I relocated to Oklahoma City for an executive role and trusted this company with my household belongings and family heirlooms. It was one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had. Items were thrown into the truck without proper wrapping or protection, a lawnmower was loaded upside down and leaked gas onto other belongings, and multiple pieces of furniture were damaged due to careless handling and improper stacking. I was later informed that the three individuals involved in my move were terminated because of the way my shipment was handled. What made matters worse was the claims process. Even with photos and documentation, the company argued over the damages, refused to cover the full amount, and offered only a minimal settlement. Do Not use Bigger Better Movers in OKC! Broke my dining room chair by dropping it! We witnessed it. They assured us they would fix it but has not after 6 weeks. We did not experience the same service as we are hearing from others on the review site. For our job- Payment for fixed, work and time was fixed. For delivery - will give a good pass. The job to assemble the furniture was not executed well. It was left all over the place ..25 % of things were not put together. The team on the ground reported to their superior that the job was completed. They did not waste time to ask for full payment, which was delivered on time as agreed. We were disappointed to discover the mess when we reached the house. We had to do a lot of things ourselves. Robert and Romeo called to let me know they were on the way, and they arrived ten minutes early. I had asked them last minute if they could move a couple of extra things for me & they were extremely kind and flexible. They got the job done in suck a quick and efficient manner! I felt bad because they had to carry my furniture up six flight of stairs since it didn't fit in the elevator; but they didn't mind. I appreciate their efforts and I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this business. They offered a better rate than other companies starting at $250 the first hour, then $135 the followings, charging in increments of 15 minutes. They also cover the first 20 miles! I've given this company about three weeks to address this issue and their automatic emails about leaving a review have been driving me up a wall so you're getting what you've asked for. Bigger "Better" movers? Yeah. Okay. I was told I'd get two professional movers and was left with two kids, one who was still in training. They complained about how much work they had done that week, and I tried to tell them that the next place they were going was going to be so much easier because there would be an elevator. They pack up the truck, and on the way to the place I'm moved to (which is about 30 minutes away from the first location) they needed to stop for gas. Not only gas but they went in and got snacks as well. This 20 minute time, which I argued about with their boss, was paid for by me. I know because I also stopped for gas and had to go in and pay with cash. On top of it all, they put the bed frame together wrong AND folded my mattress in half. OVER $600 just to pay for them to move me. I submitted a claim immediately after they left, photos included, and someone got back to me a few days later asking me for more information since the claim I placed was something never heard about before. It's been three weeks. No response. I have sent many follow up emails, have called and tried to get a hold of someone in charge and more. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. The worst packers I have ever seen. I had one box where all but one of my dishes were broken. They did not have wardrobes for my clothing and jammed all of my clothes in boxes. A complete set of things were in different boxes, it took me forever to find a remote and they were mixed up and hard to find. They scratched up the bottom of my freezer. The very worst thing is the apartment I moved in was completely redone every brand new. I asked them to move my freezer closer to the cabinet and they tore a hold in the flooring. They said at the time they would take care of it. When I asked them to please give me something in writing they said I was the one who moved the freezer. Bigger Better Movers lost our boxes and smashed what they did move, then left to go to their next scheduled job before our move was finished. We had them come back, and they did it again! Instead of experienced professional movers, two 20-year olds unfamiliar with how to move people's belongings turned up. One called saying someone else was moving out at the same time. When I asked what he meant, he inhaled a sudden sharp quick breath and hung up. Company policy is no move can begin without a walk-through. They never even came into our apartment. They moved a few boxes from our storeroom, and because there was only one elevator in the building and the other party was using it, stood around waiting, at $250 and $100 per hour. No one guarded our things, and anyone could have taken anything while our stuff sat outside. They spent several hours moving a few boxes, then left to go to their next job. They never even entered our apartment. I called Bigger Better Movers to get them to come back and finish the move, but they couldn't schedule us until three days later. It was the busiest moving time of the year and too late to hire other movers. I asked if they would just charge us the $100 