I had a very good experience with Thunder Moving…read more I had already gotten quotes from several companies when I messaged Kye on Yelp. I am glad I switched for a few reasons. 1) Some other moving companies charge you from the time their truck leaves their own building to the time they get back to their own building, which makes zero sense. Thunder Moving only charges you for time the guys spend actually moving, down to the minute. 2) Kye responds basically instantly, most of the time within minutes. Communication was flawless, which is of insane importance on days where everything overlaps and needs to happen as smoothly as possible. 3) I told Kye I couldn't match an exact 2:00 PM window because I was closing on my house right at 1:00 PM and didn't know how long it would take. He said it was no problem and that he would let the team know. I happened to close early and messaged Kye and the moving team called me within like 20 minutes. 4) Clayton and Cade were very polite and professional. They had a trustworthy, small business demeanor and at no point did I feel uncomfortable in a series of potentially stressful/vulnerable situations. I immediately told them that I had one item I was worried about, a massive marble table that took me and my friends great effort to move. Clayton and Cade picked it up like a Ritz cracker and said that they could do it no problem. When placing the actual table at the new house, I initially wanted them to put it off-center to fit a side table in the dining room, but Cade said, "Do you want it under the light?" and I thought, "duh, he's right." I'm glad he said something cuz it would be a royal pain in my ass to move it later, even a few feet. Clayton seemed to have the leadership role and asked all the right questions and was very efficient with time and going over paperwork. He started the clock literally the minute they started moving so there was no "bloat" or an inflated price. He even slightly corrected a few minutes we had spent going over some things since the actual moving was done. Overall, he came across very knowledgeable and definitely has leadership potential. Cade was awesome too and super friendly. When I first saw them get out of the truck, I thought "man these guys are string beans," but actually they were super strong. At one point Cade was carrying a million pound object with just his fingers and had a facial expression like he was carrying a piece of paper. From the time the clock started to the time they were done, they were in constant movement. There was no slacking or breaks, not that I would have complained if they needed breaks. I'm just pointing out these two guys were super efficient. They made a plan for every object and communicated well between each other. Anyone who's moved knows that the planning part is the most important when trying to fit weird-shaped things through small doors and they made a great team. It would have taken me and my friends double the amount of time with triple the amount of headache. 5) The ending price was actually cheaper than I expected. There were no hidden fees, literally just the math of the hourly rate times the minutes used. I think maybe there were some minor charges for things like wrap or something, but I either didn't use it or didn't use much. 6) Their Yelp reviews were WAY better than competitors. Even the complaints seem to have the irate customer dying off on responses while Kye is still replying. If you're that mad and have a justifiable reason, I don't see why you wouldn't keep following up both in email and on Yelp. Definitely seems like if Thunder were in the wrong, you wouldn't let them have the last word and just give up. Anyway, obviously I can't speak to their ability to handle disputes, etc. since my experience was seamless, but I've worked in CS/Management for a long time and have dealt with thousands of irate customers. I've never seen a customer who was absolutely in the right just stop responding. If you got the proof, you got the proof, and you aren't going to stop chasing money that you feel is yours. Just my two cents. Anyway, moving is super annoying and I hope I never have to do it again. Even with Thunder doing all the heavy lifting, I'm exhausted and in pain. But if I had to move again I would for sure use Thunder Moving and highly recommend them.

They never once made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing them, and they stayed so positive, kind, and helpful the entire time. They went above and beyond, helping me with every random little thing that came up like finding me a stand on amazon that would fit my tv and giving me opinions on my decor when I needed advice. Just genuinely such nice people and such a great experience. I'm incredibly grateful for how accommodating and helpful they were, especially on such short notice. It took three attempts before the contract was actually written correct correctly. But that didn't matter because they were supposed to be there between six and 630 on a hot August day and they arrived at about 640 with one truck. I specifically asked if they were full-time workers or hired and they shared with me they were full-time and they also shared that they had their own moving trucks and they actually showed up in a U-Haul truck. Of course at this point when you're ready to move an entire house they kind of have you over a bend and they realize this so I had three movers and one truck and I made a phone call and I talked with the Oklahoma City manager, not the initial person out of Tulsa and he was very like well things happen, you know we're doing our best we have to pivot, blah, blah, blah blah blah, and they can go get another truck you know, U-Haul doesn't open until seven. They had a truck breakdown and they knew they didn't have their own moving truck last week. So again he kept saying well we can go wait at U-Haul but it's gonna slow down your move and we could get started and go ahead and get them going. Yada yada yada basically blew us off so we had one truck and three guys they started and they did move at a fairly consistent, slow pace. So they filled up one truck and if they would've had the second truck there we could've kept going. But what they had to do was they had to take an hour and 25 minutes to go get the second truck and they acted like well. it's really not a big deal but it actually is because if they would've had the second truck, they could've taken their hour lunch and then we could've gotten ahead of the game by 25 extra minutes. They were one supervisor type person and two younger guys, and then the third younger guy came along at 9:15. I called the owner Corey and all I got was things happen and we have to pivot and protocol this and protocol that and protocol this and he said they should communicate with you when the fourth guy is coming and there was no communication and he said well our protocol says this there is no communication. One of the young men dinged our Wall my husband ended up, going to Walmart to get some plaster and fixing it and painting it Someone else broke a lamp. And then one of the gentlemen opened our glass door too hard and the little thing that you slide to keep the glass door open broke. At this point, we just wanted them to leave. We did get a $100 discount for the hole in the wall and they are "ordering a lamp that should be there Tuesday or Wednesday we shall see. I really liked Corey the one from Tulsa, but he's a salesman and just be mindful of that. Jacob in Oklahoma City could give a rats behind. It was a debacle from the start. I had one young man who was dropping the F bomb in my home the other one his pants were literally falling down because he forgot to wear a belt. It just wasn't a great experience at all moving as stressful enough, but they certainly knew they had you over the barrel and when they just act like they don't care and that's my opinion, it makes it even worse. We end up tipping the movers. It's a hot August day over 100° took him a long time but my point being they knew they weren't gonna have two trucks for the contract and I think that's just shady. I would not recommend them based on my experience and my personal opinions .

Items were thrown into the truck without proper wrapping or protection, a lawnmower was loaded upside down and leaked gas onto other belongings, and multiple pieces of furniture were damaged due to careless handling and improper stacking. I was later informed that the three individuals involved in my move were terminated because of the way my shipment was handled. What made matters worse was the claims process. Even with photos and documentation, the company argued over the damages, refused to cover the full amount, and offered only a minimal settlement. After finally agreeing to a reduced amount just to move on, they still failed to send the check as promised. Do not trust this company with your furniture, valuables, or family heirlooms.
