My fiancé and I recently purchased four brand-new tires from Big O for my truck. Let me make it clear also that we purchased one of their highest "quality" tires, not just some cheap ones. I only drive to work and back, and I work less than ten minutes from where I live, so needless to say the tires do not get driven on much. After having the tires for about 2 months and driving hardly at all on them, I got a flat. I do not know why, there was nothing stuck in the tire and no evidence of running anything over. So I'm guessing this "high quality" tire was just faulty. I got to work that morning and the tire was fine, came out about 3 hours later for a lunch break and it was totally flat. So we changed to the spare tire and took the flat to Big O because it was under warranty. WE DID NOT EVEN DRIVE ONE SINGLE INCH ON THE FLAT TIRE. The only thing that is not covered under warranty is a run flat tire (driving on a flat tire for days or weeks and destroying it) which clearly did not happen here, but naturally when we brought the tire to Big O, they said it was a run flat because they did not want to live up to the warranty. We knew this wasn't correct, and having just spent a TON of money on these tires and hardly gotten to use them, we were a bit upset. So my fiancé went to talk to the owner. This was the owners response, WORD FOR WORD: "Levi (my fiancé) was simply too lazy to change the tire and drove on it flat, which destroyed the tire. Customers like Levi think the warranty covers everything. The tire will be replaced at full price." After that, the owner called my fiance and left him a NASTY voicemail. Let me just say that I have worked in customer service for a long time and I am OUTRAGED. It is NEVER okay for anyone working in customer service to belittle a customer, let alone the OWNER of an establishment. This was extremely unprofessional and I intend to make sure the corporate office knows exactly what kind of person is running their business over here. Bottom line, do NOT waste your time and money at this place. You will pay a ton of money for low quality tires that will go flat for no reason, then they will not live up to the warranty and the owner will belittle and insult you. WORST PLACE I'VE EVER DONE BUSINESS. I don't know what I'm more disgusted with... the waste of money on bad tires or the terrible customer service. read more

Went in to get my tires balanced. Immediately I'm met with two people at the front desk who just sit there. So I instead initiate the interaction and explain I'm there to get my tires balanced. The blonde bearded kid tells me I have 2 people in front of me and it'll be between an hour and an hour and a half. I come back almost 2 hours later, and they have not even began working on my car, instead the older guy with the goatee and beer belly had decided to have a few people go ahead of me. So another 20 minutes goes by and they tell me I need a new set of tires. I went over to Firestone and purchased through them because of what an outright tool the guy at the front counter was. Maybe just stay home eat your pizza and don't lose sales for Big O with your trash attitude. read more

I had a great experience at this Big O Tires location. On a busy Saturday, I needed to swap a lawnmower tire from one rim to another. After calling several other shops in town and being told it 'wasn't going to happen' until at least next week, I called here and spoke with Travis. He told me to bring it right in and he'd get it taken care of. When I arrived, the shop was clearly humming, but the service was still top-notch. While waiting just a few minutes for the front desk, multiple staff members checked in to see if I'd been helped. Travis got the swap done quickly despite how busy they were. It's rare to find that kind of 'can-do' attitude on a weekend. I'll definitely be back for my future tire needs! read more

This is the third time I brought my car to Big O Tires in Bozeman, and again, I am very impressed with the service I've received. While I often felt I (and sometimes was able to confirm) that I was getting the runaround at other car repair shops, at Big O the car mechanics take their time to find out what is really wrong with my vehicle and to explain the problem to me in detail and in terms a lay person can understand. They also give me all the available options so I can find one that fits my budget. They are clearly committed to earning your trust and to building a long-term relationship with their customers. It's amazing to see how Rob H wants to fight every negative review on here. Maybe if he spent this much time actually helping his customers in the first place, or taking any sort of accountability for incompetencies that lead to multi-day delays, he wouldn't have so many negative reviews. Contrary to Rob's delusion, most people are reasonable and understanding and appreciate even subpar communication and respect. Great guys, great service, really know their stuff. They sell quality tires and do quality work. They believe in educating the customer and they also are quick to do you a favor, like fixing a flat and not charging you for it. They are not the cheapest shop in town but you get what you pay for, or, in this case, you get more than you pay for. Trustworthy and reliable folks. Purchasing tires is usually a chore I detest but Big O Tires in Bozeman made it a pain-free experience. They ordered the exact model tires I wanted and didn't try to push me to something I didn't want. Pricing was competitive as I shopped around locally and online. If you are traveling near Bozeman, run into car trouble and wondering where to take your vehicle, bring it here! It's located right off the interstate so it's easy to get to. The staff were all friendly and their rates are reasonable. The waiting area has a tv, a children's play area and free wi-fi, which was very convenient. My experience here was similar to Heather's. I was given tremendous attention from the second I walked into the store. Unlike other tire stores I went to, the salesman here did not try to sell me the most expensive brand. He actually took the time to explain the pros and cons of a bunch of models.
