We had Hannah as a server. She came over after about 10 minutes with no one telling us they'll be with us soon. The host sat us but no server told us be right there. When she finally did she said "ok did you want anything ?" With no smile no hello I'm Hannah. Just a plain angry unfriendly face. We all are in the hospitality industry so we smiled and gave her a chance and were polite. She took forever to come back to get our orders and again said a very curt "what do you want" instead of May I take your order or did you have any questions or were you ready to order. She started walking away before we got to say we wanted an app and were ready for entrees I had to stop her while she turned around and said oh sorry we're ready to order too. My parents shared a burger and she said want it cut in half ? But didn't get them a plate or give us plates for the app. Didn't offer refills or check on us. Food was not good. It used to be better. I know I've had better experiences here and it's sad to see it go downhill

However, it tasted as if one of the kitchen workers had sprinkled table salt over the top of the pizza. (Yuck. Not every food requires additional salt.) I was pleasantly surprised to find actual Asians working in here (I am half-Asian), and I found the food to be pretty good and on par with any typical Americanized Chinese buffet. I saw many patrons coming in and filling a plate for take-out, and I think I will try that as well. Service was friendly, and the prices were extremely reasonable. The interior is a bit run down, but the overall atmosphere is comfortable. There are two entrances - one facing the street and one in the back - so there are plenty of places to park. My only real heartburn is that there is an aquarium with several fish that are way too large to be in it. The poor fish didn't have room to even move. I hope China Buffet sticks around, because it's a great place to satisfy a Chinese food craving without breaking the budget, right here in Hibbing!
