Having been on the road in our RV for the last couple of weeks, some of our supplies were getting low. I wouldn't swear to it, but I think Fred Meyer stores are only found in Oregon. We've been to a few of them over the years in places like Roseburg and a few other cities in the state. They're pretty massive stores and they don't only sell groceries. If you've never been to a Fred Meyer, you'll be surprised at what you see when you get there. They have a nice deli and produce section. In addition to groceries, they sell things like clothing, furniture, beauty supplies, jewelry, toys, electronics, sports equipment, camping gear, automotive items, hardware, tools, housewares, and more. The store that I visited in Roseberg was very clean, fully stocked, and well organized. I found everything pretty well except for an eyeglass repair kit. I asked several people that worked at the store if they had them and, if so, where I could find them. I got lots of answers like: "I work in groceries section," "I don't know," "Try clothing and apparel,""I'm only in charge of putting up signs," and, "This is the employee area, so they're not here." I finally found an employee in the tool area that told me all the checkout counters have them. Bingo! Sure enough, that's where they were! Overall, I like this store. And all of it is fun to look through. We found this place when we were looking for boat plugs. No one, including big sporting goods stores had any but someone suggested Coastal Farm and Ranch-which did not compute-but when I called, not only did they have them, they had two types and two different sizes!! So this is the only place I go. I had fantastic service-the gentleman in Sporting Goods had been wonderful on numerous occasions, a gentleman in the area with Power Equipment put down a long tree saw to help me find something, someone in the Animal Feed department helped me find something, too. If you bring something back, you need a receipt or if you join their club, they can find what you've purchased- best thing! I definitely recommend going to Coastal Farm and Ranch and I'll be back!

I buy a case of Acrobat from them, and pulling it off a stack of wine that is high, (I'm 6' tall), and 2-3 bottles want to fall out of the case over the front cut out, when I pulled it off the shelf, when I loaded it into the car, and when I unloaded at home. Also, I had an hour and 45 minute drive where the bottles clinked against each other the entire trip and drove me crazy!

We got second TV home and it, too, was shattered. Took it back and customer service stated there is NO store policy about not opening boxes. Took our business to Costco, who opened the box and allayed our concerns. Our new Samsung is plugged in, connected, and looks great. Shame on you, Walmart!

This place is sectioned off really nicely and has something for everyone. Clothing for the entire family at really reasonable prices. Camping supplies including tents, ice chests, and all the gear you need to go along with it. Checked out their handgun section and even though they don't have as much of a selection as say a Cabela's what they do have are popular brands and calibers. Staff that is knowledgeable and more than willing to give you advice and information about the handguns they do have. If they aren't sure of an answer they find out while you are looking. These guys were hands down some of the best I have ever worked with at outdoor/gun shop. They truly care about the customer experience and the way the work with the customers encourages their return. No pressure shopping at it's best! They don't try and push you into making a decision and they make sure to let everyone know they are willing to work with you on price if they are able to.
