Most of the time, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. My toddler lets her clothes hit the floor and we have to change her completely because someone else's urine is all over the floor. The toilet seats have poop on them, even the door handle is questionable. Why am I giving 4 stars? The staff!! No matter the time of day or the amount of people, they are always so nice! They interact with my kids and make jokes, always smiling and offering to help. It's funny because I have watched the same person interact with a truck driver who doesn't want to be bothered and they tone down the smiles and jokes. I'd stop here for gas and definitely stop here for some snacks, but go down the street to use the bathroom.

Plus Scotty's is right near the hotel I normally stay at when I am in town. The pump is not old style but for some reason we still have to go inside to pay with our fuel cards. No biggie, they have good prices on a pretty wide variety of drinks and convenience store doo dads. They don't really have any warm food to speak of, unless you are driving through during the summer and get that sun warmed beef jerky from the late day sun. If you are looking for one stop shopping, this probably isn't your best bet. But if you are looking for easy and quick in and out fuel convenience, Scotty's has you covered.

But once you're inside you'll be glad for the break since service is warm and friendly, food selection is decent and the gifts are interesting. During winter the area can get pretty sketchy driving, so be forewarned. Lots of blowing snow and temps are much cooler. On the plus side the drive south will take you past a gorgeous lake and a quaint little frontier town.
