We were in the area and craving ribs and burger. We came in on Sunday to our surprise it was slow 4 ppl with us included and quiet, clean. My sister & her fiancé had each the ribs,side of Mac and cheese and street corn. They mention the ribs were tender falling off the bone, street corns were good with a hint of tang, mac and cheese needed some more flavor. My order was a Bacon Avocado burger with fries and side of street corn. Got to admit what drew me in was the desert but they were out of it. Overall costumer service was good, he answered our questions as best he could, we enjoyed our food. We will stop by when in town.

This is a great little place! They give lots of food. The brisket falls apart in your mouth. The ribs are great! We got the combo plates (hubby and I) and together had the brisket, half chicken, pulled pork, and spare ribs. All the meat was so good, and they have a variety of BBQ sauces on the table. The sides we got were cornbread, fries, and baked beans. I just wish this place was closer!

Really like this place. Just visiting the Dam and this place was easy access and brand new. Great food at a good price and I had leftovers too. Staff was extremely nice too

I visited this BBQ restaurant recently and this was maybe my 3rd time visiting, and while the overall experience was decent, there were a few things that stood out. First, the loaded mac and cheese was alright, but definitely not homemade. The beef brisk is tender, but doesn't come with bbq sauce you have to make sure to grab some yourself. I notice the loaded Mac was more of a pre-made dish with toppings thrown on. It didn't have that rich, creamy, comforting texture you the flavors were solid, though nothing really wowed me. Customer service could also use a bit of work. The staff were polite but a little distant, the food was very warm and not a long wait at all. Overall, a good place if you're craving BBQ.

We ordered the 3 meat bbq plate, which had the beef brisket, tri tip, and chicken. The chicken was kind of dry inside, but the brisket was delicious.

Came out to Oroville to see the dam and wanted to get lunch before heading back home to Sacramento. My mother was in the mood for bbq and I found this spot on Yelp. The interior was nice and clean, football on the tv's, and there weren't very many people eating. They had a varied menu which was bigger than I expected. I got the 2 meat plate with the brisket & ribs with tater tots and cornbread on the side. My husband got the Cowboy Burger minus the onion ring with fries. My parents shared a 3 meat plate with tri-tip, ribs and hot links with onion rings and coleslaw. The food was delicious and my husband liked his burger. The brisket and the ribs were very tender and everything tasted very well seasoned. My dad liked the Spicy Pineapple BBQ and their sweet bbq sauce was my favorite. The portions were generous and we had plenty of leftovers. I'd highly recommend stopping in and checking it out if you're passing through.

This is a nice find in Oroville! They are located in a big shopping center where FoodMax and Grocery outlet is located. ( off of Oro Dam Blvd). They reopened less than 3 weeks ago with new owners. The place is clean inside and well staffed. They offer free tea and sell sodas( no alcohol). I ordered the 1 item plate with 2 sides. The tri tip was moist and flavorfull. The coleslaw was wonderful and their mac and cheese was creamy (best mac and cheese i have ever had). I also got a side order of the street corn...well seasoned and yummy! I shared this plate between two of us and it was plenty of food...and leftovers! I can see ordering the ribs next time. Burgers looked good too! The staff is friendly and the order came out quickly. I would definitely reccomend this place...who doesnt love a BBQ! I will be visiting this place again when i am in town!

Seriously, I love it when I find a gem of a restaurant in a small town. The food is straight gourmet. I had the tri-tip sandwich and tater tots. Burger was a beautiful hand padded perfectly cooked delicious masterpiece. This is a mom and Pop shop and these are exactly the type of places I like to find when I'm out of town. I ate the pulled pork sandwich and it was fantastic. My son got the burger and scarfed it down and my boyfriend ate the brisket sandwich. Both of them equally loved their food. I have been to many barbecue places throughout the country and I always base my decisions off the pulled pork. The pulled pork was very flavorful. Very impressed with it the ribs excellent moist and tender excellent choices for barbecue sauce. I had the peppered barbecue sauce. tater tots, crispy and delicious coleslaw was very mild. Not a lot of flavor. I'm pretty excited about this place and will be trying some more meat combos. read more

Very good BBQ. the brisket hit the spot, they have a variety of sauces which made the meat juicy. Carolina sauce was good. Had the pastrami burger. The burger was cooked just right. It was juicy and the was also just the right consistency. I ordered with just the meat pickles and mustard and they had no issue making it that way. Fries were crispy and flavorful. Area was clean. The associate who took our order was very friendly and kept the area clean. read more

So since Big Red's re-opened under new ownership ( super nice couple Lucky & Trevor), I have really enjoyed the food. I've ordered tri tip sandwich, brisket sandwich, rack of ribs, and a cheeseburger...no, not at the same time! They were all quite tasty, and would order any of them again. Oh, and ate half of my wife's chicken sandwich ( shhh, don' t tell her), when she wasn't looking. Very good also. Excellent food and great people, please give them a try read more

I had the pulled pork and it was pretty good. The fries were great! We didn't have to wait long for our food, and the service was good. It's a cafeteria-like setting and would probably have been loud if there had been more customers there. I will go again to try other items on their menu. read more

Paid $15 for 3 for tortillas and about 1 Oz TOTAL of pork belly . The tiny amount of pork belly tasted good but I got 50 cents with of food for 15 bucks .....never again . read more

The food here is amazing. I had the Tri-Tip, which was so juicy and savory. It went great with the creamy Mac and cheese and potato salad. My partner had gotten the Beer Battered Onion Rings and let me take one. My only regret is not ordering more for myself. The staff is so welcoming and the restaurant is spotless. It's also very accommodating for my disability. I will definitely be coming back often so I can try everything on the menu. read more

Run, don't walk to Big Red's BBQ! We stopped in on a rainy Saturday and had great BBQ and customer service. I'm gluten free and they were very helpful and careful with my order of brisket, delicious and enough for 4 meals! Two had tri-tip sandwiches and one hamburger. The only complaint was one wished her tri-tip was warm. Next time we'll make sure to ask them to heat it up, otherwise there were no complaints! read more

We got pulled pork sandwiches and they were delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, without being overly sauced. We got potato salad, which in my opinion, was bland, but the collards were awesome! We will definitely go back, I'm anxious to try their brisket. Very clean restaurant and service was very nice. I was proud that they displayed the Bill of Rights as well as other patriotic signs on their walls. read more

Can't say enough good things about this spot, the food is amazing, I've had the pork belly tacos.. perfect btw.. Philly cheesesteak & they have a brisket sandwich with a cherry bbq sauce so fire. They have really friendly staff & a clean area, there's almost always a game on so if you're a sports head like me big plus.
