I have spent money on parts for a mower so I can continue making money through my landscaping business, everyday I don't have my parts, I lose money, two weeks and I haven't heard anything and I can no longer afford to drive down there just to ask if my parts are there because I'm also not getting any phone calls. Oh god and then there's the phone issue. I used to manage an auto parts store and our policy was to pick up the call within the first three rings, I called 7 times within the span of 30 minutes and I didn't even get put on hold. I know these guys aren't doing anything as I've watched them completely ignore the phone while I was in the store. I'd be so much more understanding if the store was packed and the phones are ringing off the hook but that's not the case... customer service is trash as well. I'm scared of retaliation since I still haven't seen my parts and I'm sure they'll know who this is but I just want to warn anyone searching for the right store... THIS IS NOT IT GO LOOK ELSEWHERE. We've brought chains in for sharpening, purchased new chains and other supplies, and have even purchased multiple chain saws here. The last purchase we made was because our medium-sized saw had a crack in the crank case. They offered to speak to the Stihl rep to see if such an unusual repair could be covered by the warranty, which was long-since over. Although the rep rejected the idea, State Street Saw Shop offered me a substantial discount on a new saw, which we gladly accepted. In addition to saws, they carry the full line of Stihl products, including weed eaters, trimmer, leaf blowers, and a full line of accessories and can order items they don't carry in inventory. This is our go-to shop for all our Stihl needs. It should be yours, too.

I initially wondered if it was worth hiring them for ag consulting additionally since we are so small. I tend to think of this service as something for large commercial operations. Boy, are we glad we got the consulting part too. We've never had sheep before and this was absolutely worth it's weight in gold (or Amex.) Brian and Michelle came out to our property and identified the types of grass, appropriateness of our fencing and shelter, and recommended an amount of animals based on the lot size. They immediately followed up by email with a written list of specific supplies they recommend. Our ram and ewes were selected based on this meeting and delivered to us. We really felt like all our questions were answered and when our first sheepergency came up, they immediately responded to our anxious questions. So many people I know are trying to add some element of farming to their already busy day job lives, but don't know where to start. I highly recommend Brian and Michelle for even small properties: let them save you the expense and headache reinventing the wheel from their years of learned experience!

We picked a watermelon and 1/2 bucket of apples. I feel like the apples were either under ripe or overripe. 1/2 bucket $8.50 full bucket $17. Watermelon upick is $6. They did have already picked buckets that you could just purchase a higher price. I didn't catch the price of the veggies or flowers. I will go back to check out the pears in a few weeks.

I was here for apples, and they had a ton of options. They were very friendly and patiently explained the process. You fill buckets and then pay at the end. They have pull carts so you can move multiple buckets around. There are so many varieties of apples! There is a chart at the entrance to the orchard with the names and what purpose is best for each kind of apple (eating, baking, applesauce). They also let you sample the apples to help with the selection process. The orchards extend farther than was apparently from the parking lot. It was peaceful at the far end of some of the rows, and we found plenty of apples. It can be muddy, so boots are probably a good idea. It was a lovely fall day, with blue skies. This was a fun way to connect with the season and to become more familiar with where some of our food comes from. Highly recommended.

The farm has a covered area with picnic benches right near the lavender to allow time to relax and breathe in the freshness of lavender. They have a gift shop on site with many lavender infused items from soaps to lemonade. They have plants for sale to start your own bee frenzy garden. The distillation room is available to see and they do a great job explaining the process of extraction. There is a play structure that is fenced in for the kids to allow the adults time to enjoy the farm. If you enjoy lavender this is a close quick stop you should plan.
