About two weeks ago I did a search for someone to remove a spa. I got several competitive bids right away and after careful consideration, selected Longs Trash Hauling to do the job. The owner, Jim communicated frequently about the logistics to get the spa removed, and after I drained and disconnected the power we had an appointment this morning. They showed up when they said they would, advised that it would take 60-90 minutes and went straight to work. From beginning to cleanup the project was complete inside 75 minutes. We rented a 15-yard dumpster for a little over a week. It was easy to order online, and there was confirmation by phone. The dumpster was delivered on schedule, and they followed up by phone to schedule pickup. Good communication, good service. Dumpster was clean, as if new. Lately I've been seeing advertisements for junk hauling in my community. Literally have seen dozens of lawn signs and things on mail boxes. Of course i never took down the number and ended up on Yelp looking them up. Yelp has that feature that allows you to send the same request to multiple vendors. So in this case, while i was responding to someone else's advertisement Yelp actually helped steer me in another direction. After putting the request out to the original vendor who advertising, 6 other junk haulers received my request. Long's got the business because they got me a quote without asking a ton of questions. When a recent storm hit, and we noticed our tree had fallen completely into the road, blocking traffic...we panicked a bit. The City came out and chopped it up and tossed it onto our front lawn...
