I haven't done a lot of shopping at Big Lots but when in a town without all the big stores, you go to available stores. This is definitely a nice Big Lots. It is very clean and well organized. Service is excellent, too. They really have some decent products, too. They have name brand items and some off brands that have proven quite good. I am currently looking around for some new bedroom furniture and plan on going in to see what I have viewed on line. I just wanted to say something before I do about this store. I think they have a great selection of products, but their employees seem to be out of it. I went into Big Lots and stumbled across a comforter for a bed that was marked down to twenty dollars and it made me happy.. till I went to the register. It came up as being $59.99 on the register so the nice sales associate called an older woman over who I guess was the manager to correct it. The manager spent like 5 whole minutes looking for a magnifying glass to read the SKU to see if the sale tickets SKU matched the original one. And it matched. After discovering that it matched the manager then rudely said, "Well, I cant give it to them for that price." Then walked away. She was highly rude, they did NOT honor their sticker price, and she wasted my time looking for a magnifying glass to be able to see that the SKU is correct, only to say I couldnt buy it for that price. I'm pretty sure it's appropriate and necessary for a MANAGER to have glasses if she needs them, instead of wasting peoples time being unprofessional. I'm NOT happy with this store, and even though I live in Roseburg, I will not go back again and i'll be sure to warn others. read more

First let's just get out of the way the fact that sometimes, this place freaks me out. Seriously, just watch the employees long enough and you'll understand. Now I don't come here often, but if I'm looking for miscellaneous goods, or just want to browse around, it's a fun store to go to. I come here for paper products a lot, such as notebooks, organizers, etc, because of the good prices and decent selection. Other times, I just want to browse and see if I find something random worth picking up, and often there is at least one thing that'll catch my eye. Back to the employees, the last reviewer was correct when describing them as "out of it." I had a manager openly admit to me that their rollover rate was extremely high, so getting a job there often wasn't difficult. Now mind you, that was a few years ago, so it might have changed, but presumably that means that at during at least one point in this store's history, they took Toby The Dancing Dude and put him in a hillbilly costume outside the store, dancing with a sign that said "hiring all idiots." By the way, that's not an insult to Toby, because he is one of the coolest people in town. You'll know him when you drive by the guy with long hair, often in a goofy costume, waving a sign and screaming "WOO!" at the top of this lungs and making more money than most of the employees of businesses he's advertising for. Yeah I said it; somebody is making a decent living waving signs. Eat THAT, college-pushing soccer moms! Once again, it's a fun store to browse around, and just about anybody can find some miscellaneous thing they didn't know they needed at a small price. read more

One of the nicer big lots I've been too. Good outdoor furniture selection here in the summer. Good prices and nice employees.

Staff is consistently courteous and helpful. Store is clean and organized. One specific experience prompted this review though. In the ad a pool was advertised that didn't actually come in due to Covid delays. The store manager, Dawn, said she would take my name and number, set one aside for me and call me when they came in. Quite a bit of time passed and I figured she had forgotten. She didn't. Approx 4 weeks later, she called and said it was finally in and there was one waiting with my name on it. We went to the store and there was indeed one with my name being held for me! At check out Dee made sure I got it at the ad price and Josh loaded it in our vehicle for us. In a day where people sticking to their word is rare, I appreciated Dawn doing what she said she would!