hourly rate for a continuation instead of the $250 initial rate. He said they would, but they charged us the initial rate. The movers came back, moved a few more boxes from our storeroom, not even all of it, and once again left to go to their next job! I called to speak to someone in charge and get the movers back, but she said she was the only one in the office. I asked for a manager, and she told me there was no one available. I asked to leave a message. She told me the managers would not call me back, and they would not talk to me anyway. I finally got her to take a message saying with luck maybe they would call me back. She was right. They didn't. We planned on bringing only curated new and irreplaceable vintage items we had collected to sell. We ended up with lots of boxes of junk. We found weird stuff like a box of old broken star wars toys and other garbage that we had to pay to move just to throw away. Many of our belongings were lost, missing, stolen, or mixed up with the other party's boxes. I don't know what belongings of ours the other people ended up with, or what was simply left unprotected and stolen, but we were missing a lot. Our boxes were so junked, smashed and disorganized that we couldn't possibly inventory everything lost or damaged, especially not within the 24 hours allowed. It's stated on their website, "Unfortunately, damage may occasionally occur. If any items are broken or damaged during your move please submit them to our claims team within 24 hours." It was the busiest time of the year and everyone was booked, so now we had no choice but to try and move as much as we could by ourselves in a midsized car. We had to leave many of our valuable possessions and expensive furniture, including custom-made hardwood shelving which could not be moved by two older people in a midsized car. I had told them specifically when I made the reservation about the shelving, but no one even came inside our apartment to move them. We couldn't move much or quickly under the circumstances, especially without a truck, so we were still moving out a week past the end of our lease while paying rent on our new apartment. My spouse partially wrecked our car driving back and forth in very narrow garage levels with little sleep. He even damaged his feet by being constantly on them without any rest. Now he can barely drive a car and has difficulty walking because of damage done to his feet after Bigger Better Movers abandoned us. We scheduled our move well in advance of the last day of our lease so we would have time to move any remaining items and expected the movers to move anything left. When they didn't, we were held responsible for the extended stay along with exorbitant fees and charges to move the remaining furniture. The beautiful custom-made hardwood shelves and the rest of our nice furniture were gone. They charged hundreds to move a few boxes and even told us a tip was expected, so we thought a tip was required, as part of the cost. Their website states, "How much should I tip?" "Industry standard is generally 10-20% per crew for local moves. For example, if your move totals $500 then $50 or $100 tip is customary for the crew to split." We were fooled by all of the great reviews, but I know companies have employees, families and friends or themselves write fake reviews using one-time Gmail addresses, or even purchase reviews from overseas countries such as India or local writers who advertise these services. The move was not bad but two items were not the same. The Bowflex was wobbly after they assembled it and another mover had to come back to our homes months later and adjust and tighten it. And our adjustable bed had power cords that were ripped out and destroyed. They came out and looked at that and promised us a check. This was the most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. They do not honor their commitments and will not make you their priority. ~ 2 weeks prior to move: scheduled a move for 12/30/17 at 1:30 for a two bed two bath upper floor apartment under 1500 sq ft. 1:10 on 12/30/17: Movers call to let me know that they aren't coming due to the 20 degree temperature citing concerns about slick roads and slick stairs. I mention that I had just driven across town and the roads seemed ok, but that they didn't need to worry about the stairs since my stairs were inside. They cited the roads again, so we rescheduled my move for 1/1/2018 per their suggestion. I was told that if they were able to move their first place on the following day, that I absolutely would get moved earlier on 12/31. I was told to expect a call before 10 A.M. the next morning. 10:00 A.M. on 12/31: No phone call was received. Multiple calls went unanswered. 12:00 P.M. on 12/31: Temperature was in the low 20s. Mover called and apologized for not reaching out sooner. Said they were headed to a large 5 bed 3 bath job and would call me in about thirty minutes to let me know if they would have time to move me that day. 4:00 PM on 12/31: I called to check in, and was told that they couldn't get me in because the large move was taking too long, but not to worry since I was definitely on the schedule for the next day at 1:30. 12:40 on 1/1: Got a text message informing me that my move was once again cancelled due to the holiday and temperatures being below 25 degrees despite no slick roads. Was told that they would try to fit me in the next day but that they don't prioritize reschedules. Obviously, they were able to move someone else in temperatures below 25 degrees but refused to do so for me. Also scheduled me for a holiday but then used the holiday as an excuse not to do their job. Did not keep me well informed during the process and handled the whole situation poorly. I ended up having to take time off work on the 2nd to have another company come move me, and my mother who came in to help me move had to completely change her plans to help me stay. We were strung along for three days with no results. 10/10 would not recommend. Spend the extra money and get movers who will honor their commitments. read more

