Brought in a car for alignment schedule an a appointment on 10/26/24 2:00. Called at 4:00 to see if it was ready, they said oh yeah we will put it on the rack right now, calls me at 5:00 hey we can't to alignment we are busy we can do it the next day. I guess appointments are useless now a days Next day calls me a trail arm is bent, I picked up the car replaced the part brought the car back and there telling me I didn't replace the part, I told them I did and they refused to do alignment in the rear cause they assumed I was lying. Came to pick it up said take your business elsewhere where with your wrecked cars. Car wasn't even in a wreck even if it was not his concern. I said I'll be leaving a bad review and he said " great your can join that list" Clearly they don't care about there customers. Mortal to the story is these guys are a bunch of clowns and i would highly advise go to a plaza tires instead. As I was writing this review at my business already he drove down to my shop came to my car window and said to step out and wanted me to fight him, cops are called on him at the moment. This place is the worst for safety inspections and always finds something wrong but gives you no options for repairs. Most unfair pricing and keeping you in the loop with other options including taking your vehicle elsewhere to get another opinion and cost estimate worst customer service i have ever encountered. Still waiting for that promised call from the manager who doesn't work in this part of the country. Don't give them your patronage if you expect truthfulness. I admit I was angry & upset with the treatment I was receiving. No empathy. Patronizing. Dismissive. Good thing their pass-the-buck disrespect was out of earshot to my 90 year old mother in the waiting room. All in all, sorry to report their revolting customer service. read more

I have a Honda CRV. Went in for inspection. Big O failed the state inspection based on a leaking power steering rack (right side at the boot), saying it was dripping power steering fluid. The boot on that side was oily from a recent VTEC seal faiure in which oil was slinged all over the right side of the engine including the power steering rack. I cleaned the boot thoroughly with degreaser and power washer. I found there were no leaks or breaks on the boot, nor on either end where it is attached. I returned the same day (without an appointment) to have them inspect the condition of the boot to clear my (improperly) failed state inspection and they wouldn't look at it and told me to make an appointment. The boot is easily viewed at the inner wheel well with the wheel turned. The inspector would not take literally one minute to inspect and clear the failed inspection. Big O failed by mis-diagnosing the problem which could have cost me $1,500.00 dollars or more to fix, and yet still had the audacity to require me to return another day to inspect the boot to clear the inspection, something that would have taken no time or effort. So much for customer service. I cannot recommend Big O Tires. read more

Scammers! If you read all the reviews here you will see. Went in for an inspection and they failed me saying that my ball joints were bad on both sides quoting me nearly $700 dollars to fix. Told them I had just had everything checked on my jeep and that I was going to take it to my dealership to check they got very nervous and defensive. The inspector's name was Mike Murphy and he has been named in previous reviews here on yelp as being a liar. Don't use these guys. read more

First of all I've used them in the past with no problem. Went in for vehicle inspection. The new girl at the counter called me back, told me what needed to be fixed and quoted me 340.00. However when I called back she informed me that she figured the Labor wrong and it would be 440.00 She then said since it was her mistake that she would take an hour of labor off the total . I asked how much that would be. She again said 440.00 I called 2 other shops for a quote on the job and both were about 325.00. I told her to forget it and I would be by to pick my truck up. This was about 1:30 pm. I went to pick it up at 5:00 pm and it was still in the shop. I had to wait an addition 30 minutes for them to fill out paperwork and pull my truck out. I checked on the work order and found the extra $ 100.00 was for a front end alignment that she never mentioned to me. After using them successfully for the last 4 years, she burnt that bridge. Will never go back. The new girl had no business sense of customer relations experience. read more

Bought oversized tires for our truck, they over inflated by 15 psi. Used the vehicle specs instead of the tire specs. Got tires rotated today and inflated to the max tire psi which was 5 over by the time I got home and 10 over what I had when I got there. Not the most friendly, but not the worst. My appointment stayed on time. I'd recommend on price for my tires, but feel there are better tire shops in the area. read more

I have a 2008 ford f-250 and I went and got my rear tires replaced, on the drive home I felt the ride to be uneven and slightly bouncy, as I got to my home I come out and inspected the new tires, this big o tires put 2 different size tires on my truck, how stupid and in caring do you have to be to make such a mistake this big o tires has some of the worse working employees that I have ever seen they do not care about anyone and their vehicles. DO NOT GO HERE it's worth it to make the drive to a different big o tire trust me. read more

I requested to better attach our front number that had snapped off in slight accident/bump. Tod looked it over and replaced by duct tape with professional looking screws and showed me how to remove the old tape gook. He had to cut a few small pieces to make it all flush and professional looking and his few minutes of work saved me endless hours of bad fixing. Then went to O'Reilly and had snap bolts replaced with another kind person understanding my need to save costs at this time. Continue to return to Big O tires for our car service. read more

Dishonest! Do not do business with these guys. After they put a front tire on for me, Mike told me I needed new struts and a camber arm for about $1,300. I took car for a second opinion and they said i didnt need all that. I'm glad I didn't trust Mike. I will never do business with them again. read more

Went in 1 day bought 3 new tires for my aftermarket rims. While removing 1 of my tires they broke 1 of my lug nuts. Out of the 3 tires 2 refused to stay aired. Came back in the next day showed them 1 of the tires had bubble and started to ripple. They claim it was caused by my rims. I disagreed and asked for my $ back so I can go elsewhere. They instantly called the police to have me escorted from the premises. After agreeing with me that 2 of the tires were apparently bad. He(Mel Atterberry)agreed to give my $ back for 2 tires not all 3. Then (right in front of the police) said I change my mind he ain't getting nothing and I was asked to leave. I came in for an oil change. They informed me they used A different brand of oil that I typically use. Said they could order in my brand, but told me that it would cost over $100 just for the oil change with my brand. The main reason I ended up here was because my normal place was booked out over a week and I needed the oil change much earlier. They did tell me if I purchased my own oil and filter they would use it and charge me a fee for the change, which I thought was acceptable. I wouldn't normally come here simply because I have a normal shop I use, but in a pinch, I am pissed at the level of service. Edit: got home to find that they didn't fill my oil. Left it 2 quarts low. . So, 1 Star and never return. read more

