The Paris-Brest was gorgeous and full of hazel it flavor and a blend of textures. The Mont Blanc Caramel was also wonderful--just the right amount of sweet tempered by the slight bitterness of the caramel and chocolate. It was absolutely delicious (and also beautiful). I highly recommend a stop at Angelina if you are visiting Versailles. After feasting your eyes on the beauty of the palaces and grounds, it's only fair that your other senses get a turn.

There was a good amount of seating available and I reserved a seat while my cousin waited in line for our order. The food is pricey given the convenience location inside a popular tourist destination, so we were set on just trying the famous hot chocolate. The hot chocolate certainly lived up to its famous status, it was very rich in flavor and you'll be sipping it for quite a while. If you're a fan of hot chocolate, don't miss out on trying Angelina's famous hot chocolate. If you're not, move along and find some options in Versailles if you're not liking the price point.

If pastries aren't your thing, you fail - but...they also have excellent looking breads - there were a few adorbs French families loading up on loaves - and they also have sandwiches. Rose - really really good! Flavor was nice and perfect amount of sweetness. Probably my favorite among them all. Pistachio - I usually always love a pistachio macaron but this one was just normal. No wow factor or anything. Raspberry - I had High hopes for this one but the filling was like a raspberry jam and didn't go too well with the macaron shell. A bit too overpowering. Orange Blossom - subtle but delicious. Not too strong of an orange flavor, but it was really nice overall. Lemon - horrible! It was actually bitter like lemon zest. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.
