It is a tiny place with limited parking. But since they are "hidden" in the back, they were not busy when I got there. It was my first time there and I didn't know what the process is. I parked and walked to the front. There was only one worker there. His name was Michael. I asked him how does it work. He helped me while telling me what to do. Michael was very fast, friendly and patient with me. After he weighed all my recyclables, he had me to go to the front with him so that he can show me how he got the price. Very honest of him. He even told me that they have other locations around sac. I will definitely come back here again.

Getting Rid of Junk! Hey neighbors, wanted to share a great experience and help those who may need this kind of service. Like many, I had some furniture items that I needed to get rid of. Like most, I compiled a list of junk pick up services in and around the greater Sacramento area. After calling a few, I found out how expensive and frustrating it can be. First, beware of those who have a policy of providing an initial quote, but claim only the pick-up team will provide a final quote. Next, some won't even provide a phone quote, beware. Here is my recommendation. I found, Big Rich Hauling. Serving the greater Sacramento area, the quote they gave me was significantly lower than other haulers. Also, they stand by that quote. Big Rich Hauling is amazing! We replaced our roof, and there was ALOT of junk on both sides of the house, a lot of wood planks and other roofing materials. My husband and I spent hours stuffing trash bags and barely made a dent. We happened to see a Big Rich Hauling truck while driving and thought we'd give it a shot. I called Rich and he had someone go out and give me a free quote the same day, and once I said yes they did it right away. What would have taken us weeks, they did in a matter of hours. I connected with Big Rich's on Monday, March 31, through Yelp. They could have come on Monday, but I asked them to come Tuesday. They called and gave plenty of time to get to my storage unit. They arrived within 5 minutes of their estimated arrival. Christian and Thomas were very nice guys, very strong and competent with their equipment, and super fast. These guys are the best!! They happily hauled away my pile of heavy bricks, tile and other junk. I was afraid they would complain about having to haul away such heavy junk and charge more than estimated or even say they couldn't do it when they showed up but they didn't even flinch when I showed them the stuff. They picked up every last piece and even swept up the leaves and acorns that were in my driveway. I spent the morning calling place after place looking for someone to take a recliner, king size mattress, and tv that was on my drive way before the rain completely saturated the items i couldn't get anyone to come out. (probably because it was raining) Then i found Big Rich Hauling on craigslist and the page read rain or shine i haul all the time. Today is the third time we have used Big Rich Hauling Service. I highly recommend this company. Today they did a big cleanup in the side yard. This included Brandon and Christian raking/sweeping the area after to make it look finished. Every time we've contacted them they have scheduled us within 1-2 days. One time it was the same day. These guys are the best. I swear they were heaven sent!!! I had to be out of my apartment by 5pm today and i called them at 3pm. I still had a lot of crap to get rid of and i didnt want to take it to my new house. I wanted it junked. They were here in less then 45 minutes and they were fast! Cannot recommend Big Rich enough. I called around asking for prices to move a bed frame, one dresser, and one couch and was quoted over $700 each time for those items. We had even more things to move this time around and not only was the pricing great, the service was even better. Christian and Josh were amazing. We hired them twice this year, 2018,: once to clean out a basement full of discarded belongings of a tenant; once to do construction tear out of two bathrooms, kitchen, and clean out a very dusty and messy crawl space. Called Big Rich back today to book an appointment to pick up a couch and recliner. He told me he would be available in a couple hours. Just like that 1 hour 45 minutes later he called said he was 20 minutes away I told him I was home, then 20 minutes later he was loading the sofa and recliner by himself (strong guy) in the truck and we were saying goodbyes.
