I used to follow them on Instagram and on several occasions, I would inquire about an item via comments on her pictures (the way so many other people do). Sadly, I never got a response. At one point, there was a dress that I was absolutely IN LOVE with, and this time, I called to purchase it. The girl I spoke with on the phone told me that they were all out of my size. A couple days later, my mom and I went to Dust Bowl to eat and since we were already in the area, we decided to stop at OneSixteen Bijou. They had THREE of the dress I wanted in my size. I was pissed, didn't end up buying the dress, and left. Also, to confirm what I've read in others' reviews, their customer service really is non-existent. The girl behind the counter didn't acknowledge us at all, not even when I loudly told my mom "Look! This is the dress I had called about that they apparently 'didn't have any more in my size!'", she looked up from her phone, gave me a dirty look and then went back to whatever she was doing. read more

First, I LOVE the clothes at one sixteen! But each time I've shopped here the employees working were so rude. I felt like it was annoying her (the employee) that she had to stop what she was doing to ring me up ( I was the only person shopping in the store) and I was tempted to walk out. Beautiful clothes, extremely over priced, and terrible customer service. Both in store and online, the service quality is poor. All of the models are size xs and the store typically only carries 1 small, 1 med, and 1 large so once its gone you're out of luck. Typically I would go in for an outfit, be unable to purchase it in my size and when asking about restock get ignored. I recommend going in and finding the brand you like, and buying it else where. read more

Creative Math in use! We bought a $30.00 gift card to Bijou and gave it to our daughter. We had never been there, but we like supporting smaller businesses. My daughter went on Black Friday and found a $39.00 scarf. Since everything was 25% off, she was going to get a nice scarf without any cost, or so she thought. My daughter put the scarf on the counter and pulled out her gift card. The woman said, "You're in luck!" She should have said, "Watch this sleight of hand!" She banged away at calculator and said, "$39.00 - 30.00 gift card = $9.00 - 25% = 2.25 discount = 6.75 + .51 tax = $7.26!! My daughter paid rather than correct her and walked out wondering whether the woman was slick or dumb. Either way it wasn't good business. If she'd had a $100.00 bill in her hand, here's how the calculation would work: $39.00 x 25% off = 9.75 or 29.25 + 2.23 tax = 31.48. (Or using the 30.00 gift card = $1.48). I know it's a little less than $6.00 total, but an approximate 20% error is huge . You be the judge: Slick or dumb? read more

Very disappointed. I drove all the way out from Danville to pick up a shirt I had put on hold over the phone. Their instagram page said open from 12-5, & it was 12:30 at the time & still not open...so I commented on the picture asking when it was going to open & that I was outside. Within 2 minutes not only did I not get a response, but the picture was deleted off of the page. Atleast respond, not delete the picture. So upset, if I could give 0 stars I definitely would. What a cute boutique this place is! I really did like the style of clothing the store carries and the decor is nicely put together. However, my reason for the two star is for the non-existence customer service. I walked in on January 26 and not once did the girl working there acknowledge me or offer any assistance.
