I'm surprised I haven't left a review already for this place. I have a 1997 Saturn with over 200k miles on it, and this shop has been taking care of it for three or four years now. Not only do they work on older cars like mine, but their service is fantastic. They go the extra mile to get a part, and above and beyond to find a solution that works with my budget and schedule. They don't just take care of my tires, they went above and beyond by installing my custom seat covers and even reconnected my amplifier. Wow, all for under $200. Absolutely amazing to me. Big O Woodland. Great service, expertise and experience. They discovered that my two front tires were coming apart and causing a shimmy at low speeds. They had 33k miles on them and still had decent tread but the tires were ballooning out on the inner and outer sides. Could have been dangerous if they didn't catch that. Laziest and most unprofessional staff I have ever had the unfortunate chance to experience. Two visits in a row, months apart, they failed to do the job I hired them to do, and both times they tried to get me to accept the car without getting the work done. The car has been required to stay overnight since they failed to do the job while they had it all day. The shop owners should be embarrassed, but I find that sloth is rarely anything but overjoyed by cheating people of their money and time. They took my vehicle right in, and completed an oil change, offered to complete a tire rotation and checked all fluids. The waiting room was comfortable, the customer service was 5 star. I never heard back from him so I went to send this reply to him, but for some reason it isn't working so here it is. First of all - I would recommend any other tire store in town! My reply to Josh is below: Josh, As you saw in my previous review, I am not happy with your tech's and their inability to balance my truck tires. 2 times and they still can't get them balanced. I am not a mechanic, but I have owned vehicles since 1973. I have seen many tires balanced in all those years. Why don't your tech's spin the tires, add weight as needed and then re-spin it again to make sure it's balanced? They did the spin, added some weight, then put the tire back on the truck. One or two of these tires are still not balanced. I decided to come in for an estimate on brakes, there was a lady working there, she was typing up something, and there was another worker there, he was helping a customer. When the lady finished her typing (Which took 4 or 5 minutes), she helped the guy in front of me. After 7 or 8 minutes, he was done, but then they stated a conversation about her son being in the army. I kept standing there waiting to get helped, she looked at me several times but ignored me and kept talking to that other guy for 5 more minutes. THAT is terrible customer service! TERRIBLE! Some of us don't have all day to stand around. Finally, she helped me - however, it took her 20 minutes to type up an estimate for a brake job - that is ridiculous. I received my quote and departed. I stopped at 3 other tire shops to get quotes - Big O tires was the most expensive of all 4. I think I am done dealing with Big O tires. read more

Been going for years and finally walked out today and got my new tires down the street. The person at the front desk is rude, gives looks and I got sick of it. This was not the first time experiencing this with her and I am over it. I told them I had a leak. My car has been going down every day and their own guy told me it was significant. I got lots of attitude from the front desk person telling me they couldn't find a leak, who told me that, condescending looks. I am grown I don't have time for this nonsense. She asked if I wanted them to look at it again with MAJOR attitude. Turns out, they tested the wrong tire. That was not her mistake, but the attitude was. The looks and attitude are not okay. Will NOT go back. I got four new tires down the street 15 minutes later without the attitude. Treat your customers respect instead of the juvenile behavior. read more

