about the fact that she is also the worst ambassador for any business! She should be fired for being so unbelievably offensive, rude, and just ridiculous. Never once did we give her any indication that we cared about her political beliefs or her purported water rights? LOL We were trying to look at tables! She apparently never thought for one second that we might ourselves be from California or have family or friends in California; Never once thought that I could not care less about her claim of "rights" to her water (and we're still trying to understands that rant). But most importantly, what she did not know is that my wife and I are both vaccinated, we both already experienced Covid, and we have lost loved ones to this horrible pandemic. I guess it didn't dawn on her that we were wearing masks not for ourselves but in particular for elderly people LIKE HER who, in her case unfortunately, might escape the tragic aspects of this pandemic. This obnoxious and ignorant woman single-handedly lost customers for life and we will tell every person we encounter to never darken the door steps of these stores. It is sad because we have met so many nice young gentleman who work at the furniture store. We have taken every friend who has come to visit us to the store. Never again. Good riddance, you awful human being! Learn some self control and just sell furniture! read more

I usually love visiting this store when I'm in town, however, the last two times I've visited I've felt uncomfortable because the staff does not find it convenient to wear masks and to think about the safety of others. While there in June, I wore a mask and a cashier said "oh you don't have to wear masks in here" as if they were silly. (My fiancé and I had Covid in March and after a month or so passed, my parents, from a town a few miles away, got Covid as well.) While here this last weekend, with numbers of Covid drastically high, none of the staff were wearing masks and customers were coming in without them either. My mother and I were the only ones in there with masks and honestly felt uncomfortable and left the store. It's really sad and selfish that the owners and or staff do not think of the safety of others. We do know friends who have died and have suffered in the hospital. I don't plan on shopping here again and plan to look for my over priced generic boutique items somewhere else. read more

The store had cute holiday decor and I did make a purchase. I found out after I purchased ornaments that one of the sales employees was rude to my stepmother because she was wearing a mask. She also made unsolicited rude comments to two other people in my party regarding wearing masks. There was no social distancing and no employees wore masks. Try everything on, some really cute stuff, just sizes seem random. Love the antique clocks, and the dresses with leather belts for straps. All the clothes were sized, but the sizes seemed random, so try them on! They have things like dressers, knick knacks, shirts, and even animals things! It's VERY eclectic! Almost like a flea a market/yard sale, but more upscale. They have a little satelite store across the street for overflow. Could spend hours or minutes, and enjoy it either way. Was excited to stop in as this was my favorite boutique in Prescott. Until this visit. Usually, very friendly staff. This visit - cold, snobby, rude. I love their selection and the unique finds. Where I went wrong - not trying on the clothes prior to purchase and leaving town. The sweater hat bat arms which is not flattering. My husband was able to return items within two days of purchase. Unannounced to us prior to purchase - store return policy is store credit if returned within seven days with tags. Thank goodness he had availability to take back that soon. With such a strict policy and with a majority of out of town visitors - it should be discussed with customer. Returned today to discover the gift certificate was good for 30 days. Unbelievable! We come up to Prescott every year at the same time with friends for the weekend and Fancy That is always the first stop we make. We always find unique clothing and decor. The staff at both locations were very friendly and helpful. They took our items and held them at the register so we could continue to look around. I will tell you now they did not require masks at either location and we found this at several other shops. We were fine with this. There were many customers in there with masks. We heard no staff making comments on this as mentioned in an earlier review. The store was busy and people were coming and going. If are you are uncomfortable or offended by their choice of running their business then don't go in. My friends and I will definitely be returning. read more

WARNING for out of town shoppers like me! I have shopped and purchased items at both the home goods store and their clothing store across the street. I have never seen nor been told about their return policy as I've never returned something until I purchased two jackets (and other items) yesterday late afternoon when I got to room and tried them on with good lighting and realized how boxy and big they were. I went to return them first thing this morning, never wore them, tags etc. When I paid out I paid with Apple Pay like many do, the Apple Pay station is behind the counter where the lady helping me had me pay out. No statement, no sign, no verbal declaration and no receipt ALL Apple Pay. Today I'm told I can only return them for store credit. I asked where the sign is as I stood at the Apple Pay station to put my card in, she pointed at the sign on other side of "cash register" that is blocked and the bar so accessorized you cannot pay there if you are buying items and have a wallet/purse... SO I never saw that and it was never mentioned or was I given a receipt... so... super disappointed in the very rude attitude of the employee and I will not be spending my money there any longer. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I Purchased an item for a gift.. Upon wrapping the gift saw that the item had a hole in it in the shoulder seam. I did not have enough time to go back to the store To exchange it, so I had to make other arrangements to get the gift in the mail. I went back to get a refund for the defective sweater and was told that they could only give a store credit or a replacement. I no longer needed the gift as I had already made other arrangements and the package mailed. After 2 calls to the owner I have been told that she will not refund EVEN if it's defective. I completely understand small business' Must have a more stringent return policy than large box storesHowever in the case of something being defective that is wrong! Bought a dress here and the staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. They let me try on many styles and offered shoes to see how the dress would look with heels. I took a long time in the dressing room and they never rushed me. They even held two dresses while I considered which I wanted. Fancy That! features a clothing shop as well as a home furnishings store of the same name on the opposite side of the street. The clothing styles are definitely bohemian so if that is your preference, this is the place to go. The items for the home I would say are primitive or country style. So again, if you like that style this store has a good selection of those items. I found staff at both sites to be very friendly and helpful. I really wanted to like this store but had to leave because the COVID precautions were practically nonexistent. Mask wearing was "optional" and none of the staff were masking from what I could see. The store was fairly crowded in a fairly small space which exacerbated the problem. Most of the other stores we visited in Prescott were being more responsible in protecting the public. We are in the midst of a virus resurgence in rural areas and as a nurse I am very concerned that we protect the most vulnerable in our society. read more

