This is my goto place for car services. They are excellent and explain completely all their recommendations before they do the work. I had an engine rebuilt here after an unfortunate incident on I-95 (pothole during Hi-way construction). Ran like new and all my subsequent service has been equally outstanding. Had an issue with my Audi Q5 this morning and I stopped by to see if they could help. They were very helpful and able to check the issue and resolved it in a matter of minutes. I am so thankful that it was not serious but those "bells and whistles " can be alarming and they eased my anxiety about it. They also didn't charge me anything . Came here for an oil change and also new tires. It was recommended to me by a friend. They are very friendly and also prompt at scheduling. They helped me install my car seat for my baby free if charge. They were so knowledgeable and I felt so relieved going here to make sure my seat was installed appropriately! After some unprofessional experiences at a dealership we decided to try out this local independent shop. We had inspection/emissions and an oil change done. Big Oak Citgo is simply the ONLY car service place in Lower Bucks. Every experience I have had with them has been flawless but my last two experiences were particularly five star. My brother was visiting from Atlanta over Thanksgiving. He noticed a strange sound in the car and was nervous about driving home without having it checked out. Big Oak not only fit him in at the last minute but did a full diagnostic and determined that the engine just wasn't used to our cold weather. They could have told me it needed major repairs but they didn't. Totally honest people!!!! Last month I brought my car in for new tires. They recommended I order the tires online and have them delivered directly. I did so but the tire place sent the wrong tires. Big Oak refused the delivery and subsequently the tire place sent the right tires. Big Oak handled the situation perfectly. On top of it all, everyone is incredibly nice and friendly to deal with! read more

Stopped in today with a slow leak in my tire. Was told $20.09 (odd but ok) They took the car in the bay and about 10 minutes later I was told the tire was fine and they replaced a bad part on the valve stem and there was no charge. Very happy the tire is ok and these guys are as honest as they come. read more

I came in today, on New Year's Eve, with a flat tire which I was hoping could just be repaired since I've only had my car 2 months. They found the damage/small tear and it was on the side of the tire so it had to be replaced and not just repaired. Since they didn't have the tire I needed, it's a holiday, and they learned I'd need to drive an hour and twenty min. back to NJ after the holiday, Mike went out of his way and above and beyond to help me. He spent time calling several places in the area to find one that had a tire in stock or one that could be ordered & delivered quickly and installed today or tomorrow. He did all this knowing he had to send me to another place and wasn't going to benefit financially from it. He found a place that could install a tire today, got the estimate from them & let them know when I'd be heading over there. I couldn't believe how helpful he & his wife (the owners) were. I will most certainly go back here for any service needs I may have in the future when I'm in the area. They were super honest & helpful & really went the extra mile to help me today. After you have the opportunity to experience the many other auto repair shops in the area you will realize that they are all more similar than different. Usually the staff you deal with are preoccupied with their own issues and the problems that you are facing with your car are a distraction to them. Big Oak Citgo is a world apart in the land of auto repair. This is one of the two or three great shops I have ever encountered. Your problem is their first concern and Annie and Mike and their crew will fix it for you, very competently and at a reasonable price. They are honest and friendly and the whole thing came out much cheaper than the previous place I had been taking the car to (as well as the dealership). So I was never really a huge fan of this little gas station until one day where I needed some work done on my car. Long story short the splashguard ended up getting unhinged or just loose from its connective properties and was dragging against the pavement everywhere I drove. So I pulled up and asked them if they could take care of it and surprisingly they did and more importantly they did it for an amazing cost such a great price I couldn't of gotten that deal anywhere else and that's why I'm giving them five stars. I mean yeah the gas is usually like $.05-$.10 more expensive than Wawa's which is usually the cheapest but at the same time it's right near three schools so there's a good energy and more importantly it's right next to my house practically so it's the closest gas station I live near thats comfortable. read more

I have been using to this service station for a few years now. However, the last 4 visits there have been deceptive in the way they do business. Please let me explain. My car takes synthetic motor oil and if you are not familiar with that type of oil it is much clearer in color and not as thick as regular oils. After each oil change when I return home my husband always checks the oil to make sure that the proper amount was put in. Once from a car dealer they only put in 2 quarts of oil and I drove around shopping before returning home. It has now become a habit with him. Last oil change I had there when I drove home he checked the oil and it was dark and not of a soupy consistency. He presumed they either used regular oil or did not change the oil filter. I meant to phone them and or drive back to question it but honestly had forgotten. More recently when I made an appointment for another oil change I stated the oil and weight that was recommended for my car. I was informed that it wasn't a problem because they always had it in stock. Upon arriving there I reiterated the specific oil that I asked be put in my car. I was told they had it. My vehicle takes 4 1/2 quarts of oil. I asked for the unused 1/2 quart to have should my car burn a little oil I would be able to top it off. I was paying for the 5 quarts anyway. All of a sudden they were out of it and ordered it in from the supplier they use. That took an additional hour of my time since I was waiting for what should have been a 15-minute job. Upon completion of the work as I was paying I asked for the unused 1/2 quart again. He asked the mechanic who said he put all 5 quarts of oil in the car. When I returned home I told my husband what had transpired. He immediately went to the car and checked the oil level. First, they used the proper oil (clearer and soupy as mentioned above) the oil was a smidgen above the max fill line. He phoned the dealership where we bought the car and spoke with a mechanic, not a service writer. If anyone knows about the quantity of oil required by the manufacture for each specific engine then one also knows to NEVER over fill it. By over filling, it can cause major engine damage! As we think back there is another incident that occurred there approximately a year before the two I mentioned here. We have no intention of EVER using them again! Nor would we recommend them to anyone. Please be careful, your automobile cost a lot of hard earned money to only be deceived by this service station. I don't like paying for something that I am not getting. I wouldn't pay for premium fuel and pump in regular. I hope people heed this advice and avoid getting duped by unscrupulous people. read more
