Cafe Bouffon - Crispy on the outside yet soft and runny on the inside!

Just one star off for the priciness, but otherwise really delicious, really pleasant environment,…read moreand a super helpful and friendly server. The French onion soup was really thick with cheese at the top, perhaps a bit too much so. The carrot salad was really pleasant to eat and felt healthy. The burger had a nice flavor and texture to it; the bun was a bit sweet, and the fries were tasty, but not super crisp though crisp enough, and a bit salty. The leek tartine was a bit monolithic, the leek being too oily and the bread a bit flat. It was overpriced by about $6 or $7 in my opinion. Wish there was as little more going for it. The crepes were decent; the nutella crepe was particularly sweet. For dessert, the roulé au chocolat was top notch, with a freshly whipped cream accompanying a sturdy and flavorful chocolate roll cake. Music was good too! All in all a good way to spend time eating and having a bite with friends and family prior to a show.

We were surprised when we got our bill that we were charged for Stillwater $2 per person. They should at least let you know that there was a charge for water. The olives were uninspiring and I expected more when the charge is $8 for a few olives in a bowl.

I dropped in the other day just a week before Xmas dinner for one…read more It started odd no tables no chairs it was just at opening time I asked are you open and yes they were a table and chairs were set up. It seems they had just had a big event standing room only . I had the scollops as an app and Nookie with beef as a main. The scollops were very good the Nookie was great I like rich food and this was very rich. I did not try the drinks and will next time. Service was great now I was the only one in the Restaurant the whole time so how it goes when full I have no idea. Portions were good service was good nice place nice town . A good place to go as a couple or with friends . Price was very good for the quality and service and on a normal night I am sure they have tables and chairs already set up . I will go back parking is easy out front look it up on a map as it is not on the main drag in Paris but easy to find cross the bridge turn right turn right into the parking lot . A positive place to go for a nice dinner I was impressed . Great job guys. Garth

Food: 2 Decor: 3…read moreService: 3 Came here for dinner on my drive from St. Catharines to Tillsonburg. Overall, did not like the food and would not return. SCALLOPS AND PORK BELLY with miso-peanut sauce, chili crisp, cilantro and lime ~4/5. Good, the best dish of the night by far. Proteins were cooked well, and the dish was seasoned nicely. Nice texture and balance with the peanut sauce and chili crisp. BONE MARROW AND STEAK TARTARE housemade accompaniments and grilled bread - loaded $5 ~2/5. Bread was a bit stale, tartare did not taste fresh, and I did not like the marrow preparation. Ate less than half. SEAFOOD LINGUINI shrimp, scallops, mussles and lobster in a corn and n'duja cream sauce (pescatarian optional) ~2/5. Similar to the marrow and tartare, food did not taste fresh. Ate less than half. Service was fine, although a bit surprising I wasn't asked how the food was given I didn't even half of 2 of 3 dishes.
