I use this laundromat monthly. one of the big washers smelled like pee. I put laundry soap and color Clorox enough to wash 4 blankets and some sheets. I should'be notified the attendant but instead washed a load at 9.95 plus the PLUS WASH for .25 cents on hot water. after the wash all but a one piece smelled like pee. I asked the attendant if there was something she could do and that one large 8 load water needed to be cleaned out. She said she contact he Manager NANCY in regards to the incident. after the phone call her Manager NANCY said there was nothing they could do because their not responsible for the outcome of my laundry. But isn't this a business that runs all day long? and the prices keep raising. BAD business move and the Managers probab didn't even suggest to clean out that big machine too. read more

I have a been a customer here for about a year , i dont go to laundromats because i need to. I have two sets at home. I own too many clothes and shop soo much its easier for me to use the giant washing machines and dryers so i can knock out my 10 plus loads if my own clothes. I wear designer clothes. Im not bragging but im very proud of my very pricy nice clothes my wardrobe is amazing. When im at the laundromat i do not leave im steps away from my clothes at all times. Tonight was the second time the attendant removed my clothes from the dryer only my clothes snd some of my items were on the filthy disgusting floor. When i asked why she would selectively remove my clothes. She told me it had been more than 5 mins since the machine stopped. Now the attendant has over half of the dryers with stickers letting paying customers know that these are her machines. My jeans were not dry and now 3 of my very nice shirts have black marks on them. When i told her not to ever touch my property again. Instead of being a proper person that does something and apologize. She calls the cops, because i told her she had no right to touch my belongings i felt very violated and all she could say was 5 mins. The clothes were still warm.,,,she never apologized she just called the cops. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO BACK THERE. In 2023 i will not allow anyone to be racist towards me directly or indirectly. Ignorance is not and excuse to be less than a human. read more

I've never had a more pleasant laundromat experience. This place is well-organized, all the same type of washer and dryers (that actually work), super clean, the payment system is easy and efficient (a refillable card so you don't have to mess with change), and the staff on site are very friendly. One of them even helped me to untangle a drawstring that was stuck in the dryer... I thought I was going to have to cut it off and asked for scissors, but she untangled it for me! It's also conveniently located next to Todos Santos Plaza and everything in it. I usually go for a walk while my laundry is going (or get groceries next door at Grocery Outlet). Could not be more convenient! Just ONE note for the business though - you advertise that when you refill the card with $20 you get a bonus $1 on your card. Fantastic, personable, honest customer service at this place especially Nancy and Margarita. Being a small biz owner I know how hard it is to have truthful, on time and happy staff and Big Wave employees people like that. My trade is barbering and I use them for my towels and hair capes yet we just returned from holiday so I dropped off my regular laundry Friday. Saturday I work but could not find my 100$ bank roll of 1s, 5s, and 10s. Today on Sunday I go to pick up my wife's and mines stuff. Nancy tells me she's been looking for me and hands me my wet bank roll of 100$ I thought I lost. Thanks again Nancy!! I brought in a couple of Ruggables (machine-washable rugs) because they are too large for my machine. The very helpful staff member on site showed me how to load the cars, use the machines, etc. A really nice, clean, laundromat and I appreciated the help. read more

This is an A-OK location with lots of machines that will allow you to a whole lotta washin' in a very short time. I love that you can come in, dump it all in a giant washer and in about an hour-be dry and out the door! It wasn't super busy the time I was in, but I could see that the place probably gets a lot of traffic, the strip mall was busy and people were coming and going from the laundry every few minutes. The machines were clean, the dryers worked well and they do have the laundry card system. (The cool thing is, unlike other card style laundromats, you don't have to pay for the card...which is nice.) If you need help, there's a friendly lady who works there. She showed me everything I needed to know to get going, which was appreciated! They also play a cool satellite radio station with videos of the songs that are on, top 40 kind of stuff, but it was a nice break from soap operas and telenovellas blaring from giant TVs! :) read more

I've been checking out different laundromats nearby and this place so far has been my favorite. The staff are constantly sweeping and cleaning. Seems like they take pride in their business. All the washers I've seen look clean barely any detergent residue stuck on anywhere. And the dryers dry the clothes within 10 minutes. Price for wash and dry are reasonable compared to other places. The workers work hard to keep it COVID/safe. They are efficient and nice. The machines are clean and really effective/strong. It has AC And a clean bathroom. Only problem is I don't know if I ever got the bonus dollar with with $20 purchase on the card as they claim but it's a small con. I only ever go here. read more

So HAPPY I found this place. I am a full time student and work full time as well. So time is definately of the essense for me. Today I had tons of stuff to do and had tons of loads of laundry and was really in a time pinch. I dont go to laundry mats so I researched places. I live in Pinole which is 20 min away from concord. But it had great reviews. It had on their website wash and fold services available for $1 a pound. And thats what I did ! I brought all my clothes in and came back in 2.5 hrs and They were done. The laundromat is clean I will give them that but the customer service is complete trash. I walked inside with my coworker and immediately was being harassed by the staff and given dirty looks. The unprofessional of their staff is distasteful and straight up rude. There is no signage ANYWHERE that I need to provide my own detergent or Big Wave Laundromat Card and that was how the staff justified me not being inside to do my own laundry, separate of my coworkers'! read more

I left A bad review a couple weeks ago because I felt there was bad service but I take that all back tonight when my daughter came out of the store and accidentally hit somebody's bike. A man rushed out and started yelling at her but as soon as that happened and employee came out and defended her saying that she was only trying to make sure that the bike did not fall. The employee made sure my daughter was safe and thankfully I was there to see it all. I will continue to come here as long as I live in this area. read more

