Stopped into Maddie & Bella Coffee Roasters at the Downtown Perrysburg location. The inside is cute with some tables to sit and enjoy items at or work from. They roast their own coffee beans and have them on display for purchase just under the cash register. Most of the bags I looked at, beans had been roasted in the last week so they are fresh! I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options. read more

This is a very cozy and upscale looking place. Love the logo and the not completely standard drink menu. The cinnamon bread and salted caramel cookie were both good and seemed fresh. Our lattes were well made, very tasty, and not too sweet. When I asked about a drip coffee refill it was only $1. The only problem we had was that the coffee was not hot. It was mid-afternoon, so perhaps... I commented on that and the barista took the urn away to fix it, but did not fix it for me. I've been here twice and it did not disappoint. I am not from the area but it was such a delight discovering this little spot. The vibe of the tunes and the interior style was on point. The folks working there were super sweet with amazing customer service. The first time I had given this place a go I had the matcha tea with the ham & cheese pretzel sandwich. Unfortunately I did not take a photo so you will have to take my word for it, it was delicious. The second time I came I had the pumpkin spice coffee, which I am typically not a fan of them but I gave it a go and I was not disappointed. What I had to pair with my beverage was the cheese sandwich in bagel bread, along with a banana. I was pleasantly surprised, it tasted really good. Alright this place is adorable. Full disclosure: I don't drink coffee. But their iced chai tea latte was a dream, and even the glass was freaking adorable. This is an Excellent coffee shop we enjoyed when passing through the Toledo area. It's located in a really cute strip of shops with a quint small town feel. It's so cute inside this shop and the staff is extremely friendly. We tried the salted Caramel mocha and the regular mocha and a pup cup for our dog. They had all kinds of specialty drinks for the season. Everything sounded amazing! The service was quick and the pastries looked amazing too. We highly recommend the salted caramel mocha! The menu said the syrups are homemade and you could definitely tell the difference. At the end of the street there is a pretty memorial park right on the water. It is worth a walk down there after getting your coffee. We will definitely be back here when we pass through again! read more

After a month in the Toledo area, this was my favorite coffee shop. Good hot espresso drinks, friendly service, clean open light-filled atmosphere. For some reason the seasonal matcha drink was advertised as "low caffeine" - I tried it and was wired for hours. Like, literally until 3am. (Which makes sense, as matcha is highly caffeinated. I assumed their "low caffeine" tag meant they were using a decaf version. They are not.) It was tasty and refreshing though, so maybe worth the caffeine hangover the next day. No bike parking, and music is hit or miss (all Ed Sheeran one day, 50's tunes the next), but overall, best place I found in the area for hanging out with a laptop and espresso drink. read more

I was driving home on a long distance and stayed in a motel overnight when I thought to look for local coffee options. As soon as I saw Maddie & Bella's I knew I was very fortunate to have chosen Perrysburg to wake up in. As soon as I left Tim Horton's that morning I regretted not getting a real breakfast item; donuts don't count. How fortunate that I didn't, because Maddie & Bella's gave me THE most delicious egg and cheese on a biscuit I've ever had. It was gooey, warm and delicious - just what I needed to fortify me for the long drive ahead. It was well worth the short wait. And the honey cinnamon latte? It was recommended in another review on Yelp and I have to agree - it was a pleasure in every sip. How I wish I lived close by. I'd certainly be a regular. I just tried a couple drinks since we were only passing through town, but the coffee was good and the staff was nice and knowledgeable. We always strive to find local coffee houses when we travel and we visited Maddie & Bella based on prior Yelp reviews. Wow, what a terrific find! M&B is just what we look for in a local coffee stop - a variety of brews made from global beans, a good selection of sweet and savory items, nice atmosphere and service. The shop is on the main drag of Perrysburg just a half block from the river. We visited in the summer and enjoyed breakfast outside on the sidewalk. The house brew coffee was very good and what made it better was the $5 toast and coffee deal. I tried the almond butter and (locally made) jam on toast and my wife tried the almond butter/bananas and honey on toast. The bread was a nice thick cut. Great way to start the day. read more

I loved this place when I was visiting Toledo. My latte was extremely tasty. It was served at a drinkable temperature, with microfoam. They were pretty busy being a Sunday morning...but we still got our coffee pretty quick. I wish we would have gotten a little pastry or something, but we were saving our appetite for a later extravaganza. They had cute shirts/stickers and such, and a great overall setup. Hello fellow travelers! This is a coffee shop we decided to try before heading home because the coffee at the hotel wasn't great. It looks like the shop was named after a couple of dogs, but there were no animals present. It didn't look like there was anybody present who really knew what was going on either.While one young woman was checking in a delivery for an extended period of time, the other girl at the front counter was obviously overwhelmed and completely forgot to make that one coffee that our party ordered. To complicate things further, they have a special coffee menu where certain items have to be measured out to be put in the coffee, and by the time everyone finished their snacks, I had to have her put this delicious honey coffee thing in it to go cup. While I appreciate the fact she tried to give me a free coffee for my next visit, I am fairly certain I might never see this part of the state again. Perhaps it is not this way all of the time in the middle of a Monday morning, but I would hate to see what happens at this place was actually busy. read more

Only visited one time and got my latte to go but I am a HUGE fan!! Times 32. Let me tell you why! Maddie & Bella pride themselves on the freshness of their coffee (I certainly attest to this!). The baristas are friendly and kind. The menu is innovative (hello there, oatmeal latte and cereal milk cappuccino). The product is superb. And the space is niiiice - white, bright and located in a great spot in downtown Perrysburg. I ordered an iced Autumn Spice latte. Although it was a bit sweeter than I had anticipated, I savored each sip. Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a hurry so I couldn't stay but there were a few tables that would be absolutely ideal for studying, work or catching up with a friend. I think I found my new go-to spot (hip hip hooooray!) I went on a weekday just an hour before they were closing so I didn't see a lot of their food items but based on their menu and social media, it looks like their sandwiches and pastries would be tasty! This is located in the same place Parker used to be. There is more space up front so you don't have to crowd around the register and they have less technology now (screens everywhere) which makes it seem more quaint. I have only had coffee and expresso. They have pour overs of different types and a house blend, and unlike Parker, served in ceramic mugs! Carry out cups are fine for carry out but terrible for drinking in any cafe, in my opinion. Ceramic/glass allows for better taste is refined. So very happy for this! I don't like that the house coffee is served from a pump carafe, just seems wrong, not sure about affect to flavor. The expresso is VERY good. It is as good as better west coast places and even Europe (it is in line with better places in France and Italy....seriously). Two colleagues I was with are from South America, which has some excellent places for coffee and they both said it was great. The downside are the limited hours, they close early, so no Late night coffee while talking, reading or just relaxing, but the places is great for having coffee. I may try the food next time. The owners roast their own coffee and own a place downtown which I will try. Definitely worth a try, and if you don't like expresso, try it anyway, its that good. read more

The perrysburg location was very close to where I worked and I would stop in from time to do when I was hungry or needed a caffeine boost. They have something for everyone and the food is delicious. I got the ham and cheese sandwich with a pretzel bun and it was 10/10. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. I would highly recommend to anyone and it's near some great boutiques!
