Signed contract in October of 2023 didn't start till July of 2024 it's now November 2025 And still waiting for them to come back to complete contract.. we eventually had to have the remaining work completed by others...we are a small Not for Profit 55+ community in Spring Hill and got scammed by them... make sure you really look deep in to the company and owners name before you have them do anything. I hired Big Splash Pools to diagnose and repair a leak in my inground pool. Their service tech was professional while diagnosing the leak in the pool skimmer. He ordered the part (which was on backorder) within two weeks they came back, installed the new skimmer, and cleaned up the construction on my pool deck. DO NOT USE JIMMY HE IS A LIRE SCAM ARTIST AND A THEIF!!!!! We contracted with Big Splash Pools/Jimmy Howe on March 2021. We established an agreement and signed a contract. Per our conversation with Jimmy, he stated that the pool would be completed by May 12th , 2021, or sooner, weather permitting. Per the contract we gave our first deposit of $10,500 on 3/26/2021. As time passed, we were wondering why work had not commenced, Jimmy stated that he did not have a concrete company to complete the work. We recommend a company that Jimmy was familiar with and agreed to use them. It was now the third week of May and no work had been completed. We continuously reached out to Jimmy wondering why nothing has been done, and of course nothing but more excuses. Once the concrete company came out and removed the concrete decking around the pool Jimmy did start some work which included remove existing fiberglass/plastic steps, reforming and leveling the pool walls, concrete step, and bench, removed some of the liner, installed some piping, skimmer and cut in pool lights. On June 25th Jimmy asked for the next installment so he could get all the material to move forward with the job and promising that are pool would be completed or close to when we returned from Vacation on July 6 th . We came back from vacation and noticed not one thing had been done while we were gone. We reached out to Jimmy and asked why nothing was done, and his reply is attached to this email in a letter. Basically, stating he was behind, lack of manpower, materials were not in, nor were they ordered. We pleaded numerous times for Jimmy to give us a date or anything regarding work being done on the pool and we either would not hear from him, or he had more excuses why he could not be here. Jimmy kept giving us excuses on why the liner wasn't in, so we did our own investigating only to find out that our liner has been sitting at Superior Pool products and they told me specifically that liner had been there for a couple of weeks. Coming to find out Jimmy picked up our liner that we paid for and have no idea why he picked up our liner knowing he wasn't going to complete our job. We spoke with an Attorney and wrote Jimmy a letter asking for our pool to be completed or a refund of our $11,000 and take possession of our liner. Obviously, he chose not to respond to us either through text, phone, or email. Jimmy put us in a horrible position financially, having to pay potentially double to the new pool company to complete the work Jimmy failed to do, and a waste of our pool season. We had no other choice but to hire another pool company to complete the work due to an empty pool which is being exposed to the elements and has become a safety concern and will cause more damage if the pool is not complete before the winter months. The pool walls can potentially cave in if the pool is not full of water. Per conversation with the new pool company the encapsulation for the cover was improperly installed and the new pool company will have to fabricate a new lid; In addition, the concrete steps were improperly measured even for the liner Jimmy had on order and we are forced to hire the concrete company to remove what's currently there and repour at additional cost to us. We personally have had to pump any water from the pool to mitigate any future damage to the pool. We have also attached the contract, our letter to Big Splash Pools/Jimmy Howe, pictures of the current pool condition, all text messages from throughout this process, as well as the letter from Jimmy to us. This guy Greg Jarque still owes us right at a $1,000 dollars fro work completed in august of last year 2016 Several homeowners are not satisfied at all with the time it takes to complete pools..several customers are going on 2yrs and and still arent completed and VERY unsatisfactory quality of work performed. !! STAY AWAY !! This guy Greg Sanchez Jarque is a total bullcrap liar. He will promise you stuff, then not back it up, waste your time, then leave you hanging. We Called Greg and scheduled him to come out. He came LATE and didn't call to say he was going to be late. Then his lazy ass just opens the back door, looks out and don't measure. Says he's been doing this long enough to know what to do. We should of known right after that it was going to be an irresponsible and unprofessional experience. We waited to get other estimates and we decided to give him a try. Called him and he told us he would send us an updated estimate rendition.. day after day of bull crap excuses we finally got another upriced estimate. We then went and got our financing. He then sent a half ass rendition. Looked nothing like our layout of property days later as usual. He used the excuse "i got there at dark and never measured" UMMM OK. Seriously.. Maybe if you come on time and weren't too lazy to measure.... BTW a real professional came out and measured at dark in the rain and sent us a proper professional rendition in 24 hours.. So we finally got rendition (just slightly better then half ass) and said ok just come out and measure right and get your numbers right. He makes 2 appointments and just don't show but texts me the next day with another bull crap Lie excuse why he couldn't make it but never acknowledged he just stood us up. He finally said he would come out on a Saturday at 10:30.. shows up at like 5. Gets out the truck, sits on the steps and bosses a kid around to measure. God forbid you stand up and work. He said ok ill call your financing company to confirm and get your agreement to start. Now our financing company gives us 4 months from the time of approval to finish of project or you will get penalties. We called our financing company to actually ask about Big Splash Pools since he said "that company loves me" well they do love him .... enough to inform us that with his bad credit and bad ratings that he's only allowed to have 2 projects going on at a time! Ok its like 3 weeks later, still haven't heard from Greg lost almost a month on our loan deadline. He left us hanging. And we just read all the NEGATIVE ratings online and saw his CRIMINAL record.. Wish we would of researched before he got a chance to discust us and waste our time and more importantly waste time on our loan while it has a job deadline. What a piece of crap and horrible unprofessional person and company. We called a real company who is on top of it and getting our project going. read more
