Big Mommas was super accomodating and helpful. Great Bikes overall. We needed kids bikes and they had them!!! Our girls had a hard time riding one of the biks, so Big Mommas swapped it out for an even better solution and even delivered it to where we were staying. THE MOST amazing bike shop ever!! (..and I've been to a lot of them) Each staff person is helpful and knowledgable. They are fast and efficient. If you call head, they'll tell you the best time to come in so they can give you the most attention. I've rented from them for four years in a row and always had a fantastic experience. Their equipment is excellent and the prices are fair. They really go the extra mile. This year I ended up buying a bike from them I liked the rental so much. They boxed and shipped it to me after my vacation ended. My sister in law has used them every March for many years and she says everyone in the Naples area goes straight to BIG MOMMA's. I'm a seasonal resident in Naples so I value time that I am here. That being said my bike wheel ended up bent rendering my bike inoperable. I brought to another local bike shop that had a 48 hour turn around for service and I just couldn't wait that long. After many visits and phone calls to a bicycle store in Estero and Naples I finally gave up and started to look around for a place to rent 4 bikes for 2 weeks. So I called Big Momma's.... I've never been treated better by any business, ever. They rented me a great road bike for a reasonable price and showed me several good routes to take through the area. About an hour into my first ride I took a seriously bad fall. Damaged my shoulder and also damaged the handlebars. Sal took the bike back, didn't charge me a penny extra for the damage and said his only concern was my well-being. If I ever get back to normal and get back to Naples, I wouldn't rent from anyone else. They are the best - better than the best. read more

Shop Local. That's the FIRST thing I try to do. But when I encounter people like the guy I talked to today at Big Momma's Bicycles, I like many, are resigned to do business with Amazon. I came in to the shop prepared to buy a bike. I had done some research and was interested in a Sun 3-Speed Cruiser. The guy, who barely could look up from his work station said, "Well what KIND of Sun 3-Speed Cruiser?!" with all the attitude he could muster. My apologies for not knowing the exact model number! He proceeded to blurt agressive questions that made me feel very inadequate in my knowledge of this particular bike. This was a horrible experience! In my business, where customer-service is an essential part of our success, we are keenly aware that brick and mortar businesses are under attack. This retailer is clearly unaware, or doesn't care. Save your time and go somewhere where you wont feel abused for not knowing enough to meet the high standards of a bicycle shop mechanic snob. Like Amazon. read more

These are some of the most laid back, personable people I have ever dealt with. Rental process is quick and easy, prices are really great. Called to ask if I could return a rented bike after hours, since we were leaving early the next day... Got a big, smiley, "Sure! Just lock it up out front, and have a safe trip home!" We've been renting here for ten years and have always found the place friendly and accommodating. Now under new management and was surprised with the bad attitude we were subjected to. We have our own bikes but wanted to rent two tag alongside for our kids. The manager told us we couldn't rent a tag along unless we also rented the bikes with them. Never been the case before in 10 years. But he informed me that there's new management. He got wind we were renting for the week and so he changed his mind suddenly. Some people just shouldn't be in customer service. Total grouch the whole time. Too bad this was a great place to rent from. read more

