This Costco was a great pit stop for us. First of all, they are in Oregon. They have self serve, and also full serve for their gas. As a ignorant Californian, I didn't look at what line I was in. It was surprising when the attendant came over and asked me for my credit card so that he could pump my gas. I told him I went in the wrong line. He told me I could do it myself if I wanted. I did it myself, but, it was nice to know that he could've pumped the gas for me. This Costco had stuff that we bought because it was cheaper than at another Costco. I didn't have my receipt but, the guy was able to look up my purchase history and choose the price that my wife demanded me to get back. Other Costco's will give you the lowest return price that you purchased it for, if you don't have the receipt. Matcha Hazelnuts. I've never them at any other Costco. I glad we purchased them here. They have just enough different things here to keep things interesting. Restrooms were clean like normal Costco's. We liked this location. It had a couple of fast food restaurants nearby. We might drop by again if our travels lead us here. read more

This Costco has the same basic items as any other Costco. Lots of inventory. Clean and things are organized neatly. I use this Costco, at least, once a month. The best thing is that this isn't nearly as crowded as other Costco's. You aren't waiting in mile long lines. It doesn't have some of the more interesting products I see other Costco's have but we don't have the volume, either. Service is always good. Value is why you go to Costco. Value and quality of products is the best part. read more

Another Costco with the garlic pepper seasoned drums in the rotisserie department, our local Costcos in CA and NV carry the ribs. Also had the clothing season change, great prices at this location. Atmosphere - Consistent. Tire center - advertising car sales here today. Service - Consistent. Price - Rarely check as they are almost always a good value, especially in the beer/wine department. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success with this location that opened here in 2010. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. I went to Costco in Roseburg today and only had 2 items in my basket, went up to the self service checkout with my card in my hand and there was a man there saying he needed to see my Costco card (after I showed it at the door and have to show the machine too) He grabbed it out of my hand and broke my card in half. I will always love Costco for what I can buy. That being said even though I gave it a 5 star this Costco is an absolute nightmare. Roseburg and this area is mainly geriatrics who don't work. So you can't ever find a time to go when it's "slow" so that people are standing in the way of everything. Thats impossible. Doesn't matter if it's a Tuesday at 2pm or a weekday 5 min after they open. The elderly are outside waiting. I can't look at half the crap I need because people are always in the way. I don't get muffins the last 3 times I went because it was just groups of old people at the muffins. I wish this store was open until 10pm. There is just no way to get away from the elderly lurkers. Also the free samples are great but get it and eat it while walking. The free samples lady by the cheese blocks the cheese cause everyone stands there.......sometimes I just don't even go there it's such a mess. read more

Gas at Costco is almost always cheaper. Did you know that in Oregon you can't pump your own gas? You get just 2 choices - 87 or 91. That is right, no 89! Unlike the Costco's over here, this place had like 15 cars max in the parking lot and that's considered a normal day. If only Costco is like that here because stalking someone for a parking spot, navigating through the endless maze of people and their carts is sometimes unbearable. OK- it is ALWAYS unbearable. Stopped here to get gas, the gas attendant was very unfriendly and seemed very uninterested in helping us by putting fuel in our vehicle. No greeting and no inquiry as to fuel preferences. The gas attendant just stood there with a blank look on his face. Of course we will return to use our account to purchase fuel, this type of experience hopefully will not be repeated. read more

We stopped at this Costco on our road trip from Oregon to Northern California quite frankly for a restroom break, and gas. This store looks brand new and is very clean. If given the opportunity, I love to stop into Costco's in other regions to see what items they have which may be different from my local Costco. They were selling rain barrels (smart!) and they even had Beecher's Cheddar Cheese from Seattle in their Cheese case and it was so inexpensive compared to prices in So Cal, I couldn't believe it! This Costco seems to have some of the friendliest employees around but that seems to be common with many of the people we've met from Oregon since moving from CA in 2010. This Costco is a smaller warehouse compared to others in larger markets. It has most everything you need and I like the local and Oregon based products they carry. It is missing a photo department but how often do we ever have photos printed anyway? Gotta love the rotisserie chicken! read more

