Oh Biggby, you're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey Biggby--hey Biggby!! Sorry, I couldn't resist. As this song may imply, this place is reminiscent of my younger summer days spent in Ohio preparing for my dental admission test and my application process to dental school. The employees at this location soon came to know me as Julie the Stayer. I became their own little California sunshine as a few gals would put it. I come in with a big smile and ready to study...then spend a good 10 (okay, 20-30) minutes just socializing with the employees. Then of course, go back to my studies. Needless to say, they were very hospitable, even towards a several hour study squatter like myself. They took time to get to know me and were also very considerate with me around. Munchies were under mostly under $2 and if you don't get my drift...it's pretty much the gluten lover's paradise. Prices were great and things were quick to order and tasty for such a student budget-friendly price! They also have complimentary single sides of peanut butter spread and jam spreads on the side to enjoy with bagels and so forth. I loved choosing from the huge selection of coffee beans and my go-to was the iced skim milk coffee. This was before I converted to black coffee, like my heart. I kid, I kid. It just became more practical to not pack on the calories when I began increasing my coffee consumption. On treat days, I'd reward myself with their super (24oz) frozen hot chocolate with sugarfree hazelnut and skim milk for $5.35. Ohhhhhh yes, this was SO good!!!! It very much reminded me of Serendipity 3's frozen hot chocolate in Las Vegas. It'd also last forever...and man, this was a really satisfying treat after hundreds of hours of intense studying. Speaking of treats, I also love their 2.5 oz pack of chocolate covered espresso beans that I'd occasionally indulge in over a week's period of studying for only $1.99. Tip: B Members Reward Club! I go past this place all the time and just now realized they have a drive-thru. I like their coffee better than Starbucks and it is certainly better than Tim Hortons. Today I ordered a latte with chai flavoring. It was about 2x sweeter than I like but most things are. Easily fixed next time I come. There was adequate foam on my drink which makes me very happy, that other coffee chain seems to skimp on it. I was in and out of a drive-thru quickly. I don't buy coffee often because I'm cheap but now I know of another location where I can zip through a window and get it when in desperation ! read more

I feel super sorry for the bristas. They are doing their best with what they have. It's pretty apparent that the owner of this particular location tries to cut corners with inadequate staffing levels- there should be more than two staff there in the morning rush hours. The drive thru seems to slow everything down since they are dealing with a line inside and outside, two staff and one register. I return because it's not the baristas faults, though the owner should be called out. read more

This place had a cool vibe when I went in to get coffee. The coffee was okay, prices were a little more expensive than I think the coffee is worth, but thats pretty much true for every coffee shop you go to. It would be a 4 star place, but the baristas were kind of rude to me when I went there, and I told them it was my first time there and they didn't offer any suggestions and made me feel dumb when I asked how it worked. Everyone else seems to like them though, so maybe it was an off day for them. Ill definitely update the review next time I go if the experience is different. read more

I can't seem to give this place more than 3 stars. I'd love to give it 4, but I don't know if it is worthy of it. Here's the scoop: Baristas/Staff = 5 Stars - pretty cool, awesome people working here. Coffee itself = 3.5 -4 Stars (Big fan of the Michigan Cherry. Don't judge me for drinking "foo foo" coffee.) Temperature of Coffee = 2 Stars I don't know what it is, but the coffee here never seems to stay hot, at ALL. I usually buy the medium and put it in my coffee mug (yes, it's insulated and works well), and drink the leftover from the cup. I guess I'm not an environmentalist because I don't come right in and pour it into my mug. Honestly, I think that's gross. Wasteful? Yeah, maybe. So what, who cares? Anyhow. The coffee in the paper cup goes to lukewarm in I'd say 2 minutes. And having the leftover in the mug doesn't help. Maybe it's my bad luck, or maybe the flavored varieties aren't brewed at such a high temperature? Or maybe the coffee dispensers aren't keeping the coffee hot? So yes, if the coffee would stay hot, I'd probably give this place 4 stars... But until that day, I will continue to come in twice a month after meetings at the Medical Center and just reheat my coffee when I get back to the office/home. read more

The baristas here are friendlier here compared to other locations because they have less traffic coming in and out. Since this location isn't busy, it makes for the perfect study spot or place to handle business. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff can even let you sample something if you're unsure on what you want to order. read more

Me and my cousin love their honey, vanilla, cinnamon latte over ice. They are amazing! The employees are super nice too. If you wanna avoid soccer moms that think getting to their yoga class on time is more important, go around 10 am lol, but I love it regardless read more

6:10 am and coffee was hot. Ordered a hot chocolate and my wife enjoyed it. Place is clean but used in appearance. I would stop again.

The baristas are very friendly and the drinks are always tasty. I always feel sorry for the staff though. They always seem to be short staffed to where one person is trying to do everything. One time when I went recently, a worker didn't show up and the poor barista was running around trying to fix drinks, take orders and toast bagels all by herself. read more

Only putting 3 stars because I love their coffee but its extremely disappointing how bad all the stores are. I used to live at the apartment complex up the street from this location. Love Biggby so I would go there a lot. For starters, they never have enough baristas on a shift. They'll have two people working in the morning (which is their busiest time?) so drinks take forever to get done. I have a dairy intolerance and there's probably only been two times where I've actually gotten my drink right here(with non dairy milk).My boyfriend went in one morning about half an hour after they opened, went through the drive thru and sat there for about 5 minutes and no one was there to take his order. Almost all the locations are the exact same way so there definitely is just a problem with management and higher ups. Sad that it probably won't get better read more

Coffee is slightly better than StarBucks, but it's still an overpriced chain. Every Biggby I have been in (4) has been very cold inside, so make sure to bring a sweater even in the Summer. read more

The coffee is always lukewarm in their coffee carafes. The employees are indifferent to the customers. I went in today to fill my travel mug to not only lukewarm but mislabeled carafes. The owners need to do something to help this place to survive. I would pay more for a hot correct flavored coffee. Buyer beware read more

This used to be my favorite place to stop and get coffee in the mornings before work. Had great friendly staff, great drinks, and always a positive energy! Sadly, Over the past 4-6 months, the whole feel changed for me. I am not greeted when I walk in (the sweet girls used to know me by name and if they didn't they acted so happy to see me). The one time I WAS greeted recently, I wasn't even in the door yet and the girl practically yelled "what do you need today?" I have to sadly say that the coffee isn't as hot as normal and the flavors for the lattes aren't as good as they used to be. And the worst part, the service. It seems hard to staff this location and every time I go, there are new workers. I wish I could say it is still my favorite place, but I now go 10 minutes out of my way to the Biggby in Maumee on the Anthony Wayne Trail. Much better service and SUCH FRIENDLY STAFF! :) read more
