That last point is huge for me, and a big part of why I keep coming. Any woman who has tried to go to any car servicing has surely experienced that before, and not once has anyone at Pinegar talked to me like that. They've also never tried to upsell me on services, always explained to me why they do things, and they're always nice. Also, being able to drive my car straight into the garage, hand off my keys, and walk 10 feet into the waiting room, super appreciated by me, I have a disability and not having to walk and stand in line, it's very helpful. I drive out from Springfield every time because I know they're gonna treat me and my car well.

I was billed for work involving my vehicle, including charges to my warranty, and **work was performed that I did not authorize**\. It took **five separate visits** before the underlying issue was addressed\. On my **fourth visit**, I was specifically assured that my vehicle was **safe to drive**\. I trusted that professional assessment and continued driving the vehicle, including having my children with me\. On my **fifth visit, less than 24 hours later**, I was told that the vehicle was **not safe to drive**\. Thank God nothing happened while my children were in that vehicle\. That change in assessment is extremely concerning\. If the vehicle was not safe to drive, why was I assured less than 24 hours earlier that it was safe? I was also told by the dealership's new car sales manager that, **"Sometimes we have to throw parts at it until we figure out what's wrong with it\."** That statement, particularly in light of the number of visits and the work performed on my vehicle, did not give me confidence that the problem was being properly diagnosed or repaired\. When I questioned why it had taken five visits to resolve the issue, I was met with raised voices rather than a professional explanation\. I also questioned the additional work and requested that the dealership take responsibility for having the resulting issues properly inspected and repaired\. That request was refused\. I am now having to seek an **independent inspection and investigation to determine the full extent of the damage and what repairs may be necessary**\. Customers should be able to trust that work performed on their vehicles has been clearly explained, properly authorized, and completed correctly\. They should also be able to question charges, repairs, and safety concerns without being spoken to disrespectfully\. I strongly recommend that anyone using this service department **document every interaction, verify exactly what work has been authorized, and carefully review all charges and warranty claims**\. This was not simply a disagreement over a repair\. It was a serious breakdown in communication, authorization, diagnosis, customer service, and accountability\. Most importantly, I was given conflicting information about whether my vehicle was safe to drive, and that is something I cannot take lightly when my children are involved\.

On 4/30 we went to…read morefind a different car thanks to Mother Nature's hailstorm rampage on 4/28 as many others experienced! It took out our former vehicle quite well, sarcastically speaking of course! Well we had a great salesman named Cody G. who was very kind, patient & professional! He found this beautiful vehicle a red 2023 GMC Terrain. Through our lengthy visit we finally signed all the paperwork & drove out in our new vehicle. Well here is the part that threw us for a loop. As basically a newby to the car buying process there were not enough questions asked on our part unfortunately. After being brought to our attention, I asked if the sales tax was included in the purchase price and unfortunately it was not. Well I went off the deep end as to the amount and being on an extremely tight budget we had no way to pay it. I felt beyond betrayed as I felt that this information should have been shared with us. Due to this experience I wrote my original scathing review. My review was seen by the dealership as they brought in a Customer Service Relationship Manager by the name of Andrew Snyder. To keep the story in an abbreviated manner there were many calls back and forth. So between us and the dealership who was very determined to repair this relationship and a deal was struck. We were given some assistance to help pay the sales tax as we absolutely had no $ to make it happen. The reason for the help is due to my husband who is 100% disabled & on SSDI as well as myself who is also on SSDI & only working very PT hours. So Andrew and others went above and beyond and went to the mat with the owner and made a miracle happen to help us keep this beautiful . So we are thoroughly pleased and grateful for the help we were given. So a BIG shout out to Andrew first and foremost along with others to truly repair this relationship. So to wrap this up, Andrew's title as a CS Relationship Manager is a very well deserved title. Thanks to all who played a part in our experience. I think it was a learning experience for all. So KUDOS again to Reliable Chevrolet

