    * Perfect little caffeine pit stop! *…read more Caught this cute little spot early in the morning on our drive down to San Diego from Reno, and it completely made our day. If you love coffee that actually tastes like coffee (and not liquid sugar), this is your place. My Oat Milk Honey latte was delicious, and my husband's extra strong 4 shot sugar-free latte did exactly what it needed to do for the long drive ahead. The barista who assisted us was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home the second we walked in. The inside is so cozy and peaceful that we decided to stretch our legs and enjoy our drinks at the table rather than rushing back to the car. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're passing through!

There are many individual bagged coffees to choose from. This shop is on the 395 in Walker. Lots of parking in front with plenty of seating inside to relax and enjoy your cup of joe. There is also outside seating as well. We ordered a cappuccino and ice coffee. The coffee is bold and smooth, no hidden flavors detected. The shop has some breakfast and lunch offerings as well as a few different baked goods. They also have a clean restroom for customers, as every good coffee shop should. Walker Coffee Company also has a gift store/fly fishing vibe with hats, shirts, cups, and fly fishing equipment. I also noticed a sign for fly fishing guide service. The shop was extremely clean and the staff very welcoming. This is a must stop when traveling through Walker! Their Summer hours are 7 days a week 7 am - 5pm.

It's not a rush in-rush out kind of place. I think that is the idea of a good coffee shop. You need to slow down for a minute to pace the day properly. I came in about 10am on a weekday. There were a few patrons in the shop doing some work, and having meetings. I was greeted by the barista and placed my order. My drink was ready in a few minutes and it was perfect. I'm not sure why I havent come in before, I guess I was in a hurry and wasn't paying attention. This will be my new coffee spot in Incline.

It's located in a nice area with plenty of parking and even has a decent bathroom. It also happens to be near the East Tahoe Trail (one of my favorite lake walks), which is what brought me here. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was fun, but my drink was just okay. Pretty bummed. I gave the summer menu a try and ordered the Pink Velvet Latte--fun name and flavor profile--but it lacked flavor. I ordered mine breve style with half-and-half, and honestly, it just tasted like iced half-and-half. There wasn't even a hint of the raspberry or coconut mentioned in the description. I love lattes and usually order them breve style, but I've found not every coffee shop can balance the trifecta of bold coffee, cream, and flavor. An expensive latte with no flavor is no bueno. That said, I know for next time to ask for a little extra syrup because I really love the vibe and the convenient location. I'll definitely be back. Oh and they gave out free stickers, so that's awesome!

I have had their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, and Carne asada burrito. Even with the food being above average I still hesitate to go back because of a few things. First one being in regards to the seating within the restaurant. It's a complete joke. I don't want to sit in small uncomfortable metal chairs or a wooden bench. Second, is their french fries, they are way to greasy and really just suck. I have even requested them to be well done but even then they are limp and greasy. Lastly, why can't I have a breakfast burrito for lunch. It's weird that I can have it after 2pm but can't at noon. Overall, like it said it's not a bad spot but it's also not a spot I would crave to eat at either.

I've already been here a couple times now. I wanted to wait on reviewing it until they've had…read moreenough time to work out the kinks (they've recently opened). I'll start by saying I'm not crazy about the interior. I do like the hanging lights they've put up to give it a dark & cozy feel, but I hate the seating arrangements. For starters, there's only 2-3 tables with chairs and they look cheap. Almost like they picked them up at a garage sale or something. Also, the place doesn't have a very welcoming vibe to it, in my opinion. It appears unorganized and hastily thrown together. That's the biggest area of improvement I see for this place. Now on to the good. On my first visit, all I ordered was the Peanut Butter Protein shake and it wasn't very good. The taste of banana was strong with only a hint of PB. This time around, the flavor profile was much more balanced. So while it has improved, it's still something I feel I could just whip up at home instead of plopping down $6 bucks for. It needs something added to give it a boost. I also gave the food a shot and ordered the, "New York", bagel. It was scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, and ham (I had them hold the ham) sandwiched in between a, you guessed it, bagel. I will admit, it was delicious. Huge, as well. They certainly don't skimp on the serving size. My only complaint was that they used what appeared to be a "Kraft" slice of cheese. I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like to me. I wish they would use a higher quality cheese. The customer service is good. In the few times I've been there I haven't encountered any rude employees. While I feel that there's definitely some improvements that need to be addressed, they're also off to a decent start. Using better quality ingredients, labeling items that contain nuts (for those with allergies), and improving the look & feel of the interior is what I would like to see. I will definitely come back from time to time to try out other menu items.

Inside this refurbished old grammar school is an amazing little cafe operated by YTA. I used to come to the cafe when I lived in Yerington and it was under different management. I am so happy to see that the Cafe has been revived under the capable management of Roy Enochson, the Executive Director of YTA. A friend and I decided to have lunch here recently. The Cafe is in the lobby area of the Theater and serves as a place to eat, an art gallery and a boutique for all sorts of arts and crafts most of which are locally made. The space is a bit like being in a favorite Auntie's parlor with little tables, comfy chairs and a visual cornucopia of treasures. My friend ordered the lunch special - butternut squash ravioli with a side salad. I ordered the Cafe Signature Salad - a lovely fresh blend of baby greens, apples, cheese, cranberries, candied walnuts all lightly dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a blood orange Italian Soda. The food was all tasty and fresh. Service was vey friendly, but the food was slow coming out. It was worth the wait. Our total bill for the two of us was under $20. While the portions were not huge, the meal was satisfying and the quality was excellent. This is a definite place to stop if you are in the area. It is a fabulous alternative to the fast food and casino coffee shops that are in the area.

This coffee place has always been one that we've seen whenever we've driven out of town to go to SoCal and always said "we need to check this place out someday". Super glad that we finally did, I got a peppermint latte and the wife got a toffee latte. They even have locally made ice cream and the kids enjoyed chocolate brownie, and cookies and cream. The lattes were both great flavored and really well made with beans brewed from Old World Coffee (Reno) beans. Which is our favorite roaster in the area. Honestly with our travels out of state and internationally, we found that Old World has the best roasted beans around. There's plenty of space in the main part of the coffee shop and a side room with a community table and even an area for kids to play and read books. I wish we had a good coffee place like this in the Sparks area. This will definitely be a staple when we're in town.

While ownership has changed at one point, the bakery has stayed in the family. Locals absolutely depend on this jewel. High Sierra bakery is more than just a shop, but a place where neighbors meet, chat, and feel at home, fostering a sense of connection. Locals also order donuts for their different clubs, acitivities and gatherings. Tourism is also a big part of the bakery clientelle. The bakery has extended hours during peak summer time. It's essential to get to the bakery early during these times to be able to have many variety choices. While the bakery must close for the winter, you can depend on them usually beginning in April into October. It has been a long time, but we have ordered birthday cakes in the past. Everything here is consistent. The apple fritters are a big hit, and I say big hit because they are HUGE. The bakery also has sandwiches on the menu, but I think they are usually not available until after 11. There is plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. Parking is available on the street and it is within walking distance from all local motels.
