Meijer (which I do not have in Las Vegas where I actually live) in my head is way better than Walmart and Kroger, but not as good as a boutique grocery spot like Baeslers or the health driven option of Fresh Thyme. This location is horribly convenient where highway IN46 and I-7O converge. Like the casino that is being built right here as well, often it can be about location location location. Having been in this store a few times over the years, I always find it clean, bright and open, football field size massive, well stocked and always organized with a good welcoming feel. It always is never horribly busy to me compared to Walmart, which is a negative for Meijer but a positive for me. I can always find the produce I am looking for in their abundant produce section and it is pretty good quality. We have had luck with the prepackaged salmon at the meat case. Conveniently located. Pretty well stocked every time I visit. Clean. I do return and will continue to do so when back in Terre Haute.

There used to be several varieties, but now there are none to be found and no place for it on the shelves.. And the nonalcoholic section is all mixers some that actually contain alcohol!! And the section of nonalcoholic spirits and wines have been reduced by half! Is not being an alcoholic to woke now or what???

A major overhaul needs to be done in the franchises business plan changing the name is obviously not the answer. Maybe get rid of the so called coupons and cut prices or keep the coupons and lose the confusing exclusions. I left over 200.00 worth of merchandise on the counter and it wasn't because of the 25.00 I would have saved. It was the 20 minutes of the clerks trying to figure it all out.

He even cut the tag off my glasses that I purchased. Enjoyed the interaction with this young man. Often times corporate America loses its vision on the simplicities of honest good customer service. They focus on the wrong qualities and services that bring people back to their business time and time again. Van nailed it. Prayers for this young man for success and excellence in his future. Was informed at the CS desk that they don't take items back after 180 days anymore. I told the lady that that wasn't the policy when I bought it. She then said it was a Covid thing. I kid you not!!! I looked at her and said "what the hell does Covid have to do with my vacuum not charging?" She looked at me with that deer in the headlights look and ask if I wanted to talk to the manager. That conversation didn't go anywhere. I'm done with Kohl's. You just lost my family as costumers. I sure they don't care, but they should. How many national stores are going under? But quite honestly, in this community, Walmart is a vital piece of this economy compared to other larger cities with more competition (like Target). This Terre Haute Walmart deserves a quick shout out because the pharmacy is exceptional and they finally repaved the parking lot. I say this having been to this Walmart maybe 100 times over the years while visiting my folks....going to the pharmacy having parked a car in their lot. The line up of staff behind that pharmacy counter has been so sincerely nice to my parents over many years. I have witnessed it countless times. They are authentic in their dealings with people and my folks and this deserves to be recognized. They are knowledgeable and professional. They are a tremendously busy pharmacy too. And that parking lot was a busted up piece of pothole crap for such a long time. What a big difference a new parking lot can make a standard Walmart feel. Well done in jazzing It up Walmart, well overdue. So yeah Walmart, you deserve some Yelp love with a 4 from me.
