The only thing I would say is that, they need to serve their beans hot and I would say it would be a 10 out of 10 if that were the case! Second time here and dined in this time! Loved the music and vibe - had a decent lunch crowd and man what amazing brisket! Brisket has that nice fall apart texture with Smokey nice flavor! So good it doesn't need bbq sauce that's just an added bonus! The bbq sauces are seriously fire and they have fun hot hot sauce up on the counter. Bacon green beans was a nice touch with the elote - perfect sides for the meat with a nice crunch soft piece of ranch toast! We were in the area and craving ribs and burger. We came in on Sunday to our surprise it was slow 4 ppl with us included and quiet, clean. My sister & her fiancé had each the ribs,side of Mac and cheese and street corn. They mention the ribs were tender falling off the bone, street corns were good with a hint of tang, mac and cheese needed some more flavor. My order was a Bacon Avocado burger with fries and side of street corn. Got to admit what drew me in was the desert but they were out of it. This is a great little place! They give lots of food. The brisket falls apart in your mouth. The ribs are great! We got the combo plates (hubby and I) and together had the brisket, half chicken, pulled pork, and spare ribs. All the meat was so good, and they have a variety of BBQ sauces on the table. I visited this BBQ restaurant recently and this was maybe my 3rd time visiting, and while the overall experience was decent, there were a few things that stood out. First, the loaded mac and cheese was alright, but definitely not homemade. The beef brisk is tender, but doesn't come with bbq sauce you have to make sure to grab some yourself. I notice the loaded Mac was more of a pre-made dish with toppings thrown on. It didn't have that rich, creamy, comforting texture you the flavors were solid, though nothing really wowed me. Customer service could also use a bit of work. The staff were polite but a little distant, the food was very warm and not a long wait at all. Overall, a good place if you're craving BBQ. read more

Came out to Oroville to see the dam and wanted to get lunch before heading back home to Sacramento. My mother was in the mood for bbq and I found this spot on Yelp. The interior was nice and clean, football on the tv's, and there weren't very many people eating. They had a varied menu which was bigger than I expected. I got the 2 meat plate with the brisket & ribs with tater tots and cornbread on the side. My husband got the Cowboy Burger minus the onion ring with fries. My parents shared a 3 meat plate with tri-tip, ribs and hot links with onion rings and coleslaw. The food was delicious and my husband liked his burger. The brisket and the ribs were very tender and everything tasted very well seasoned. My dad liked the Spicy Pineapple BBQ and their sweet bbq sauce was my favorite. The portions were generous and we had plenty of leftovers. I'd highly recommend stopping in and checking it out if you're passing through. read more

This is a nice find in Oroville! They are located in a big shopping center where FoodMax and Grocery outlet is located. ( off of Oro Dam Blvd). They reopened less than 3 weeks ago with new owners. The place is clean inside and well staffed. They offer free tea and sell sodas( no alcohol). I ordered the 1 item plate with 2 sides. The tri tip was moist and flavorfull. The coleslaw was wonderful and their mac and cheese was creamy (best mac and cheese i have ever had). I also got a side order of the street corn...well seasoned and yummy! I shared this plate between two of us and it was plenty of food...and leftovers! I can see ordering the ribs next time. Burgers looked good too! The staff is friendly and the order came out quickly. Me and my husband found this place while in town and decided to try it out for lunch. The salad bar veggies were rotten, the mushrooms were actually slimy. I had to spit it out into my napkin. The cornbread was old. Very dry and obviously had been made awhile ago. My husband said his side of beans had a horrible sour taste and he believed them to be rancid. We both left feeling honestly like we needed to vomit. Despite the almost $60 bill for just the 2 of us. We did not take our leftovers and left it all on the table. Cooked well. Unseasoned patty, but perfect when dipped in their sauces and homemade ranch. Pork belly tacos were pretty good. Crunchy pork belly topped with Cabbage and cilantro mix that made it so good and fresh. Nice creamy mild spicy sauce on top .The complaint was that most of the pork belly we got were black burnt on the sides and made the meat really dry. The tortilla also could've used some toasting/grill marks. It tasted like out of the bag, put under some heat to loosen it before it becomes cold again with no changes. Their homemade BBQ sauces.. Really disappointed because all of the sauces tasted almost identical. All sweet and tangy but it had a tiny hint of something different in each sauce. The spicy ones were sweeter than the sweet ones and not spicy at all. So no matter which bbq sauce you tried, it was like eating the same sauce but in a different tone of sweetness or tang. BBQ sauce is still good and enjoyable but gets boring. So when you're enjoying your many meats, you can't really change up the sauces for a different kick. Yes you can add hot sauces too but I wanted to enjoy the in house BBQ sauces because I was there for it. Not for other hot sauces made from popular brands. This place is amazing. Drove in from SoCal and found this gem searching for a good place to eat lunch. We definitely weren't disappointed. The service was great and super friendly. I got their three meat platter and everything was cooked perfectly. Some of the tastes were maybe 4/5 but the bbq sauces brought them back up to a 5/5. Each table had all the signature sauces, the restaurant was clean and well put together. They had the best mac and cheese I've had from a restaurant with maybe 1 exception. I want to give Trevor and Lucky as well as the staff a compliment on their service as well as their amazing food. And the butter cake!!! Soooo good. I reached out to cater my father's memorial and they were extraordinarily accommodating. The only small issue was that the hot links were supposed to be cut into small pieces because it was a small plate buffet. It makes a generally stand up gathering difficult to eat vs a formal dinner. So that's why the 4 stars vs 5. That said... there were zero complaints! In fact, as I predicted, every guest will be new patrons for Big Reds! Impressive establishment. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. I got the 2 meat combo with a butter cake and sprecher root beer and boy I must say I was pleasantly surprised by what my taste buds experienced. The cashier was very efficient and friendly and the decor was festive. Ok so while the brisket was flaky and fatty the way I like it, it was a bit on the dry side but everything after that was amazeballs.