My 2016 Chevrolet Equinox started pouring gas out all over the road so someone waved me down. I had…read moremy vehicle taken to a Meineke repair center at first. Because it was just 14 days outside of the 10-year / 150,000 mi warranty, I was told to ask for a Goodwill discount from GM. My vehicle only had 53,000 mi on it so was far under the 150,000 mi and then for it to just be 14 days outside of the warranty when there was a manufacturer issue that led to a TPM because they installed the fuel hose underneath the gas tank, which not only makes it more expensive to repair because they have to take out the entire gas tank to replace a hose, but it wears a hole in the hose. They were aware of this issue and had it notify people. So mine was just 14 days out and they said when I talk to them that they would do a goodwill discount but I would need to have it taken to a Chevrolet or GM repair center so that they can make sure that was the issue. So I had it towed to the "Reliable Chevrolet". They said that they were busy so they would work it in whenever they had an opening but it might be until a week later that they could work on it. So I called back a week later to see what the status was. They couldn't find my vehicle. They never bothered to register it in their system despite knowing it was coming and the tow company giving them the keys to the vehicle and it being on their lot. After denying they had it for a while, they finally found it. So they do the diagnostic and charge me like $200 for that but said it would go towards the cost of repairs, which was to be covered by the GM Goodwill discount. GM says that they were going to call once the diagnostic was done. Waited over 24 hours and they still hadn't called. Finally, they do call and say they're doing $0 coverage and their estimate was $400 more than Meineke was. They offer to knock the price down $200 if I get the repair there, but they won't let me take my car without paying their $200 diagnostic fee. Meineke didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee because they found the problem so fast but they didn't charge me anything for it. So they tell me it's going to be about $700 with the discount and then send me the forms to sign to authorize it, but the form show $880. They charged some $95 shop fee as well. They agreed to waive that, but then don't update the estimate to show that they were actually going to delete it. They have basically guaranteed I am never going to buy a Chevrolet again, any GM, and I'm certainly never taking it back to repair at any location of theirs ever. Update: watch them pretend to care in the comments but they did absolutely nothing to actually help fix the issue. They're extremely disingenuous and saying that only to make others seeing the reviews think they care. They don't.

I spent nearly three weeks in constant contact with a sales rep named Ace, waiting for a Subaru Outback Limited to arrive. I explicitly told him what I wanted, and he promised me-multiple times -that he would notify me the second it landed so could buy it. Because I trusted his word, I spent three weeks paying out of pocket to Uber to work every single day, just waiting on this car. I called at 10:30 AM today to check in yet again, only to find out it arrived yesterday and wasn't even on the floor yet. I rushed over and was there by noon, only to find out they were letting someone else look at it. Even though these people had put zero money down and filled out zero paperwork, the used car manager, Joey, refused to let me buy the vehicle. He chose to sell the car right out from under me to a walk-in, completely violating the agreement and disregarding the three weeks of loyalty, patience, and constant communication I put in. Ace completely lied to me, and Joey showed that this management team has zero ethics, zero accountability, and treats people like absolute garbage. They do not care about you, your time, or your situation-they only care about a quick buck. Go literally anywhere else in Missouri if you want to be treated with basic human decency. They are completely untrustworthy.

I cannot recommend this dealership's service department based on my experience…read more My vehicle was in their possession for over three weeks for a warranty-related repair, and the entire process was handled poorly from start to finish. During that time, I was repeatedly given different explanations for the source of a coolant leak. At various points, I was told the leak was coming from "everywhere," and each update seemed to bring a different diagnosis. Near the end of the process, I was suddenly told the head gasket was bad, despite that not being part of the previous diagnoses. After weeks without answers, I had very little confidence that anyone actually knew what was wrong with the vehicle. One of the most frustrating parts was the dealership's handling of the warranty claim. They attempted to have me authorize approximately $1,000 in additional testing that the warranty company had not requested. When I contacted other shops, I was quoted a fraction of that amount for similar diagnostic work. When I asked for a detailed explanation of why the testing would cost $1,000, I never received a clear answer. The responses I received were vague and left me with more questions than answers. Meanwhile, the warranty company was repeatedly asking for documentation and photos needed to move the claim forward. The dealership would often go a week or more without contacting the warranty company, allowing authorization links and requests to expire before any action was taken. The only time there seemed to be movement on the claim was when I personally called for updates. Eventually, I received a call where I was essentially told they were giving up on the vehicle and the warranty process altogether. At that point, they demanded the return of the loaner vehicle within 24 hours with virtually no warning and stated that if it was not returned, the police would be contacted. While they did provide a loaner vehicle, it eventually felt less like customer service and more like leverage. My vehicle sat at the dealership for weeks with little progress while I was repeatedly told to be patient. Later, I was made to feel as though the loaner itself was a favor I should be grateful for, despite the fact that my own vehicle remained unrepaired and stuck in their possession. Our service advisor throughout this entire experience was Jonathan, and all of our communication went through him. What makes this experience even more disappointing is what happened afterward. I transferred the vehicle to another dealership for a second opinion. That dealership worked directly with the warranty company, diagnosed the problem, repaired the thermostat housing leak, addressed an additional issue, and had the vehicle repaired and returned to me within approximately four days. The warranty process that seemed impossible at the first dealership was completed quickly once the vehicle was in the hands of a service department willing to communicate and work with the warranty company. The difference between the two experiences was night and day. After weeks of changing diagnoses, poor communication, unexplained costs, delays with the warranty company, and hostile interactions, I have no confidence in the quality of the service department's diagnostic process. Personally, I would not trust their assessment of a vehicle issue, and I would not return for future service. What should have been a repair became more than a month of unnecessary stress, delays, and frustration.
