I would have been more understanding if the DR advised fir us to take her to UC Davis the night my daughter brought my Grandbaby in, but he didn't and sent her home. He did test her for the rihnovirus and rsv which came up negative. 2 days later she was worse, I called this hospital and an amazing nurse told us they would transfer her to US Davis if we brought her in anyways if she needed more than what they could do for her and told us to drive safe on our way there. So we took her right away, she is in ICU getting amazing care! She has HMPV virus which also went into the beginning of pneumonia and a UTI and she's only 10 months old. My daughter said the DR at Orchard tried to take care of the baby, but was not equipped to do so. Maybe instead of sending her home, advising to go to UC Davis would have been sufficient enough for us because we did not know where to take her to get her the help she needed and we were just reaching out for help 8r advice. I have been to this hospital for myself and they went over and beyond to help me, but infants or children, take them to UC Davis if really sick.

(https://www.linkedin.com/in/salah-sherif-73a1029a/overlay/about-this-profile/) NOTE: No exaggeration of circumstances, this is exactly what happened: I was ambulanced in from a high speed motorcycle crash from Thunderhill race way (90mph+). I had a golf ball sized bump on my left temple, shoulder was jacked up and sticking out, and I was in a very bad state from the hit to my head (Cracked my helmet). The ambulance staff and nurses were great. As they were wheeling me into a room, I saw a guy sitting in what appeared to be a closet watching Youtube videos on his phone. Not trying to be funny but I thought it was the janitor. The nurse, (Can't remember her name but her husband was also a veteran), got me set up, spoke with me, and just was there to sit with me and make me feel comfortable. Thank you! A "Doctor" came in, and to my surprise, it was the guy sitting in the closet watching Youtube. He came out, asked me some questions which I could not understand as his English is terrible. Took a quick look at my shoulder and left. Said nothing about the golf ball sized bump on my head. From my vantage point, he went back to his closet and began watching Youtube again, I could hear it. I was in disbelief but OK, we are waiting for the Xray. He comes out again after the Xray and said I have a Shoulder Sprain without going into any details. I saw that my IV was out of my arm and told him to put it back in so I have the pain medication. I had to ask him 3 times to do this and even showed him. He left the room again and the kind nurse did this. Where do you think he went...back to the closet to watch Youtube. The nurse sat with me until my ride came and we just talked which really helped take my mind off of the pain and shock. I would think a Dr. would show more interest in a patient that just came in from a horrific crash and at least be concerned with a concussion that was visible from my forehead. Maybe ordered a CT scan at a minimum. I then started thinking maybe this guy forged his Medical training when he came over from his country. I just could not believe this is a doctor. If you get seriously hurt in Willows, California (ThunderHill Crazies...), I hope you have another choice at this facility. Salah Sherif, MD could get you killed by not going through proper procedures and showing a little more concern than wanting to get back to watching his Youtube. Must have been a good show?

Rideout Hospital - 3AM Flank Pain, Anxiety Poops, and an RN Named Sara Who Deserves a Trophy…read more I rolled into Rideout Hospital around 3AM on Sunday, July 27th, after hours of battling whatever-the-heck-was-happening to my right side. Flank pain from hell. I tried everything at home Tylenol, ibuprofen, deep breathing, mild crying, you name it. I finally gave up pretending I could handle it and decided to go in, expecting the usual ER horror story: packed waiting room, dismissive staff, and being told to just "walk it off." Nope. Plot twist, it was EMPTY. I was checked in and seen in literally 10 minutes. My BP was sky-high (169/90), and the team jumped into action like a Nascar pit crew. I was given oral pain meds, labs were drawn, and soon I was moved to the back where the real MVP of this story appears: RN Sara. From start to finish, Sara was everything. She didn't just do her job she nailed it. She advocated for me, listened, and made sure I got the right pain meds. The doc was about to give me Dilaudid, but Sara was like, "Let's try morphine first" and she was right. It worked perfectly, and honestly, I don't think my body or my soul could've handled anything stronger. She took the time to assess what I actually needed, not just what was on autopilot protocol. Total lifesaver. And then came the most humbling part: anxiety hit me like a truck and brought along its BFF emergency bathroom runs. Every five minutes, there I was, speed-walking to the bathroom in between waves of panic and pain. It was humiliating. But Sara? She never made me feel awkward or gross or dramatic. She was understanding, gentle, and even joked with me and my sister to keep the mood light. Bless her. Eventually, I got a CT scan because the pain was no joke, and while they didn't find anything alarming (just some good ol' constipation), they told me to come back immediately if the pain returned. The PA on call gave me a well-deserved "mom talk" about not mixing mega doses of Tylenol and ibuprofen like I'm a chemist with no consequences, which I appreciated. Stern but caring. By the time I left, I was pain-free, relaxed (ish), and just really grateful I had gone in. I was originally hesitant I mean, let's be real, women often get brushed off in ERs for pain. But not this time. I was taken seriously, cared for quickly, and treated with so much compassion. I hope whatever went down in my body that night never comes back, but if it does, I know exactly where I'm going. And if I'm lucky, Sara will be on shift again, because she is an absolute gem.

The hospital entered an incorrect address, and correcting the error has been unnecessarily complicated. On top of that, several phone interactions felt dismissive and unhelpful. Patients dealing with medical issues shouldn't have to fight this hard just to get basic assistance.
