But as soon as he opened his mouth about how long he has been in business and who he services, I knew this was not a match made in heaven. His ego and his lack of customer service really showed. He spent more time stroking his own chicken and pricing us out before we even got started, it was absolutely insane. This man has been doing this for 39years and he is so high strung, lacks patience, and wants to sell all top end options. I am all for up selling your product but to say our budget is not me(Frank) was a bit overwhelming. Everything started at 50 to 60k and who gives a range of 10k in a verbal estimate when you don't even know what we need versus wants. What can we get for our budget is not in his wheelhouse or vocabulary. When in fact the person who referred us spent under $50k with him for a bigger pool then we wanted. So it's just odd to me that he kept saying that many times over, again pricing us out of the picture. The most daunting thing that really surprised me is how he wants to be efficient and lower his costs but increase my costs. Frank says to me you are going to have to remove that crepe myrtle and I need 10 feet in width to drive a "trailer hoe" back here. And yes it will tear up all your sod and your neighbors yard. Wait what I don't have 10' on either side. Okay so you plan to replace it right. No I don't do landscaping. So let me get this straight he wants to drive some 10 feet wide excavator back here to dig up a five feet deep pool? I looked it up and they do have smaller excavators that will reach the depth that is needed and are much lighter and smaller. But because of efficiency and his cost he plans to lack care for your yard. Just to pass another bill on to you 10' x 40' run is another $4k to fix the sod and $1200 for sprinklers to be replaced. I knew from earlier in the conversation he doesn't do landscaping so you will have to call two more companies to put your yard back once he is done tearing it up. From a common sense perspective take care of the yard and maybe charge a little more for time. It can't be the $5,200 in damage you plan to do. Lastly, if he said to me one more time I do all the pools for doctors, lawyers, and nurses in this area I would have probably puked. And if he tells me one more time he is the undercover guy they send out to inform lawyers on lawsuits. Puke again. Just too much ego for me. Frank I wish you the best and yes you probably should stick with the doctors, and lawyers, and nurses because they obviously like to be up-sold on materials they don't necessarily need for you to profit on standard materials you buy in bulk at a low cost. I appreciated your time and input. Only wasted 20 minutes of my time. Frank is definitely knowledgeable in his field but if you lack patience this guy is not the one for you. We decided to walk away with an agreement it was not a match. I gave him 3 stars because of his timeliness, knowledge, and workmanship via pictures. Frank has some work to do on customer service, cost control, flexibility, and patience.

After numerous calls and txts to both of those clowns, Austin told me that the pool light makes the floor look uneven and then admitted that it was a crappy job on their side. He said he will talk to Tyler, who never wants to face the problems, and will call me back. That was it. No calls. Now I have a huge yellow stain in my new pool and the fake warranty that nobody wants to honor. I will be filing a complaint through the state, the county, and a fraud suit against both or them. Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! Starting such a huge project as installing a pool can be troubling, given the risks of hiring a…read moreshady/undependable company to do the work and the horror stories you hear. Thankfully, Elite Pool Designs put all of our fears to rest thanks to their amazing customer service, fair prices and excellent, high quality work. We previously had a koi pond in our backyard but, as the fish died out, realized we wanted something else back there instead. We reached out to Elite Pool and Cyndi and she came over the next day to assess our yard. As we had no idea where to start, she helped guide us through the whole process, connecting us with surveyors, tree removal experts and all of the other hidden things you don't think about when you decide "I want a pool". After the work to get the yard ready was done, we went to the Elite Pool offices to pick out the tile, lining and design of the pool. Cyndi walked us through the shape and features we wanted, and provided a very reasonable quote for everything, including, automation, a heater for the pool (hey it DOES sometime get cold here!) and a screen enclosure. Construction for the pool started in October 2024 and finished in late January 2025, and our hat goes off to Robert (owner of Elite Pool) for his help with managing the entire project. Crews arrived as needed and on time, and though there were some periods between steps where not a lot of work was being done, it was never unreasonable and given the holidays, totally fair. Inspection and electrical were simple and easy and now we are ready to enjoy our pool! For anyone in our same position, looking to install a pool from scratch but not sure where to turn, Elite Pool Design should be your first call, can't recommend them highly enough!