I needed a new battery for my Prius, and the AAA agent who came to jump start my battery recommended Big O Tires. Upon giving them a call, the employee told me they could replace the battery and that I could come in right away. No appointment needed. Score! I showed up and they seemed very busy, but the employee I talked to on the phone helped get everything started. They replaced my battery (Prius batteries are $200+), and the cost for the service was around $50. It was very reasonable. I found an online coupon for $50 off a service of $200 or more that they honored. They have a Keurig with complimentary coffee and several chairs in the lobby if you need to hang out and wait. There is also a bathroom. My kids and I sat on the fake grass across the parking lot (in front of SpeeDee-Midas) and ate our snacks while waiting. It all went quickly and they were very professional. I needed to replace my tire and this establishment was very close to my employer. They offered transportation back to my employer due to an extended wait time. This establishment was very pricey compared to similar tire services. I had called multiple places for pricing. This was the only place that was able to get the tire I needed. Jenna was very affable. However, I would feel more comfortable if she wore a face covering. The waiting room is not set up for 6 feet separation. Another customer decided to sit directly next to me when there were other seats available. **This is in no way a dig at this Big O - despite a mistake being made this location does great work** A lot can be said about an individual or business that admits to a mistake and does what's needed to make things right. Here's my story and how I appreciate the work from the management at this Big O. I got an oil change and tire rotation done at this Big O on a Friday afternoon. I've been to this location several times for service on both my vehicles because they do great work and it's close to my office (although I live in Natomas). I left having no issues. The next morning, after my wife took the car that had its oil changed on some errands, I noticed a big puddle of fresh oil on my garage floor. Oh no! While on her errands, I had my wife also see if oil was leaking...it was. I grew irritated because we had plans but now they'd be put on hold until this issue could be resolved. I called Taylor at Big O, explained the situation, and he said 'bring it in to me ASAP and I'll get it taken care of'. I drove the 30 minutes from my home to the shop, frustrated, but as soon as I pulled up and walked in Taylor was already sending a worker to take the car back. 5-10 minutes went by when Taylor came to me and explained that they'd need to remove the under casing of the car to find what the problem or mistake may be and asked if I could sit tight for about 30 minutes. I didn't really have a choice as I needed the car fixed because it's my daily driver. Another 20 minutes went by and the manager came up and said they found the issue, it was a tech's mistake from the day before in resealing the filter, and he sincerely apologized. What he said they'd be doing is redraining the oil, refilling it (essentially giving me a new oil change), making sure everything is sealed correctly and washing the under casing of any excess oil from the leak. Despite having to take 1.5 hours out of my day to get this issue fixed (very frustrated at the start), the way Taylor and the manager took responsibility and explained everything was really appreciated. I left in a much better mood knowing that all was good, and knowing I can trust this Big O with my vehicles. read more

I serviced my car here on 5.13.21, thinking I would save myself a trip to Maita in Sacramento (where I normally do the maintenance on my car) and perhaps a few bucks, pero como dicen lo barato sale caro (Cheap things always turn out expensive) Unfortunately, I was very wrong :( I remember paying more here than I do at the dealership, only to find out that they did a bad job, said nothing and sent me on my way anyway. I've gone to this Big O Tires for a few years now, and continue going because of their amazing service and honesty. I first found them when I was living in Woodland and had a nail in one of my tires that I had purchased at another Big O Tires. Even though they didn't have me on file since it was in another store, they honored the repair and fixed my issue easily and under its normal warranty. I started using them for regular oil changes due to their fair prices and regular discounts and they're always honest and up front with me. Taylor in particular is amazing and super genuine. They really care about their community and never try to upcharge. As someone who isn't as knowledgeable about cars I'm always wary of any extra fees or costs but these guys keep things consistent and fair. It's so hard to find a good mechanic you can trust, and I've had multiple positive experiences that keep me coming back to this location despite moving back to Sacramento. He took the time out with a mechanic to drive to Richmond from the Woodland area to visit my in-laws and took care to re-attach the coolant hose that got unattached as well as the improperly installed engine case guard. I've had good experiences with Big O' in the Bay Area and saw this area had great ratings from the Woodland community. This place seems to be under new management or something. Customer service had totally changed. I came in with a very low tire and needed to get it checked. It was 9am and they said they couldn't look at it until 3. They didn't even offer to put air in it so I didn't ruin my rim. I drove half a mile down the road to Les Schwab and they had the tire with a nail in it fixed and I was back on the road in 40 min. I am sad because Big O has always been my go to. I get all of my oil changes, tires, rotations, alignments, everything there. I also try to recommend them whenever I can. I guess all good things eventually come to an end.