Terrible experience today. Quite a few customers without mask when the Prescott hospital is at 111% capacity. An employee without a mask kept getting close and talking to my mother and I. I backed up and once she disappeared I started looking at merchandise but she came right back and far too close talking again. We just left the store. We went across the street to their other store and another employee without a mask. You obviously aren't concerned for your customers safety. By the way, my mom is 90 so we won't get near your stores again. read more

This is an update from the last time I was there I did give them two stars because it's such a cute Boutique I'm down to one star because the customer service is the worst ever. I've worked in retail I have worked in boutiques and I have never seen such poor customer service. My friend bought me some hand lotion there that really bothered me and was too strong I only peeled the foil off to smell it and it was too strong and they would not let me exchange it and put the other one out as a tester. Will never go back to the store again they will never get a penny from me go next door to the consignment store it's much better. You lost me as a customer and four of my friends. I dunno.............I was pretty dissappointed with my recent visit here. The staff doesn't seem to know whats going on with the advertised specials....This was my favorite place to get my Brighton stuff, but now I'm kind of re-thinking that....... The advertised special was buy $100 in product and get a free tote bag. I bought $96 in regular priced Brighton and $12 in special. One staff person was going to give me the bag and the other person wouldn't let her and said it had to all be regular priced product. It doesn't say anything about that on the card. I kind of felt like the one staff person was making up the rules right then and there! I can't stand it when the staff is inconsistent or doesn't know whats going on. I felt a little misled with this "special". I recently discovered the Birghton stores at the airport. I seem to get more consistent service there. read more

Fancy That Home Store is a great shop with unique items and quality furniture. They are our go-to location for birthday and Christmas gifts because they always have interesting and unusual items that you can't find anywhere else in town. We just purchased four dressers to update our bedroom furniture. The price was very reasonable for their quality and the staff was extremely helpful in loading up our truck to take everything home. They have delivery available but we opted to take it ourselves as we live up a very bumpy mountain road. This is one of our favorite shops in Prescott and we will come back again and again. read more

I had a fantastic time shopping in here with my mother-in-law and her nieces. This store had tons of jewelery, purses, shoes and other misc. items. They carry a lot of Brighton items but also one-of-a-kind stuff. There is something for everyone. Well, as long as you are female. Take your time to look around, there is so much to see. What a beautiful store in the heart of Prescott! You would have to spend a couple days in here to see everything. The store has everything from decorating items to apparel. The style of product is rustic decor. Lots of metal signs and wooden furniture. All very good quality at a fair price. I was able to get the coolest Levi jacket with leather fringe on the sale rack for $26! I had to put on my glasses cuz I didn't believe the price. Certainly it must say $126. Nope $26. Very exciting for a bargain hunter like me. The shop is easy to find with parking right out front. I believe they are open everyday including some holidays as I was there on Mother's Day. The staff was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend if you are looking for a special gift for that someone special in your life. read more

The owner is arrogant and completely obnoxious! While there is quite a bit to choose from as far as jewelry, clothing, & cute home decor items, that people might think are unique, most of it is way overpriced & you CAN find almost all of them on Amazon. Lol. I don't mind paying extra for quality items & I used to shop at Fancy That every once in a while, that is, until I met the owner. It was the most unpleasant human interactions with a business owner I have ever experienced. I'm not going to go into great detail of how rude and condescending she was because that would take way too much of my time & energy. I can, however say that Prescott has literally 75 shops and boutiques that are worth your time. If you want shop and purchase quality items I would definitely recommend checking them out, but I would just avoid this one, at all costs ;) read more

I am obsessed with Fancy That! I travel to Prescott several times a month and HAVE to stop in every time! The items for sale are regularly refreshed so there is always some new treasure to find. It's my #1 stop for gifts for friends and family. I love that there are 2 store options across the street from each other, one for clothing/jewelry and the other for home decor. I can't decide which shop is my favorite! The staff are always kind and helpful. The owner is extremely personable and friendly, always willing to stop what she's doing to make sure the customer feels important.