WOMEN BEWARE!!! Went to get oil change, tire rotation and brakes checked. I bought 4 tires from a competitor. I ruined one tire by hitting something in the road and bought a replacement from big o tire of Nixa Last year. When I took my car in today for routine oil change, tire rotation and brake checked the man refused. He said I needed to buy 3 tires that matched the one tire I bought at big o tires and will not be rotating them nor brake check. Women beware!! The three other tires are only 3 months older than the one I replaced from big o tire. I guess that's one way of selling their tires. I won't be back. read more

I enjoy each visit here. Sometimes I feel the wait could be a bit shorter but they always get the job done and I have never had to return because a tech messed up my tires, like at Walmart. I never feel pressured to upgrade or buy additional stuff, They give me a range of prices and tire types and so far both of our vehicles are doing great after 3 years. Services I get done here. 1. Less than 300 miles after a rotation at the Nixa, MO store a wheel fell off and destroyed itself. I had to have my vehicle towed to nearest facility which was my regular mechanic. I complained and was told if I had towed it to them it would be taken care of due to their insurance but otherwise basically too bad. I can not recommend them and will buy future tires at Discount Tire in Springfield. I have purchased 5 full sets of tires from Big O but we are done. read more

I have purchased tires from this company for the past 10 years for 6 different vehicles. The first 5 years was great customer service. The past 5 yrs. the customer service is not good. Every time my daughter or I go have tires rotated there is always an issue of a wrong appt. time or they can't find our car in the website where we bought the tires. I end up having to get papers out of glovebox. No big deal if it only happened once or twice. Today I went in and I had an appt. for 8 a.m. and the guy told me it was at 9 a.m. I went there personally on Sat. to make the appt. because the website it always incorrect with open appt. times and they never call you back to confirm. There has been other disturbing things I have observed when waiting on my vehicle that confirms the incompetence of two of these men that has worked there for a long time. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, the guys offered me a free 22 point inspection and a complimentary Alignment check. During the tire rotation they noticed I had some irregular wear to my rear tires, and made the suggestion that I should probably rotate my tires a little more often.... Quite frankly I was embarrassed, not because they educated me, but because I knew it all along considering I had been driving on them for 60,000 miles, and now my tires were damaged. Because of their professionalism I chose to spend another $500 and purchased a new set of tires. Kudos to The Nixa Team! read more

I decided to go to big o due to wanted larger tirers for jeep. Online their website their prices looked good and competitive 1221.13, so I went there to buy and have installed 5 bfgoodrich all terrain t/a tires. When I got there they told me it would cost 1785.41 I told them I was looking for something closer to 1300. They had marked up each tire by 66 dollars and added their extended warranty which they didn't even ask me to.differance of 564.28 this represents a 46% mark up. This company cannot be trust, is clearly dishonest and I will never have service done there. Bunch of liars, cheats and thieves! read more

This place was terrible! As a woman I feel they really tried to take advantage. They told me I needed new calipers and it would be over $400. I left very angry and took it to the dealership the next day. They assured me the calipers were fine and that it was just the pins needed replacing. Less then 1/4 of what they wanted to charge me. this place is horrible! wanna stand around and waste your time, then come here. Also the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Nobody has put a toilet brush to those in months easily. I stopped in here today for a headlight out. they had a lift open. an hour later I hear them on the phone asking where their headlight is. They didn't have the part, an hour had passed and they didn't even know when they were getting it. I CAME IN FOR A HEADLIGHT, THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY JOB. Wasted an hour and I still don't have a working headlight. Also the older service adviser rolled his eyes at me when I told him I had to leave bc I had already been there an hour and I had to get back to work. DON'T GO TO BIG O TIRES. read more

My wife took her vehicle to have an oil change, tire rotation and vehicle inspection. Got the oil change and tire rotation but they didn't have inspection stickers. She was off that day and the next day started hearing noises and a vibration in her gas pedal. Worsened at higher speeds and on day two was getting worse. Took the vehicle in for the noise and vibration & inspection to another shop and found: ONLY THE RIGHT REAR LUG NUTS WERE TIGHTENED. ALL OTHER THREE TIRE LUG NUTS WERE ONLY HAND TIGHTENED. I went to complain and the desk guy didn't seem to concerned. Said that we should have brought it back there for the noise and vibration. They will never see our business again. Was in the Nixa area and stopped by this Big O Tire store for my annual Missouri State Inspection. I take care of my cars and know if anything is wrong - and my Camry was fine. After a while they called me to the counter and said,"Good news your car passed inspection, but your front struts are leaking and need to be replaced for $752". We looked at the car together and I saw no sign of a leak so the tech wiped his finger on the area and showed it to me - bone dry. I said thanks, but no thanks. When I said no to the repair they changed their mind failed my car for the inspection (said they misspoke before) . After sharing my thoughts on the matter I paid the $12 bucks and drove to another Licensed Inspection Station. They passed the car and said the struts were fine - didn't need replacing. Fortunately it only cost me an extra $12 bucks for the second inspection. In my opinion, this Big O location was trying to rip me off Big Time! read more
