This organization is literally criminal and will incrementally charge you without providing you proofs of weighs nor will they respond to telephone or email. They sub contract out dumpsters across the nation while advertising as local services so what you may see is a local number or advertised as local but they are in Columbia, SC. The sub contractors are paid less than Red Box charges. Their sub contractor did over $500 damage to a brick wall at my house and Red Box stated they cannot do anything about it because it's a sub contractor. This organization will send you a terms of use agreement that enables them in their minds to bill you excessively. Their rates are over 200% the charges of local services. If it was possible to provide less than 1 x star I would. Right now pursuing legal action over their wall damage. read more

I ordered 1-2 dumpsters a month for the last 6 months-1 year. I could handle the missed deadlines, and having to call multiple times for ordering/return. However, I called to inquire about a removal and Crystal was incredibly short and rude- when I asked why I had to sign a service agreement for a return (it's usually only required for a delivery). Anyway, that was the last time I ever do business with that company. I'll gladly pay more to a competitor. read more

I own a small plumbing company based in miami beach where i have worked for over 22 Years. Rented a dumpster for a small job site over in Miami. We only needed the dumpster to put dirt in and take the same dirt out and put it back in the hole. The dumpster was 3/4 empty with small rocks and they said that it was 6 tons plus over. Well they made a mistake and/or one of their employees loaded extra stuff on a side job and charged me for it. They charged me over $735.00 on something that should have been less than $500.00. This kind of stuff happens all the time in Miami Florida. Be careful with this company they do not care whether you are happy or not. If someone does decide to hire them take pictures and have plenty of evidence of what is in their dumpster. Most likely even if you have evidence they still don't care. I would never use this company again and will make sure that all of my contacts are aware of how they do business. read more

I called on 11/2/19 to get a quote on a 20 cubic yard dumpster. Their customer rep quoted me a price of $525 for this size and said delivery would be on Monday, 11/4/19. The morning of the delivery, I got a phone call saying that the 20 cubic yard dumpster would now cost me $695 instead of the $525 that was originally quoted. However, they would deliver me a 10 cubic yard for the quote of $525. I asked to speak to a supervisor at this time to see what caused the issue in booking. She told me that the original quote was given for a 20 cubic yard for the 1st quoted price but they outsource their dumpsters and could not find it for that price. If they say it is a quote instead of an estimate they should be more upfront with their practices. In my opinion, it felt like a bait in switch scam to see if we would spend the extra $170. Poor business and customer service on their and the supervisors part. read more

This site seems to be an aggregator for people wanting dumpsters delivered to their home. You call them and they farm out the work to local hauling companies. My wife and I have used their services twice now with the following results. The first time we called, we asked for a twenty yard dumpster for a week. The dumpster arrived, was used, and picked up. Then came a charge on my wife's card for $75, supposedly for having the dumpster three days longer than contracted. It took time and many phone calls to locate the local driver and have him attest to the actual pickup date and get our charge reversed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we are using the service again and this time the dumpster arrived three days late, appears to be a 10 yard dumpster, and has dirt in it reducing its capacity. When my wife called to complain, she was basically blown off and told Big Red Box doesn't deal in anything smaller than 20 yard dumpsters. the problem with this service is that once they have your money and have farmed out the job to a local contractor, they don't follow up to see if the services received matched the services requested because that never helps the bottom line don't you know. You can be sure that we will never use their services again. read more

Big Red Box uses third party dumpster services and make money on top of their costs. Don't use BigRedBox because your cost will be twice as big as well. Not knowing this, I called and ordered a dumpster from them. I asked for the dumpster to be removed in 3 days, they did not come until 12 days later. They weight receipt came over month later showing weight date stamp 1 month and 9 days from the date of pick up and my credit card was charged another $65 for overweight. Where was this weight come from? However, they got a way to talk to the Sears credit card company and got my dispute denied. :( Big Red Box, Big Lesson Learned. read more

I used them for a job site. This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. The dumpster was 2 days late, dropped off after hours in the wrong location, and to top it all off the dumpster was filled with debris. Called and complained and was given 3 additional tons of weight for a total of 10 tons. I had hoped that the worst was over because I was already tired of doing business with this company. Needless to say it was not. I received an additional billing of 150 dollars because I overloaded the dumpster and exceeded the 20,000 lbs. I have been doing these types of jobs for a long time and I have never exceeded that type of weight. I work with a lot of contractors and I for one have and will continue to trash this company to whomever will listen. Terrible Terrible Terrible service. read more

I called to ask about renting a dumpster when I remodeled my kitchen. They told me exactly how much it would cost when the other company I called could only give me a much higher estimate. Do not use them. HORRIBLE! A lot of hidden fees. They charge you weeks to a month later without warning and refuse to provide documentation. I actually went through my credit card company and got everything resolved. They charged me 3 times for overage for 3 dumpsters. $395, $342 and $185. Each time without warning. They are SOOOO rude and they were yelling at me for questioning the charge, telling me its not their problem i can't weigh in tons. WHAT??? My credit company disputed the charges and demanded paperwork from them. Since they were not able to provide, I got the money back. This company is a scam. BE AWARE!!! read more

I have used BRB for years. Their service has always been first rate, on time, and more importantly my bills have ALWAYS been what was quoted to me with no surprises. I dealt with many companies before finding BRB and there always seemed to be extra charges for fuel, excess weight, etc. and the bill was seldom what I was quoted over the phone. I wish I had never rented a dumpster from Big Red Box SC in early winter. My roofer, my son, and I all were all told we could keep the dumpster as long as we needed it and there would be no extra charges to the initial fee of $570. They didn't tell me about the $10 per day penalty charge past 7 days or the fact they could make multiple charges on my credit card without telling me. When I received my credit card statement, they had charged another $550 plus other penalties. When I called to complain, they would not back down on most of their charges. My credit card company says I have to pay all the charges because they are protected by their service agreement. So don't believe what you are told, believe the service agreement and I'm renting from a local company next time. read more

TERRIBLE!!! This is by far the worst dumpster company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I ordered a dumpster with them Monday morning, was told it will be there that afternoon. Tuesday morning, still no dumpster. I was told it is en-route, 2 hours later, no dumpster. 5 Hours later, called back and was told it was delivered to the job site I was physically on. I informed them I was on the site and there was no dumpster. I needed it put into the street because the driveway was very small and the homeowner was at home and her car would be in the garage. Wednesday morning, showed up to an angry homeowner because the dumpster was put down at 6am in her driveway blocking her garage. Big Red Box failed to let the dumpster company know that we needed it in the street. The homeowner was late for work and my crew sat waiting for someone to move the dumpster because we were told we could not put anything in the dumpster before they moved it. I am a local contractor and work with many dumpster companies. I would NOT recommend Big Red Box. I had ordered a dumpster to be delivered for a weekend roofing project. I was charged the dumpster price, had signed a contract indicating the date of delivery, and thought i was all set until Big Red Box Dumpster Rentals did not communicate with its subcontractor in my local area and no dumpster was delivered. When I called Friday afternoon, the company was so disorganized i wasnt even given a reason why it didnt show up. At this point they could do nothing for me. I explained that a crew was showing up to work tomorrow and no dumpster on site was going to cost me hundreds of dollars. Sorry was their only recourse. i tried to find a replacement but it was too late. The new roof happened and all shingles lay on the ground. Monday I call to speak with a manager and a dumpster has now unknowingly been delivered. i explain everything and get offered 25 $ for their mistake. Unacceptable, in the end $50 was all they would give and forced their customer to bear the cost of their mistake. Now their is 23 squares of shingles that must be moved from ground to dumpster. read more