Nightmare! Besides the fact it took twice as long as expected, boxes marked "fragile" were dropped and most of the content was broken. The main problem was after returning to my old house the following morning, I found a 4' sq area of soaking wet carpet. I had not been told the washer connection was dripping after they disconnected the washers. Being Saturday I had to leave a voicemail, which was never returned. The following Monday I sent a message via their website along with pictures--still have not heard from anyone. The crew brought no water (100 degree day). All the guys (workers and owner) were courteous, communicative, and provided great customer service. We had some scheduling issues which were communicated well and they still honored my move (even though they had to work on Mother's Day)--this actually worked better with my schedule. I packed myself so I cannot comment on that portion of their business. I moved from a 2 story townhome to a 3 story. All of my possessions were treated well, extra care was taken with the items I pointed out as important, and everything arrived in the same manner in which it started. I was thrilled when I found a flat-rate moving company in OKC, and even more excited when I saw all the great reviews on Google and Facebook. After speaking with someone on the phone and booking online, I was also told that I would get an additional $ amount off as a summer special - even better! Unfortunately, when I emailed them two days before moving to check in about the discount and a bed disassembling fee, I was given some nightmarish news by Daniel White (the owner, I believe): Despite multiple appointment confirmation emails, one from that same morning even, I was not actually in the system. What? His flippant explanation was this: "Yes, sometimes the system doesn't allocate the right crew for the right jobs. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I can give you a referral if you have to be moved out Wednesday." So, it seems like based on this and at least a couple of other 1 star Yelp reviews, booking with BBM is a gamble. You might get 5 star service if they honor their scheduled appointments, or two days before moving they might tell you that you don't actually have an appointment with them. The guys were professional and nice but not very careful. At my new house they banged my doorframe and didn't cover my end table so I have scratches on the top. But the kicker is they forgot a box and instead of coming back to drop of box they instead said they would get it to me the next day. 4 days latter after I had to call the office,it was dropped off at my old address because the movers could find the new address where they had been too just 4 days earlier. Our moving team was easy to schedule. The contact communicated in a document what they would do as standard services and what tasks would be extra charges to be arranged before they arrived. The team showed up on time and did a good job in loading items. The job went smoothly and was completed in under the estimated time. I only needed to pay the minimum amount for services. This teams offers great service for a good price. It's a flat rate so they work fast. There's no milking the clock. I had 5 or 6 people show up including the owner. They were polite...each guy introduced himself and shook my hand. They were able to load up my apartment, stop at another house to grab a few pieces of furniture and deliver to my new house about 20 minutes away including putting each box and furniture piece where I wanted it in about 2.5 hours. The furniture was wrapped with blanket and shrink wrap which many in town movers don't do. Much appreciated. I'm not super chatty and that can be a challenge in Oklahoma since everyone is overly polite and talkative. These guys are on a time schedule so they just smile and work and communicate to get the job done. Talk about taking a stressful moving day and making it easy. Very disappointed with Bigger Better Movers, they were hired to do two truck loads for me. Moving day went well, the movers had worked a hard day, it was starting to get dark and we were all tired. It was agreed upon to do the second truck load within the next week. The driver called the owner, got approval and the truck driver signed our paperwork agreeing to this. We paid $650.00 for the first truck load and the second truck load was to be $175.00. They never scheduled us for the second truck load! I called them several times and just got the run around... "We're booked for the next week in a half". ....So schedule us ASAP.....No, lady on the phone does not have that authorization to schedule us. ...And the owner will not return any of my phone calls! (WTH). We have been majorly inconvenienced as we still have large furniture items at our old house and a Refrigerator.