Got overwhelmed by the height of our family's laundry pile, so I decided to splurge and look for a wash and fold service. I found Big Wave and am very satisfied. I dropped off my absurd amount of dirty laundry. They weighed it, gave me a ticket and asked relevant questions (bleach? fabric softener? dryer sheets?). They worked quickly and my clothes were cleaned, folded and ready for pick up the same day! This was obviously more expensive than doing my own wash, but it saved this mama so much time it was absolutely worth it. Only negatives are that they only accept cash for wash and fold service and their sidewalk does not have a ramp/handicapped space, so it was a little tricky (especially in the rain) pulling my giant wagon of clothes up and down onto/off of the sidewalk. read more

Two stars only because it is relatively clean... Come here because I do not have to carry a bag of quarters. Decent folding area but the workers take over more then half of the folding tables I am doing laundry for myself my lady her sister and daughter 2 weeks worth [a ton]. Why do I drive all the way from Oakland to Big Wave to do my laundry? Well, let me tell you: 1) This is the cleanest laundromat you will ever find. Ever. Seriously, I dare you to find one cleaner. From the floors to the counters, from the machines to the bathroom, this place gleams. The owners take great pride in running a well kept space. 2) They are high tech with their card system and give daily discounts. (eg, Thursdays can be $.17 for 15 min of drying, etc.). And there is a dollar discount if you load your card with $20.00. 3. The place is always humming with some pop music to keep you grooving. Yes, sometimes that means washing your duds while Britney Spears serenades you, but it's better than dead silence or obnoxious television shows. 4. There are two fully stocked vending machines and one soap vending machine. There is also a pretty tasty taqueria next door so you can get your munch on while you wait for clothes to dry. 5. Ample seating, laundry carts and machines abound. I've never had to wait for anything here and I'm in and out with my laundry in an hour or less, depending on dry time. In short, where most laundromats are ghetto and scary, this place is warm, open and inviting. The staff is on their A game, and it shows. So what if I have to do a little driving to get there? Last year my wife and I had a major remodel done on our house. Our washer and dryer were inaccessible for a few weeks, so I started taking our laundry to Big Wave Laundromat because it is near my office. Their wash & fold service is $1 per pound. This place is great because: -$1 per pound is worth the price of convenience. -The young ladies who work there are very friendly and hard working. -They do a great job in laundering clothes and bedding (meets my wife's high standards). -Their folding is exquisite (also meets my wife's high standards). -The laundry job is usually done in a few hours, at which time they send a text to let me know. Even though our laundry room is up and running, I will still bring loads in when we get a bit behind at home. My highest recommendation goes to their wash & fold service. read more

I hate going to a laundromat to do laundry. I'd rather wear granny panties for a week until I can go home and wash my clothes at my parent's house. Big Wave eases some of those anxieties and makes laundry almost bearable. For starters, they have daily deals. Free soap, discount on washes, and the awesome but slightly insane free dry with wash Thursdays. If you have the money and would rather have someone else wash your nasty things, you can also leave your clothes there and for a whopping $1 a pound have them clean it for you. If you do it on your own, however, it typically costs less then $20 for a hefty amount of laundry. What the $20 doesn't include is the price of your sanity. I have never been in here when there isn't at least 3-4 little nuggets running around the place causing havoc. I understand using your kids for free labor, but for the love of god please teach them how to act normal in public. Employees are nice and helpful and don't give you weird looks when you are folding your lacy panties. I haven't been to any other laundromats in Concord and have no intention to, but I would recommend bringing some noise cancellation headphones to drown out the kids' shrieking. read more

I cant believe I am writing a review on a laundromat of all places, but I have been to others and it just isnt the same as this place. I have been here a few times but felt compelled to write today because I just knew there had to be a catch...today that catch was made clear Normally the place is clean, organized and the employees make it a point to say hi and acknowledge you...today...no way jose. The lady running the place was in her own world. Normally, this place is efficient enough that people are in and out and you can get space on the folding table. Today, it seemed the 2 brady bunch families were there that had to take up 2 giant tables with all their clothes, and rather than moving them into their baskets in preparation to leave and to make room for others...they left them there. There is one other small folding table and there was a line for that so once my drying was done I stood there folding like an idiot out of the laundry cart. Come on people...have some consideration for others and only use what space you need! Also, usually the music that is on is pleasurable and you can understand it...today, I could not understand a word because it was on the latino station.....I can only take so much of trumpets and oompas before I go crazy, especially since I can not understand the words. One time out of 4 being here is not bad before I had a complaint. So, I am not knocking this place and will definitely go back. But they REALLY need to install another 1 or 2 folding tables. read more

During the shelter in place they changed the last wash to 8:00 PM. The only items that I needed to wash were my bed sheets. I walked in at 7:59 PM, when I was walking to the washer it turned 8 PM. They told me that I could not wash my clothes, that I needed to start the washer at 8:00 PM. I have been coming here for over a year. I use the wash and fold for my clothes and then wash my bed sheets, so I was extremely disappointed. Unfortunately they lost a loyal customer. The website states the last wash is at 9 PM, so I wasn't even aware of the time change until I got to the place. read more

Not only a clean spacious place to get your laundry done, but if you have need to get some work done (Wireless Internet) while you wait... they got it. Get two things done at a time. We have machines at our complex but this place is kept clean by the on-site attendant, it's cheaper and you can get your laundry done more quickly with their 20lb, 30lb, 50lb AND 80lb machines. I hate doing laundry, but when I gotta do it, this is the place. read more

Just moved to concord and came here because of the good reviews. I really like this place, I've been here twice now and I definitely plan on returning. It has a bright, clean, friendly, and upbeat environment. The card system is easy to use and the customer service is great. The girl working tonight added on time for my boyfriend and I to make sure our clothes were thoroughly dried before we left so we would not have to come back. They definitely needed the extra time.
