A little…read moreover a year ago at this point, I was hired at advanced sign contractors and was told I would be trained on every machine I would need to use. Although I was trained, I was trained by Troy's (Troy is owner of company) 13 year old son. As one can assume, not the most comprehensive and thorough training was provided by this child. In my first 2 days, after minimal instruction, I was left alone and expected to have already learned the complex software and know how to operate the printers. Troy and his family and friends who run this company are extremely kind, however, it doesn't seem like they were properly prepared to train a new employee. I didn't even get training from an adult at any point in my 2 days of employment, only by the 13 year old son. Near the end of my second day, I was called into Troy's office where I was told that he believes I'm not fit for the job and that they would let me go. I was shocked. It was only my second day. And that same day I had been left alone for an hour and half while Troy and his family went to eat lunch. How can I be expected to run printers and software with no supervision or help on my second day?? It was extremely frustrating. Like I previously said, it's been over a year since I was hired here, and maybe since then they have changed how they train new employees. I have no complaints about the work they do, all of their work looks amazing, however I was extremely disappointed and frustrated about how they went about hiring a new employee.
