Fuck these guys. Super predatory business practices. I went in for a $12 inspection and they tried to charge me over $700 for repairs I didn't need. I drove an extra 10 minutes to my real mechanic, CAR Guys in Merriam Woods, and guess what? They told me all of these repairs were unnecessary and certainly not required to pass inspection. $12 at CAR Guys and I was out the door with my inspection passed vehicle. Avoid Big O at all costs. Bought new tires with them and they supposedly do computer alignment. I had to bring the car back in since the dealership checked the alignment soon after the new tires were installed. The dealer's computer alignment showed the car was misaligned and the tires were wearing unevenly and very worn. In the past, this Big O had honored their tire warranty. This time, they said I only needed to replace two tires and pay for the alignment . We questioned them repeatedly about them saying we only needed two tires replaced- since it's an AWD car. Common sense says all 4 tires needed replacing. We let them replace the two tires and they made us pay for the alignment. A short time later, the dealership checked out the vehicle and said the misalignment was dangerous and would cause serious damage to the car. When we returned the car to Big O they asked us to email them the photos and the report from the dealership. They didn't follow up on our email as they had promised. When we reached out again about a week later, they said to bring the car in. When we brought it in, they said that the tires were just out of warranty - by about a week. They knew that the tires were still under warranty when we first brought it back in. But, they didn't call to get us back in. They waited just long enough that the tires would be out of warranty so they didn't have to replace the other two tires that they should have replaced in the first place! This place also constantly overinflated the tires when we would get the oil change with tire rotation. That's dangerous and probably contributed to the extreme wear on the tires and the tires being unbalanced. They have lost our business. Strongly recommend against using this place. read more

Well, Big O Did It Again!!! As I've stated in other reviews I've posted here, I don't let Anyone touch my car except the crew here at the Big O Tires in Hollister. This time my situation ended up being A Whole lot more complicated than they thought and they Didn't let me down! First off, the assistant manager Kenny Swinson and the service advisor Sean Walker have One Awesome Crew here!! I brought my 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, Bumble Bee Edition in because I noticed that the steering wheel started shaking REALLY BAD anytime I would apply the breaks or make a turn. I DO NOT know Why this started to happen after picking up my vehicle from a body shop that I had just gotten the vehicle clear coated, but this is where I noticed the drastic change. I brought the car in for a synthetic oil change, tires to be balanced/rotated, the left front tire sensor replaced, new brakes and rotors. Come to find out the Real Culprit was that the rack and pinion, power steering pump, outer tie rod and the strut mount ALL had to be replaced. I know they had to keep my baby for a few days because they were a little stumped on the issues before figuring everything out, but I Have To Tell You.... My Camaro SS drives like it did when I drove it off the car dealers lot. And THIS is Why I don't let ANYONE Touch my vehicle other than Big O at the Hollister location. Thanks Again Guys!! read more

I came in to get some tires swapped out. I was putting on a 235/30R20 on a 20 by 10 rims but they could not get the rims on that's not the problem I wanted to use the tires that I had on one set of rims for another set of rims but unfortunately I can't do that because there is a big gash in my side wall and is now unsafe for the roads pretty pissed about this but they didn't charge me anything thankfully read more

I had called same day to see if they could take some old tires off my wheels and replace with some new ones. Got me right in took care of it. My car is a BMW with off set stance, they accidentally put the fronts on the back and, the back on the front... I noticed this brought it to the attention of the manager Jimmie and Chelsea.. they took care of me and very apologetic, didn't even charge me for the work done when I insisted on it, they still said no charge. Took care of the mishap and all is well!! Good staff very friendly would recommend for sure..thanks again guys! read more

I went in to have new tires put on my car, the fourth set I have purchased from them in 10 years. The day I took it home I noticed the low pressure light was on. I took it back the next day and they said it was probably just needing to be reset. After looking they said my back left sensor had paired with another tire from another car. They said I must have had work done somewhere else where it happened. I explained it just happened the day before when they changed the tires. They said they couldn't help me unless I paid to have a new sensor put on. Or they said I could just bring the car in once a week and they would check my tire pressure for free! Wow, they really valued my years of business. Needless to say I will never buy another tire from them or have any other work done there! read more

If it could have been possible to rank them below 1 star I would have done so. About a year ago we purchased a good set of tires from this Big O store. Until the past month or so we have been satisfied. However, there was a change in personnel which resulted in a tire rotation in which they failed to tighten two of our locking nuts. When confronted the manager, RJ, told me he was not responsible and refused to help in locating even one new locking nut (I had already supplied one locking nut). His customer service was horrible. I would recommend that no one ever walk into that shop again unless they have a change in management. read more

I was in the Branson area on vacation and one of my valve stems was leaking air badly. I was in a hurry to get to a boat rental and asked if they would get to my tire immediately. They not only put in a new valve stem immediately, they did it for free. Big thumbs up for Big O Tires. read more

I went in to have a tire patched up. They had some trouble finding the hole but eventually did and fixed it up. Today I received impeccable customer service. My kids and I came to Branson on vacation and before we left we noticed I had a slow leak, I took it the day before to our local hometown tire shop to get a plug in it... needless to say, I paid for a plug/patch that never happened. Fast forward to yesterday, I noticed the "low tire pressure" light was back on....huh? How could this be? I called my husband and he said take it to get fixed, well it had to be the next day because all the places were closed at that time. Today I scheduled an appointment. When I got there, the manager told me that they where running a little behind because they lost power due to a bad thunder storm. Well, I called my other family members who were with my kids and told them it may take a little longer because of the power outage. No more than 2 min after I hung up, the manager came back around and said, "Ma'am , I have a technician that is done with his other car and we are going to go ahead and fix your tire now!" I asked him if he minded letting me know if they see a plug/ patch in the tire, from Saturday that I "paid" for? He said, sure. 5 min later, he came back asked me to come to the shop, showed me the nail still in my tire and also showed me where a plug was never put in my tire... (frustrated to say the least, because I drove 6 hours on a tire that I thought was fixed with 3 children). They fixed my tire, when it was over and done with they gave me a piece of mind like none other. Thank you to the manager and staff for excellent customer service!! read more

The Big O Tires in Holister,MO has saved my butt twice in one year now. We were leaving Holister to return to Kansas City. And, of course noticed on of our tires going low. Took it directly to Big O Tires and they fixed the leak immediatley, back on the road in minutes. Last week, we saw a 1" by 4" board on the road going to Branson, MO. Car to my right and could not miss it by going to my left and ran over the board which had nails standing up on both ends. Both the front and back left ties hit the board. Within a minutes he air pressure lights came on. This was at 5:00pm and we were about 15 miles from Big O Tires. Should mention that Wal-Mart turned us down. So, I called and told Big O Tires that we were going to try and make it to them. And, we make it. Both tires still doing low. We went for a walk and visited a few stores. When we got back both the tires were fix and back on. As Wade was the manager during both incidents, I can assure you that he was the only reason I received such outstanding service. In fact he even helped fix and put the tires back on. Bit O Tires of Hollister, MO you should be so proud of Wade as he literately make Big O Tires look outstanding. He is certainly a credit to himself and certainly a credit to you sore. The other employees were just a friendly and helpful as Wade. I am sure you take care of you people, But trust me, you don't want to lose any of your Hollister, MO team. read more
