You can also sit and wait while your laundry runs, check email or watch a show, because they have free wifi. Its very convenient and feels safe. No body has ever taken my clothes before. Washer and dryer broke at my apartment complex so last resort was to come to big wave laundromat which was the closest to home. OMG this place is squeaky clean and tons of washers and dryers of different choices and prices pretty cheap being its New Years with every wash u get a free dry! This place has specials all the time the attendant told us who by the way was very friendly and helpful being first timers. I am considering going here instead of my insure laundry because it gets the job done unlike my cheap dirty washer/dryer at my complex. Will definitely be back. read more

So my 40 Year-Old Dryer died and I was forced to go to a laundromat to get some clean clothes on a Sunday evening. The repairman was going to take days to rummage up a spare part from the depths of his workshop. I popped in here with all the hamper from the house and was amazed at a washing machine that holds 8, yes gentle reader you read that right, eight loads at once. The corresponding dryer is so big, it could act as a room for the night in an emergency. The staff is really friendly, the place is super clean and they have a little Mexican joint next door if you get the munchies. If the repair guy has not found a part for my dryer I may have to hold a short prayer service for the old one and see what Speed Queen has in my future, read more

My first time at a laundromat! Went here even though 20 mins out of my way based on positive reviews. Did not disappoint. The lady managing the facility was super helpful showing me what to do etc. While waiting she didn't stop sweeping and helping others out. The facility is clean and machines are super fast. Think the wash took about 30 mins. Plenty of washers and dryers for all. Well maintained. In a cute shopping area. So the power went out today at the laundromat on Monument Blvd-- actually that whole entire side of town had a power outage so I decided to go to Big wave. I arrived about 5-10 minutes after 9pm which is the time their last wash should be but I was hoping they can make an exception. I went in and put my clothes in the washing machine as quick as I could then I went to my car to get my detergent and I was followed outside by the RUDEST worker. She was a heartless immature girl probably in her 20's that basically yelled at me to go away. I explained to her my situation and she didn't care, she told me that the last wash is at 9pm no matter the circumstances. I told her that I didn't have much clothes to wash and it would be done by 10pm if not sooner. Nothing I said convinced her, it basically got her angrier the more I spoke. She was a complete cold hearted child that only cared about clocking out as early as possible. She obviously doesn't take any pride in her job nor respect the customers that come here. I had to go back in, get my clothes out of the washing machine in embarrassment and leave. I've never came across anyone so cruel that could make me feel like shit. Long story short, don't bother coming here even a minute after 9 or you can get kicked out. Im pretty sure if you're having any technical issues or if you even have a simple question she won't be pleased to help you out. read more

Thanks for sharing this place, Yelpers! I had a king size quilt and comforter to wash which were too big for a regular machine, so I checked yelp and found this place. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was how clean the laundromat looked. It's seriously clean!! I was a little clueless about the machines, so the nice woman working there explained which machines I could use and the card system (you put cash onto a card and then use the card to start the machines). She also told me about the wash and fold ($1/lb) and I actually ended up using that option. My total to wash two blankets was $15. YAY! We do not have a functioning dryer currently, and air drying things like towels is impossible, so we went here hoping to clean and dry our bath towels and other items that cannot be air dried successfully. I picked this place because the reviews were good. This was my first time using a laundromat. The machines are great, like the clothes were definitely getting cleaned in them. The dryers were not as effective though. Are all laundromats this expensive though? We ended up paying $15 to wash and dry two loads of laundry. Not to mention PAYING to use the restroom there. I can understand that this is an excellent laundromat for people who absolutely do not own a washer and dryer, but it was terribly expensive. The place was clean, and the washing machines were awesome, but the prepaid card system was tricky and it cost a lot to do two loads of laundry. If you can afford to buy new appliances, just buy new appliances, but if you cannot afford to own one, and you don't mind paying exorbitant prices. UPDATE: Went here again today. The dryers are awful and don't work on purpose! They suck so you have to spend lots of money sitting there for an hour waiting for your stuff to dry, listening to the infernal and endless playlist of bad pop music. read more

It's a laundry mat. What else can I say - so it is in a divey little area and always a lot of people washing clothes here. You buy a card to activate the machines. Bring your own laundry stuff, but they sell it as well - save money with your own. The nice thing about this place. I can wash multiple loads of clothes in 20 mins or so and dry in 20 minutes or so and fold in 20 minutes or so and out the door with multiple loads of laundry in about an hour or so...I can't do that at home, but I will be getting my own stuff this summer, so this place will do in a pinch. A lot of single guys in here - so they seem starved to want to talk to you, so the time goes by fast when you are chatting and folding clothes...mostly nice people just getting their undies cleaned. They have one or two people working there if you need assistance. All and all very nice place to get 'er done. read more

I'm a big guy. All my clothes are big. What's more is, I only dropped off my work clothes that are all high visibility orange, even my socks. When I pick up my laundry because we had to work 9 days in a row, I didn't get all of my clothes back. I got one pair of my orange socks back and half of my shirts. Additionally, I did get 2 little boys polo style shirts. This place isn't exactly on my way home, ((45 minutes the opposite direction) so I guess I have to buy new clothes. Today I came to do my laundry and one of the lady's was extremely rude not only once but several times. She would make comments under her breathe every time she would passed by me. She makes people around her uncomfortable. She even took out my laundry, saying that some had asked to use that machine which was completely false. I noticed that she is extremely rude to customers that are women. When she is interacting with male customers she is nice and sweet, even flirting with them. Wow. When you have to go to the laundromat you do so with dread. But this is a great one. Neat and clean it is a comfortable place to do your wash. They have lots of machines of all sizes and make it cheap , easy and fast to do your wash. They have machines that take as many as eight loads and the dryers can easily handle four loads. I had great experiences here while visiting for work. It was always clean and I liked the card instead of coin-op like Im used to. Staff was super friendly and helpful ( I forget the young lady's name, but she was always there Saturday mornings). She did not hesitate to help me with getting change and consolidating my cards ( I always left the previous one at the hotel and had to buy another each time). Great washing experience. It's super clean, the staff were always friendly and helpful, and I love how you can use the card to pay instead of using quarters. This place is very convenient for me because of its location. It's right at downtown Concord and I just head here right after work to do my laundry. The machines use a card to operate. You also need to use that card to use the restroom. The place is fairly new so it's clean and everything works. The people that work there are very helpful and usually walk around to clean. The place is clean and convenient. They have vending machines for food, drinks and laundry stuff. It's a little pricier than the coin machine places I've gone to but it's totally worth it. It's clean, everything work and in a nice area. There's grocery stores and plenty of places to eat nearby. It gets pretty busy on Friday-Monday nights. If you go early Saturday and Sunday, it's almost empty. Tuesday-Thursday nights are pretty light too. There's plenty of parking in the area but you might have a long walk depending on how far you park. read more
