Burger was a beautiful hand padded perfectly cooked delicious masterpiece. This is a mom and Pop shop and these are exactly the type of places I like to find when I'm out of town. I have been to many barbecue places throughout the country and I always base my decisions off the pulled pork. The pulled pork was very flavorful. Very impressed with it the ribs excellent moist and tender excellent choices for barbecue sauce. I had the peppered barbecue sauce. tater tots, crispy and delicious coleslaw was very mild. Not a lot of flavor. I'm pretty excited about this place and will be trying some more meat combos. read more

Very good BBQ. the brisket hit the spot, they have a variety of sauces which made the meat juicy. Carolina sauce was good. Had the pastrami burger. The burger was cooked just right. It was juicy and the was also just the right consistency. I ordered with just the meat pickles and mustard and they had no issue making it that way. Fries were crispy and flavorful. Area was clean. So since Big Red's re-opened under new ownership ( super nice couple Lucky & Trevor), I have really enjoyed the food. I've ordered tri tip sandwich, brisket sandwich, rack of ribs, and a cheeseburger...no, not at the same time! They were all quite tasty, and would order any of them again. The food here is amazing. I had the Tri-Tip, which was so juicy and savory. It went great with the creamy Mac and cheese and potato salad. My partner had gotten the Beer Battered Onion Rings and let me take one. My only regret is not ordering more for myself. The staff is so welcoming and the restaurant is spotless. Run, don't walk to Big Red's BBQ! We stopped in on a rainy Saturday and had great BBQ and customer service. I'm gluten free and they were very helpful and careful with my order of brisket, delicious and enough for 4 meals! Two had tri-tip sandwiches and one hamburger. The only complaint was one wished her tri-tip was warm. Next time we'll make sure to ask them to heat it up, otherwise there were no complaints! read more

We got pulled pork sandwiches and they were delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, without being overly sauced. We got potato salad, which in my opinion, was bland, but the collards were awesome! We will definitely go back, I'm anxious to try their brisket. Very clean restaurant and service was very nice. Big Red's BBQ has quickly become my favorite place to eat in Oroville. The staff are always friendly and inviting and engaging and you can tell they really enjoy what they're doing, which is providing a great family atmosphere for fellowship and great food. The food is prepared by Pastor Trevor Smith and his wife Lucky, whom are both such warm and amazing people who treat you like family. They take pride in each meal they serve and they do a fantastic job. Personal favorites of mine are the loaded Mac and cheese with pulled pork and Lucky's butter cake. I have literally gone there three times in a day just for that cake! Out of this world! I have yet to have something there that I don't love. It's nice to be able to support local business and have a great experience with great friends and food.