This had to be one of the nicest Costco's I've been in. I actually was surprised that such a small town had one, but it showed. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were no lines in check out, the store was not crowded. I don't know if this is the norm but Oh my gosh it was wonderful. We noticed what a really nice selection of fresh fish they had and they did have some locally caught salmon. It had all the usual amenities that every Costco has, phot center, optometry, tires and the great priced snack bar. I wish the Costco where I lived was as nice as this one!! The Roseburg, Oregon Costco store itself is generally fine. Although we've had a few run-ins with snotty return clerks. This particular review is only for Costco's association with AT&T/DirecTV, but I don't know where else to register my disgust. We bought our DirecTV service through this store in March 2015. (AT&T subsequently acquired DirecTV, but we were given no opportunity to terminate our 2-year contract no matter how much we hated AT&T.) The DirecTV and AT&T/DirecTV service itself hasn't been awful, although our previous experience with Dish Network was better, and cheaper to boot. The current problem arose when we decided to switch to Charter Cable because we simply couldn't do without high-speed Internet any longer. (Because AT&T/DirecTV can at best "bundle" you with AT&T or some other DSL provider, we were buying Internet service along with our Frontier landline phone service.) Frankly, I had a pretty good idea that we were in for trouble when the AT&T/DirecTV phone rep who took our cancellation order spent several minutes going over and over ... and over ... the potential severe penalties if we didn't meet strict deadlines for returning their equipment. So I wasn't completely shocked when, several weeks after we returned their equipment in a pre-paid box via USPS, we received a bill in the mail from DirecTV for $180 for "non-return" fees for their equipment. And, by the way, if we didn't pay it within some unspecified time frame, AT&T/DirecTV would simply charge our credit card they have on file. Long story short, it took my wife nearly an hour out of her busy day on a "chat" with someone named "Yennifer C." in some unspecified country (where English is most definitely NOT their first language) to get AT&T/DirecTV to reverse this bogus $180 charge. I don't know how common this kind of sleazy conduct is, but Costco should reevaluate its relationship with AT&T/DirecTV. It reflects poorly on what is otherwise the generally good opinion we hold of both Costco and of its Roseburg Warehouse. read more