I took my family here to rent bikes during our vacation in Naple's Florida and had an incredible experience- the best I have ever had with bike rentals. The bike riding was beautiful and enabled us to see a bit of Naples as well as more of the wild life- we even saw snowy egrets strolling around in people's front yards. I strongly recommend Bib Momma's Bicycles and biking in Naples! We come from hilly Pittsburgh, and found riding here in Naples even easier than walking and this gave us a chance to see Naples in a nicer way than driving. We rented the bikes for three days and I took the kids out in the morning for bike rides as well. It was a beautiful way to start the day! With respect to Big Momma's Bikes- we had unbelievable service!! We were outfitted with bikes for 2 adults and my three kids ages 15, 9 and 9. The bikes are beautiful - not at all want you would expect from a bike rental (my husband and I rented Bianchi's at a very reasonable price). Tony put baskets on some of the bikes and did a fantastic job of fitting the bikes for each of us. One of the things that was so remarkable was how he took into account my kids' s personalities and riding style when he fit their bike. For example, one of my daughter's probably would have been sized up a bike based on standard approaches. After speaking with her a little and watching her ride, he gave her a lower seat. He also noticed the kids were quite hot. When they in another part of the store, he recommended to me that we stop at a l ice-cream store along the route during an early part of the ride. This was incredibly sensitive-if he had suggested this in front of them- I couldn't have surprised them with it when we were riding. It was a fantastic recommendation. While the bike shop looks like it is on a busy street (Seagate), it is very close to nice bike trails. We were given an extremely useful biking map with instructions on how to get to bike paths and trails. We were super impressed! I can't say enough about these guys. We just moved to the area and this shop is down the street from our house. I come to find out my 11 year old daughter has stopped in and gotten her tires checked, chain tightened and they have never charged her. I find this out when my daughter crashed her bike and really banged it up. She walked it in there and they called me up and said they were busy but they see my daughter biking all the time so they will drop what they are doing so they can get her back on her bike fast. They say it really needs new forks which are $160 but they can probably hammer it out and make it passable for $60 and it will be ready tomorrow. 3 hours later my phone rings the bike is ready and I said I will send my daughter in with my credit card is that ok? No problem. She comes home ear to ear smiling bike looking good as new minus a few dings and they only charged her $30. 30 bucks isn't much to most people, wasn't much to me 3 months ago, and probably isn't much to them. But we lost our home and jobs 3 months ago in the islands in the hurricane so 30 bucks makes a difference to me now. They had no idea what it meant to me or my daughter it was just them being the honest cool people they are and that's how they do business. When FEMA and insurance checks finally arrive I am buying all you guys a big lunch. You are absolutely the best people ever. Thank You!!! read more

Outstanding service! We are staying at a nearby hotel and wanted a bike for our 12-year-old daughter. Amy took the time to make all the adjustments so that the bike would operate safely for her. Then delivered the bike and helmet and locked it up outside our hotel for us to begin riding the next morning. The bike was exactly what we needed and the weekly rate was very reasonable. Scary encounter. Walked into shop, proprietor on phone with customer, very frustrated. Then he contacted employee on phone, used profane language. Asked me harshly what I wanted. Asked about bike rentals. Gave me brochure and circled type of bike I wanted. I asked about sign outside that said $5/day. He laughed and walked away. I said I must have caught him at bad time. Went downhill from there. Guy was acting postal. Stark contrast to bike shops on Vanderbilt Beach Rd. where employees can't do enough for customers. Be careful interacting with this guy. Can I do two separate reviews? The older gentleman (and i say gentleman with great reserve) working the store has a lot of work to do on improving his persona with customers. I needed a basket and bell and was immediately instructed by this fella not to "cross a painted line" in store due to them not being able to insure me if something happened. The tone of the request was absolutely unmistakeably curmudgeon. I waited my turn patiently and when said gentleman finally asked me if I was being helped, I responded "no, are you ready?" He said "yes" and when I did not respond quickly enough for him, He said, Sorry, you lost your turn and walked away. Quite taken aback, I said, I'd like to work with someone else. A kind and gentle gentleman assisted me and fulifliied everything I needed with ease and good humor. I'm guessing the "older" fella is the owner and I hope he knows how fabulous his worker is. Life is short and I feel better just letting this fella know, his behavior is unnneccesary and uncalled for. Please do better. read more

there it was, on the road, the orange bike of my dreams, fortunately i was running there for service with my tattered wheels hanging out of the back of my mini cooper hatch...we did a fast trade, the new one was delivered that evening, with the coziest seat ever!!! the owner was a delight, the pricing was beyond reasonable, and the service was exceptional...i will never shop at a large sporting goods store again for something this personal, kismet, the small town bike shop that made me feel as if i had stepped back into my childhood, but the colors are cooler than way back when...a MUST stop if you are shopping for a bike!!! read more
