WOW!!!! I have used SEVERAL junk hauling companies; although this is not a big corporation, Larry and his brother were BEYOND professional and courteous. I called Larry at 9am sharp and we scheduled him to arrive the same day around 1:30PM. Larry showed up promptly at 1:30 and was adamant about me not lifting a finger. This guy robbed me blind. He's very personable which makes you trust him. He did a good job of hauling stuff off, but he helped himself to some of my belongings while he was at it. He kept giivng me reasons to go inside and that when he helped himself to my two ornate Victorian heavy brass floor lamps, which belonged to my great grandfather who emigrated from England in the 1890's That is all I had left from that part of the family, not to mention they are VERY valuable. He tricked me by asking if he could have my dulcimer. Of course, I said no, but he had already taken out the lamps. He moved a lot of stuff around which was another way to distract me. He also filled my RECYCLE canister full of sheet rock and left it here. It is so heavy I can't move it, plus it is clearly NOT recyle-able. Then i paid the guy $240. I have used Larry 3 times now. This guy is the definition of service with a smile. And its good service. In all three situations he was at my house ready to load up within a day (twice he responded same day). I was exhausted just watching him work. Each time he arrived started with me telling him how he would never get all my stuff in one load and each time he pulled off a miracle and got all my piles of cardboard, foam, trash bags and other packing materials into a single truck load. Magician? Possibly. Black hole in the bed of his truck? Likely. Whatever it is...if you need it gone...call Larry. Also, if you have time while he is working, get to know him. UPDATE: We finally heard from this guy five hours later after he was supposed to show up and after we had called around and found another service. Wow! These reviews do not steer you wrong. First of all, Larry answered the phone right away and with an awesome, friendly attitude. I had an unfortunate infestation in my pantry and had to empty it out the day after trash pick up. My trash was overflowing and the City of Austin would not return for an extra pickup, even though I was willing to pay. But Larry came out within a couple of hours of my phone call and picked it all up for me at a very reasonable cost. He and his assistant had such a great attitude and made me laugh the whole time they were here. They were efficient too and I am extremely happy with their services. "Delightful" is not the word I would expect to use when describing the experience of disposing a used mattress, yet that is exactly the word that comes to mind when I reflect on hiring Big Time Hauling. Larry was easy to talk to on the phone, charged a very reasonable price, and even texted me photos of the mattress-hauling process as we had left town by that point. (Since we were moving and needed our mattress up until the morning we left, Larry let us mail him a check in advance, post-dated to our move date, and agreed to pick up the mattress late morning.
