They came to pack up my 1 bedroom apartment in Chicago and all the movers were fairly pleasant. However, the driver was SO RUDE. He kept complaining that there was no where to park (mind you it's a city) and my relocation specialist was supposed to get a parking permit. He blamed myself and my boyfriend for not getting this although we were assured it was taken care of. At the end after 8 hours of packing, he told my boyfriend that it was a disgrace that we were so cheap and sad that we couldn't afford a parking permit. We ended up giving them all a tip, including the driver and he just scoffed at us and said this changes nothing. Additionally, nothing was wrapped in blankets in terms of the furniture which all has scratches and marks over everything. I opened most boxes almost in tears of how poorly the materials were packed and all the damages. After 8 hours, would have thought everything would be packed correctly. They also didn't label half the boxes for mark off and the moving company who unpacked me (different) even said they thought Planes did a horrible job and I should request money back due to how bad it was. This was supposed to be a stressless move due to having relocation services but was one of the most stressful times of my life due to Planes.

Not only did they empty my house but also the contents of my storage units which lasted until after 8:00PM. I could not have been happier with any crew. The staff at the warehouse was extremely courteous and easy to work with. I am confident that when my house is ready in AZ that the Planes staff will complete the job without issue.

Moving is never easy and with me starting a new job in WY where i have to be at work almost 13 hours a day it wasn't easy at all. I planned my whole work / personal life around the delivery window of two weeks that was given me. I lived in an almost empty apartment and making do with things hoping my stuff with arrive any day. My move coordinator Debra C. did a poor at communication. I never received any updates and i was the one constantly reaching out to find where the things are at. Today i emailed D.C. and i was told that my stuff MIGHT BE loaded on a truck on the last day of my delivery window. They have no regard for their customers and do whatever they want. They do NOT care if you are without your home for almost a month as long as they collect their massive bills and are happy. As the review mentions 2.5 weeks in , i am still without my stuff. I have been told that my last day on my DELIVERY window is when the stuff MIGHT BE LOADED. If i could give 5 thumbs down to them i would. THE WORST moving experience for me. I would recommend stay away from this company and i will update my review as things progress. I recently used them to…read moremove from Chicago to Las Vegas and I initially went with them as I read many many reviews on all the companies I researched to just pay the extra money and go with Mayflower well I did and was 100% unsatisfied as 70% of my moving boxes were completely crushed, broken, damaged resulting in over $500 worth of damage. My Las Vegas location was not my final destination so my boxes were going to just be in storage for a few months but instead of an easy unload in Vegas I had to spend hours to unpack all boxes, check for damage on my items and then repack into new boxes. The lack of timely communication from the company was a huge inconvenience on their procedure along with overall satisfaction on my end of how they uhandled the final outcome of this matter. I had wasted so much energy and time going back and forth dealing with the result of their carelessness on my personal items. I could have gone with a different company that quoted $1600 to move across country and probably would have been better than the result of Mayflower as it seemed they threw my boxes across country. Unfortunately spending money for a well known name company didn't work in my favor this time.

We did not move paint, so it must have been spilt in their truck from a prior move. My husband and I decided not to take any chances this time. Prager Moving and Storage has been in Naperville for decades. Our neighbor, who is a perfectionist, to put it mildly, used Prager and raved about them. Our real estate agent, Chris Cobb, recommended Prager. The actual cost of the move came in below their estimate. The driver, Bob Bychowski, was outstanding. He and his crew were extremely prompt on both ends. His truck was huge and immaculate. His crew was great. Each and every one of them introduced themselves to us by name and shook our hands and then got to work without delay. We haven't unpacked everything yet, but all the furniture arrived without a scratch. This was the easiest move we have ever experienced. We are a "his, mine and ours" family, so we have both moved many times over the decades. We both agree that this was by far the best moving experience ever. They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