The customer service in the store is fine from what I can tell but NEVER AND I DO MEAN NEVER BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM THEM!! Worst experience in my life and their supposed "concierge customer service" sucks! I bought a very expensive LG dishwasher and no one ever informed me that they would not be installing it even though the installation was included in the purchase price. It has been and still is sitting in the middle of my kitchen for over a week now and all through Christmas are you kidding me?? It's as good of a Costco as any other I've been to. We do a lot of our shopping here because of (duh) the excellent prices on large amounts of household goods, as well as some grocery shopping. Also, free samples! Food court is typical, which isn't bad, but they don't have Mountain Dew. Let's take a moment of silence to reflect on that. Okay I'm depressed now. My favorite store ever. I have a family of five and this is by far the place to get my groceries and supplies. It has the best bang for my buck. I love the fact that everybody that works there seem so happy. They always have a smile on their face and they seem to genuinely enjoy working there. Only been in the store twice before I decided it wasn't for me. 1st I refuse to pay a corporation for a privilege to shop there. 2nd, I refuse to pay a corporation to be treated like a criminal. If I'm in a hurry, I'm certainly not in a hurry to stand in a line for someone to check my reciept. Under the constitution, the 4th amendment says I'm allowed to be secure with my person, home and papers. That reciept is my paper once paid for. If they are worried about shoplifting, they can check outside the store. 4th I wrote on a comment and they censored me, because they want no bad press. Walmart started the same thing, but I refuse to show them and show them the Constitution instead. If you give up these little Rights, it soon becomes the norm, then the law. Our last Costco was in Southern New Jersey, and it was not nearlynad nice or run as well as the excellant onenin Roseburg. I would totally give 5-STARS , BUT Costco lets DIRECTV salespeople hit up customers for business, and this would be fine except the DIRECTV SALES are completely untrustworthy and lie to your face. HERE's an example- eveything the salesperson tells youis null & void when you sign a contract. That haslanguage like this: DIRECTV BILLING PRICING and FEES: DIRECTV pricing and fees are subject ti change at anytime, but this is not a reason for canceling without paying the EARLY TERMINATION FEE. [Translation:] Once you sign this you are stuck in a contract for 2 years, and DIRECTV can charge you as much as they like every month, and if you refuse you will be billed for every month of the contract unfilled (EARLY TERMINATION FEE), again at any rate they like with any other fees they want to pile on top. 《Super Short Translation》Forget what the sales guy promises- the DIRECTV contract is the equivalent of signing over a blank check to a company with an outstanfing reputation for over billing and a customer service that refuses almost any assistance, and always long wait times. DIRECTV's unbelievably bad customer service comes into play every month when younhave to fight to get bogus over chsrges dropped every month or just go along with their criminal unwarrented fees, while you are locked into a 2 year contract. The sales guy Carlos Gusman even promised us that as COSTCO customers we would receive special cusomer service and all of the customer service people we would work with are here in Oregon- (that would be great- the only problem is that Carlos piled on lie after lie after lie, so I was suspecting that un reality I would be in for long waits on.call to India, that would fail to fix the slew of monthly billing and quality issues. I went in to pick out a pair of glasses and was told that I would have to put on my mask when not trying on. Fine. I picked out several pairs and was trying on one after the other. One of the clerks came over to me and chastised me as if I were a child, informing me I MUST put on and then take back off my mask each time I tried on a different pair of glasses! Apparently, she thought power tripping me was more important than doing her actual job, which was selling me a $300 pair of glasses and a $100 eye exam. Not to mention touching my mask unnecessarily TWICE between trying on each pair of glasses, then touching the glasses, spreads way more germs than just trying on one pair after another without putting on and removing my mask between each try on. Her personal "rule" makes zero sense. This mask wearing "rule" gives people who never have had control over anything in their entire lives a chance to lord over people who are only trying to go about their business, spend several hundred dollars, and get their errands done. I will never consider buying a pair of glasses from Costco again, and I will advise anyone else against it as well. To top this all off, I am medically exempt from wearing a mask but Costco doesn't accept my exemption. read more

Hard wares as you walk in, grocery items on the opposite side of the store. Nice to have a Costco close. Its a little hidden Gem here!! Reachable from/to Sacramento area if your smart and keep the foot off the pedal! I'm talking what being "Yelp" smart is about!!.. Check it out Bubbie, it's hidden, but it IS here!! I spend some extra money to show how I appreciate the facility here... For somereason, this Costco seems more intimate. More "friendly"! I'm sure the folks here would just love being left as their sleepy 'ol town selves... SORRY!!! Yer on our map Baby!! We love ya, but you are gunna have to put up with us.. Was driving through from Seattle to SF and stopped in here for some tax free shopping, dinner, and gas. Friendliest Costco I've ever been to hands down. Everybody was exceptionally nice. Almost to the point of creepy. The downside of this particular Costco is that they don't have all of the latest and greatest. I saw some products here that had already been cycled out of some other Costco in the big cities. No big though. read more

We had a tire blow out on a recent vacation. The tire department was absolutely amazing and performed a small miracle to help us out. They were the nicest, cheapest and quickest tire guys in town. They really helped us out of a huge jam and we are forever in their debt. Plus they were nice to our dog... how can you not love that! Highly recommend, and thanks guys!!!! read more

It's a Costco. Not much else needs said. They usually have short lines for the cafeteria. Not much of a problem finding parking. Has a gas station that also isn't too rough getting into and getting filled up. Has a tire/battery section that seems busy, but not so much I would avoid going there. read more

Ordered tires for our car here. Matt in the tire Dept was very patient with all of our questions. This is the best tire shop in Roseburg. The service was above and beyond and surprisingly fast.
