Look, I really don't want to be harsh, but I have no idea how this restaurant has so many positive reviews AND repeat customers. As an Asian American, there is absolutely NOTHING remotely authentic about this menu, in fact, it reeks a bit of cultural appropriation and borders on offensive. The fact that they use the term "oriental" to describe their cuisine speaks volumes. I ordered an array of items to try, and each one was more disappointing than the previous one. It seemed like the chef just put popular dish items on the menu and then whipped up whatever he/she had back there. At one point, I honestly thought I was being punked...that some of the dishes were a joke. See photos of my food items to judge for yourself. The "chow mein" is especially embarrassing. To add insult to injury, each dish is upwards of $11, and you could pan fry some top ramen noodles that tasted better than these dishes. The entire restaurant staff was Caucasian, including one of the chefs, who I saw come from the kitchen to hand deliver a take-out order. I have a hard time coming to terms with believing that this is what Midwest folks think is Asian cuisine, let alone GOOD Asian cuisine, especially when you have a decent Chinese buffet down the street. I have NO problem with restaurants serving "homemade" food, but don't try to pawn it off as anything remotely "oriental" when you haven't even made a basic attempt to recreate anything with any semblance of Asian flavor. Home cooking away from home. They have a variety of great dishes and when they have any chef special, GET IT. It usually means they have a special ingredient not native to Minnesota and it's always good. I am on vacation and this would be my 12th visit since my arrival. Today, I had the chef special that included "rau muong" stir fried with garlic. Soooooo delish. The leafy portion was soft and melted like butter while the stalk had a perfect snap with every bite. I also had the fried rice which was cooked to perfection. I was worried it may not have enough flavor but after I spooned my first mouthful, I got drop kicked with savoriness and goodness that I can't describe. The rice wasn't over cooked, which for me is huge. I hate eating extremely dry fried rice because it take all the flavor away. The soup was also done with precision. Egg drop soup was so robust with flavor, I actually asked for seconds for my appetizer. Our waitress's name was Jessica and Rose and were a dolls. They both were courteous, friendly, and amazing. My beverage was always full and their service was superb. Also noted was how the restaurant was extremely clean. No overly insulting odors and the bathroom was pleasant. We stopped in for dinner after reading the 5-star reviews but left disappointed. The Mongolian Beef was almost unbearably salty, but it did have good spice. The carrots in the dish were flimsy and obviously frozen. The sweet and sour shrimp were over-battered and the batter fell off the shrimp into the sauce. The wonton wrappers were really thick and overcooked. The high prices don't match the poor quality of the food, so unfortunately we will not be back. read more

Absolutely love the Marinated Beef and Pho Noodle Soup! Only complaint I have is the cost of delivery. The food is absolutely amazing and the owner is a very kind family oriented woman!
